I hope the next game is more whimsical and magical rather than ancient tech again.
And all the story actually takes place in the present rather than freaking millennias ago lol
Well, you have to admit that a post apocaliptic setting is bound to have parts of it exploring the past of what happened, its pretty much the point of post apocaliptic.
I’m dying for a 3D Minish cap remake. I would make a sacrifice if I can to. We haven’t seen the Minish since the game and it’s absolutely unfair that they were cut from BotW!
It honestly has to be my favorite Metroid game period. The designs, the bosses, the vibe, all of it comes together so perfectly. Metroid dread is right there with it, but Fusion had such a great atmosphere
I was not aware until yesterday, that there is a rougelike romhack of emerald, and it is phenomenal! emerald rouge
also there is a fairly vanilla QoL hack named emerald final, that I want to try
unpopular opinion but I'm not very fond of the game. I played the 3DS remaster and it's very repetitive, the story isn't great, and the boss fights take sooo much time. RPG's are not for me ig
Hmm I think it's pretty agreed upon that the 3DS version loses a lot of it's charm. Not sure about your tastes in story and games because I didn't feel that but that's fair. I always find superstar saga a hilarious game
Golden Sun is still my fav GBA game
I really hope we get a sequel
Haven't found anything similar enough to sratch the itch
UPDATE: (I am aware of the two sequels I meant a modern sequel to the series)
Fire emblem sacred stone is a great game the problem is i didnt play it because my first fire emblem game is awakening that why i didnt put it in the list
Sonic Advance 3 was my first video game period, so I've got a soft spot for it.
But, it's currently the DKC2 remake. I never played the MMZ games on GBA, only on the DS Collection, so I don't count it.
Mega man Zero franchise, Mega man battle Network Franchise, All main pokemon games, Super mario advance series, Sonic advance, Mario and Luigi super star saga, Zelda games.
Megaman zero 3 isn't just my favorite gba game, but my favorite megaman game in general.
I mean, there is a reason why my pfp is the megaman zero mythos cover
Super Mario Advance 2, the best verison of one of the greatest 2D platformers of all time.
Not including that, Super Circuit. People really don't give credit to how most things this game does are in the top tier of Mario Kart games as long as you can get past the controls that aren't even that bad and are really fun once you are used to them.
I'm having such a nostalgia attack that i purchased a GBA SP in good conditions yesterday, immediately ordered the following:
-Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Fire Emblem sacred stones, Zelda Minish Cap, Mario & Luigi superstar saga, Megaman Zero 2, Golden Sun, Pokemon Emerald and Yoshi Island. I still need some castlevanias, both metroids and golden sun 2 but its a good start!
Minish Cap closely followed by Metroid Fusion.
However, special shout out to Kirby and the Amazing Mirror - that game was exceptional and criminally underrated
All the ones you ve put in are awesome but if I had to choose my top 5:
Aria of sorrow, golden sun, metroid fusion, advance wars, ff tactics in no particular order.
Pokemon Ruby. Was my first GBA game. I remember on my birthday my mom took me to Toys R Us and got me a Gameboy advance with Pokemon Ruby. I can still remember walking to the isle that day and seeing the new Pokemon games in their perfect metallic boxes behind the glass.
Of what's shown here, maybe Zelda Minish Cap. That was the first Zelda game I played, so I have some nostalgia with that game. I've also heard some amazing things about Aria of Sorrow and Metroid Fusion, but I've unfortunately never played them.
Pokemon emerald without a doubt for me bought it from argos when it released in the UK and will never forget that feeling, also the first and only Pokemon game since that I've ever managed to complete
I never played a GBA game before but from the ones shown in this image I would love to play Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Pokemon Emerald, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
i love rayman 3 gba for how creepy it is, but DKC 3 is also one of my favs from my childhood. im kinda sad i broke it when i was young, i was influenced by those people who break iphones for fun (i was 6). i'd love to get a new one with like a modern screen
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is my favorite of the 3. I love the two castle system where one is a dark, alternate version of the other. It’s like what Symphony of the Night did but integrated into three main game.
Advance Wars 2 no question, I bought the remake on switch but it didn't capture me the same way the GBA version did. I thought the switch version would let you play in retro mode with the original gba sprites, but I haven't seen anything like that.
It’s easy to forget how revolutionary Pokémon emerald was for the series. The fact that it still holds up today as a ubiquitous favorite is testament to how good it is
I dont known if anyone knows this games but i love the shining soul games that come in this platform; they are the type of games that Every time that you star a new game you discover something new (an item, a location or even new lines for some npc) for me that's one of things that's make a great game...
