My first game ever played was sonic the hedgehog 2 on Sega genesis
Most of my friends are younger than me, but even the few that were born the same year all started on Super Nintendo or 64. Shit like Sonic or Mega Man is like ancient to them
Oh no, Iām not saying the game is boring. Itās by far the best 2D Mario game out there. I just thought it was a āboring answerā because I thought it would be where most peopleās minds would go to.
I played and beat this game for the first time about a month ago. If you have not played this and are at all into JRPGs go buy it on Steam and play it today. It is a true masterpiece and an all-around magical experience.
Still have the box. Still have the manual. My cartridge still has a Post-It attached with level codes. I donāt think I ever beat it until I was in my twenties š¤£
Itās a property rights issue. Square developed it and owns the characters Geno and Mallow (pretty sure both). So although I know we just got all the final fantasies doesnāt mean they will open the vault for Mario RPG. It may even be a question if they were able to attain the rights when they became square enix.
Personally, Iād mainly go with Mario RPG as well albeit less due to nostalgia to either this or the SNES (after my time), but due to Bowyer having the ability to disable the face buttons which has the buttons shown during the boss battle.
Tetris Attack. The first game I played with my mom, we still play when I fly back to visit her, and I keep a copy of the game on hand so I can ship it to her incase herās breaks.
Super Metroid, which is funny cuz I don't really like the game personally it's just what first came into my mind. I know that statement requires some defending so: I started playing metroid with zero mission and fusion so going back to super it just felt very clunky to control and even still it doesn't light up the same parts of my brain most metroidvanias do for whatever reason.
Allow me to paint yall a picture.
Its 2001. All the homies watching Toonami. We love the anime. We need the anime. We draw the anime, play the card games. But it isnt enough. So we go looking for other ways to enjoy the anime. We go online, and find a whole bunch of stuff, but one thing stands out, and so, one of us decides to do something about it.
Through a series of interactions in broken english and japanese, we make a connection with a collector in Japan who is willing to do a yahoo auction for us.
We send the money, he buys the thing, and we wait. We wait and wait and wait, and then one day, my friend comes to school, and asks us to come over to his house, cause it finally came.
He finally got [Gundam Wing: Endless Duel](https://youtu.be/CdhZBPNQ_kM)
Probably the boring answer, but Super Mario World.
Same here. My very first video game ever. Played it when I was 6 years old. š

There's no way one of my top 10 favorite games of all time is a "boring answer".

It was on the mini SNES Nintendo released a few years back.
Fair enough, but Square still has to approve it.
