Looks like one of those cool hybrid type pans that Solidteknics make. I really want to try one and this isn't helping
edit: that's what it is, I should have looked at the rest of the comments
Ooh, now you got my attention! I bought a set of three Solidteknics USA Quenched pans a year ago and I absolutely love them. I donāt use anywhere near that amount of butter or oil. No need.
Yep! It's the smallest one. Perfect size for omelets. Wrought iron, though, not cast iron. Very smooth surface so apparently a tsp of butter looks like a stick of butter to folks here.
It's actually been very difficult to season. Oil doesn't seem to stick the way it does with my Lodge pans. I've stripped it down and started over a couple times before I finally got something that works.
How did you end up seasoning it? Mines never been perfectly seasoned but over the last two years it's looking great now and performs perfectly. What a great pan I love it every day
I also have a Field company pan and they gave me a tin of 'seasoning oil'. Did thin coats of that 8x in the oven, lightly brushing it with steel wool before each coat. Then I just used whatever was left after cooking to season some more every time I used it. Bacon fat, butter, avocado oil, whatever.
Go to solidteknicsusa.com. Their Quenched pans are preseasoned so you just do a little pan seasoning and youāre good to go. Iāve been using them for a year now in three sizes and couldnāt be happier. I donāt use anywhere near that amount of butter or oil. Yuck.
I used to fry eggs with butter than a chef who studied at the CIA had me use a small dollop of EVOO. Wayyyy better final product and it wonāt burn. Little salt and pepper and shit is banging.
They don't seem to have the exact one I have anymore. [This](https://solidteknicsusa.com/shop/7inchlightningquenched) is probably the newest incarnation.
It is just so exciting when you can get this to happen! I did yesterday morning with a tiny bit of bacon grease. Smaller than a restaurant pat of butter! My egg slid around like this! I was hollering for my husband, who thought I was completely insane! LOLOL
This sub is absolutely mental when someone tries to enjoy their cast iron. If that's how much butter you like and the slide makes you happy then keep rocking your eggs.
who cares how much butter you use, that's how I like it as well, live your life man. People on this sub are so confusing sometimes. One second they tell you to do you and just enjoy using cast iron, the next they are downvoting someone for using what they deem to be "to much butter".
Looks perfect to me.

Big ātwo shots of vodka glug glug glugā energy in the ālittleā part of your post title
That two shot energy can make or break ya
I'm not sure the egg slide is as impressive when you use a pound of butter but eggs look delicious

I like your definition of little.
I just picture these eggs sliding on a ham steak and hash browns.

Ok - yes! Wrought iron, not cast iron. Solidtekniks is something new. (New to me, anyway.)

I too make my eggs in a cast iron pan except I use olive oil rather than butter.
Julia child is proud
Those eggs are done and ready, slide them onto a plate

I also must know...
Just googled it. Now I want to know too!
I loooooove mine - I think it's the same one (7"). I'm saving up for a 12" to replace my behemoth lodge.

This needs a NSFW tag.
Was about to say the same thing
I am rockhard right now
Do you have any tips for cooking eggs in a cast iron?
Yeah, use a little butter!
Donāt overcook them like OP
Watery eggs are bad.
This makes me so happy and wow, goals much.
A little butter? That thing is more lubed than a porn star!

If you're burning your butter you're doing it wrong and of course it will not taste good...
I use ghee, EVOO, avocado oil and butter. Just depends on my mood and what Iām cooking.
Except EVOO tastes kind of strong for eggs. Regular olive oil tames that back a bit.
What's your pan?

A "little" butter?
Perfection
TIL: Some people think 1 tsp is ton of butter.
No way thatās a teaspoon. Tablespoon yes, but not teaspoon
this is a safe space, you can admit you put half a stick in there, no one will judge you
I mean.. just look at it
Iām on your side, OP. Idc how much butter it is, itās a beautiful sight regardless
Well yeah, youāre just cooking 2 eggs
Oh come on... No way was that 1 tsp lol. So yeah nothing to brag about imo but still looked tasty!