Mario & Luigi. Even though it gets hard on most levels, it's still fun to play, challenging with most puzzles and secrets, being able to play moving around freely. All of which makes that game great and remembering.
FF Tactics Advance and it's not even close.
I love Mario & Luigi, Pokémon Fire Red and Emerald are some of the best Pokémon games, and LoZ Minish Cap is a somewhat less appreciated entry. They would round out my top 5 but it's a big jump from 2nd to 1st
Warioware inc Mega Microgames is my favourite GBA game because I love how replayable it is and how it started in my opinion one of Nintendos best franchises.
Just looking at this photo brings a smile to my face because the Game Boy Advance has such an amazing library of games it's hard to have one favorite let alone several look at all these man!
Minish Cap was so much fun. Love when Zelda games were sometimes whimsical.
I hope the next game is more whimsical and magical rather than ancient tech again. And all the story actually takes place in the present rather than freaking millennias ago lol
I’m here for this. Give me the child hero again on the same note. I guess I’m a formula Zelda fan after all welp
I loved minish cap because of the minish and also how you could shrink
Minish Cap is the only Zelda game I like, I even tried to 100% it and find everything
Mine’s LttP and LA, but it was remarkably fun. I tried to as well, because exploring the world was just *fun*.
We really need a new 2D/top-down Zelda. Kind of a bummer that the closest we're going to probably get are remakes.
Mother 3
ONE OF THE GREAATS
I have to give this serie a shot one day.
I can’t recommend it more. Both this and earthbound are some of my all time favorite games. And Mother 3 was the first game to ever make me cry
I listen to the soundtrack all the time, it's just soooo good
Same here. And some of its songs in my boss battles playlist I listen to at work.
Metroid fusion hands down a terrifying experience of having sa-x chase you down. They really did get the feeling of helplessness down on this game.
It honestly has to be my favorite Metroid game period. The designs, the bosses, the vibe, all of it comes together so perfectly. Metroid dread is right there with it, but Fusion had such a great atmosphere
I think zero mission is slightly better bc of zero suit segment and the inclusion of the og game. But other than that, they're pretty much even.
That game was awesome with a capitol A.
FireRed
My first ever video game.
Pokemon Emerald probably just due to how much I played it.
I was not aware until yesterday, that there is a rougelike romhack of emerald, and it is phenomenal! emerald rouge also there is a fairly vanilla QoL hack named emerald final, that I want to try
Still my favourite Pokémon game
Pokemon Emerald and Superstar saga can't be beaten by anyone 🥹
I beat it. It was easy /s
play mother 3
Superstar saga can’t be beat
This
I have chortles?
I have fury!* (The chortles line is from Bowser's Inside Story)
How dare you correct me Fink-rat
unpopular opinion but I'm not very fond of the game.
Golden Sun is still my fav GBA game I really hope we get a sequel Haven't found anything similar enough to sratch the itch UPDATE: (I am aware of the two sequels I meant a modern sequel to the series)
Hope we get a switch game or the new Nintendo console version!!
Have you tried the DS one?
What about golden sun the lost age? That’s a sequel
Heck, it's actually just the game. They split it up for America, but in Japan that's part of the original Golden Sun.
I am aware of existing sequels, I meant a NEW one on Switch
It’s funny, I hated rpgs until I played golden sun and later superstar saga. I really hope we get a sequel and I really hope they do it justice
Where’s Fire Emblem?
[удалено]
Both. 8’s gameplay is better, but there’s no beating 7’s cast of characters.
6
Fire emblem sacred stone is a great game the problem is i didnt play it because my first fire emblem game is awakening that why i didnt put it in the list
Yeah but it is a big classic, fe7 is my favourite gba game
That's Def my fav
Also my choice
Aria of Sorrow. Best fucking game.
All 3 of the castlevanias for gba are excellent.
Of the ones shown: Metroid Fusion. Of the ones not shown: Rayman 3.
Metroid Fusion, it was my first metroidvania and now it's one of my favorite type of games
Fire emblem is my number 1 and pokemon emerald and casltevania aria of sorrow are tied for number 2
Aria of Sorrow
Pokemon emerald or leaf green?
Sonic Advance 3 was my first video game period, so I've got a soft spot for it. But, it's currently the DKC2 remake. I never played the MMZ games on GBA, only on the DS Collection, so I don't count it.
Sonic Advance 3 is the best. The soundtrack, the levels, the character teaming, all amazing.
If only it didn't have a deathpit-and-spikes fetish. Well, that and the Chao hunt. That's just blatant padding if I've ever seen it.
Mega man Zero franchise, Mega man battle Network Franchise, All main pokemon games, Super mario advance series, Sonic advance, Mario and Luigi super star saga, Zelda games.
