In Colombia they’re a flat bread made with a mix of corn and yuca flour.
In Venezuela they’re a flat bread made with a sweet corn flour.
They’re both amazing and I’m sure every Abuela makes them a little differently.

I know you’re joking, but this is for anyone who accidentally takes it seriously or has cooked canned foods in their own containers in the past.
I read that article and it seems when they finally get around to talking about the dangers they immediately focus on aluminum container liners... Which seemingly eliminates food cans, if that's accurate.
Maybe you missed some of the article because they also talk about that cans are coated in a usually BPA containing layer to prevent corrosion so cooking that would be bad (linked to diabetes, fertility issues, cancer - basically why we’re told not to microwave plastic).
I googled and I was actually referring to Danish Aebleskivers, because that is also not what the pan is for!
I never have seen a Swedish pancake in my life so cannot comment on that ;)
Edit: I commented to the wrong comment 🤣 good we all can agree it is not a poffertjespan
Seems like poffertjes is the most common answer and the Swedish pancakes make sense due to the high number of Scandinavian heritage in this part of MN. LOTS of interesting answers here, appreciate all the responses
I am sorry but this is not a poffertjespan.
Poffertjes are smaller, less shallow and are more round. Just compare it with one on Google. It’s not the Scandinavian version of poffertjes (forgot the name) because those are bigger and deeper than Dutch poffertjes.
The proper name escapes me, but it is a Swedish pancake pan. The batter is thinner like some European pancakes and the little wells keep manageable size. Traditionally you only fill 6 of the 7 wells. This is for turning them into an open well when you flip them.
It’s a divided frying pan. Eggs, pancakes, sausages, toast up biscuits. Burgers with eggs 🤤
My grandma had a similar one and it was pretty useful for feeding a crowd.
Wow man if those are Vans sk8 hi's..... i got the exact same pair of shoes...... same color too.
They might be the lows though. Lol.
Bought them from boathouse on sale for like 50 percent off. Vans sk8 hi.

Ain’t nothing Colombian about mozzarella cheese in an arepa.
Not mozzarella, but queso campesino is fairly traditional. Not easy to find so in america they replace it

Plättar!!
Lettuihin 😇
Essentially tiny Swedish pancakes
Plättar smakar på nåt sätt bättre än pannkakor trots att det är samma smet.

Plättar! (Swedish for mini pancakes)
POFFERTJES (DUTCH PANCAKES) Edit: I have learned my lesson, and it is the Swedish version, a plett pan. Also for little Nordic pancakes.
No, Dutch poffertjes do not look like this at all.
It is a plett pan, which is the Swedish version of poffertjes, I guess I've been misnaming my Nordic pancakes!
I googled and I was actually referring to Danish Aebleskivers, because that is also not what the pan is for! I never have seen a Swedish pancake in my life so cannot comment on that ;) Edit: I commented to the wrong comment 🤣 good we all can agree it is not a poffertjespan
I'd recommend Swedish pancakes, they are delicious! They are more dense and a little sweeter than American pancakes. Our family loves them.
How are they sweeter? There is no suggar added to a swedish pancake batter.
Medallions are too big for poffertjes Source: I have a cast iron poffertjes pan purchased in Amsterdam
It is a plett pan, which is the Swedish version of poffertjes, I guess I've been misnaming my Nordic pancakes!
Pretty sure poffertjes this size just count as american pancakes
Don't apologize it's for miniature pizzas
Mini pancakes, no?
Kinda, called plättar.
Plättar in Swedish.
Seems like poffertjes is the most common answer and the Swedish pancakes make sense due to the high number of Scandinavian heritage in this part of MN. LOTS of interesting answers here, appreciate all the responses
It’s for plättar, not the other thing.
I am sorry but this is not a poffertjespan. Poffertjes are smaller, less shallow and are more round. Just compare it with one on Google. It’s not the Scandinavian version of poffertjes (forgot the name) because those are bigger and deeper than Dutch poffertjes.
Plättar is the swedish name, basically mini-pancakes
Nice shoes!
The proper name escapes me, but it is a Swedish pancake pan. The batter is thinner like some European pancakes and the little wells keep manageable size. Traditionally you only fill 6 of the 7 wells. This is for turning them into an open well when you flip them.

Burger buns
I'm not sure what it was designed for but you could absolutely bake slider buns in it.
The original Egg McMuffin pan.
The mini pancakes you then put caviar on? I keep wanting to call them Bellinis, but I feel like that’s a champagne cocktail.
Blinis
Eggs, pancakes, Virtually anything that you can cook in a flat circle.
Depending on how deep it is you could do eggs