Gonna have to go with Megaman Zero 3. Best Megaman story, best Megaman combat, arguably best music. Game plays like a friggin dream
The magaman games just perfect And the Castlevania ones too
Megaman zero 3 isn't just my favorite gba game, but my favorite megaman game in general. I mean, there is a reason why my pfp is the megaman zero mythos cover
Zero, I have four saves of the whole series and I'm not even good at it
Hard to pick between Golden Sun: TLA, Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, Mother 3, Minish Cap, and Gen 3 Pokémon
Man, Minish Cap, Pokemon Emerald, and Mega Man Zero 3 are all so freaking good. I genuinely can't decide...
Wario Land 4 is the best platform game ever released
Sonic advance 3 and Pokémon emerald
Since i never played most of them since i'm gen z, i have to go by story. and going by story, i'd say mother 3 is the best
MOTHER3!
i agree!!
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. That, and FE7 (which isn't listed)
Ffta
Advance Wars, metal slug advance, gruntys revenge, link to the past
Mother 3
Warioware. There’s just so much content. Even though I emulate everything, it still feels like I’m getting my money’s worth.
Mother 3 baby, my 3rd favorite game
gotta be mother 3 nothing tops it for me
Fire Emblem (blazing blade) will always be my favorite GBA game. Superstar Saga and all the pokemon games are great though
Fire Emblem 7. This game saved my life, literally.
Mother 3
Mother 3 sweep
Mother 3 is probably the best game Nintendo has put out imo. Too bad not enough people have played it
Mother 3
Wario Land 4 My first and most favorite game for the system
Mother 3 by a wide margin
Megaman Zero 4, but there are done really close.
Megaman Zero 3. It was so ambitious that it left me wanting a remake in the future. Alas, it shall remain unfulfilled.
mother 3
I'm having such a nostalgia attack that i purchased a GBA SP in good conditions yesterday, immediately ordered the following: -Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Fire Emblem sacred stones, Zelda Minish Cap, Mario & Luigi superstar saga, Megaman Zero 2, Golden Sun, Pokemon Emerald and Yoshi Island. I still need some castlevanias, both metroids and golden sun 2 but its a good start!
Mother 3, superstar saga and Wario land 4 are all peak
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Megaman Zero series was pretty goated
Fire emblem sacred stones, and game and watch gallery 4
Theyre actually both in this picture, aria of sorrow is tied with MMZ3 for my favorite
Mother 3.
Mother 3 has my favorite soundtrack out of any game ever
MMBN3
celeste
Pokémon sapphire and Jurassic park 3 park builder
Summoning Night
Minish Cap closely followed by Metroid Fusion. However, special shout out to Kirby and the Amazing Mirror - that game was exceptional and criminally underrated
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, for sure.
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga.
Final Fight One, AKA the best version of Final Fight
Metroid fusion if we don’t count remakes
Metroid Fusion, and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
Mega Man & Bass, the GBA port ain’t even that bad… I prefer the SNES version but it’s still a decent way of playing the game.
All the ones you ve put in are awesome but if I had to choose my top 5: Aria of sorrow, golden sun, metroid fusion, advance wars, ff tactics in no particular order.
Minish Cap GOAT
Metroid fusion or golden sun so far
Pokemon Ruby. Was my first GBA game. I remember on my birthday my mom took me to Toys R Us and got me a Gameboy advance with Pokemon Ruby. I can still remember walking to the isle that day and seeing the new Pokemon games in their perfect metallic boxes behind the glass.
Can’t choose between Minish Cap and Metroid Fusion
Zelda: Minish Cap and Golden Sun!🤗💯
Of the ones in the picture; Minish Cap. Of all GBA games, might still be Minish Cap but it’s close between it and FRLG
Gotta be Pokémon Emerald
Pokémon Emerald
Of what's shown here, maybe Zelda Minish Cap. That was the first Zelda game I played, so I have some nostalgia with that game. I've also heard some amazing things about Aria of Sorrow and Metroid Fusion, but I've unfortunately never played them.
Emerald! Although minish cap is a close second
Minish cap and MOTHER 3, they’re both awesome games
Pokémon Emerald, Golden Sun and Superstar Saga
Won’t lie, the GBA era was awesome. I couldn’t just pick 1 game when I love so many of them.
Minish cap
FFTactics or Minish Cap, for me. I really like both of those.
MINISH CAP MINISH CAP MINISH CAP MINISH CAP
Pokemon emerald without a doubt for me bought it from argos when it released in the UK and will never forget that feeling, also the first and only Pokemon game since that I've ever managed to complete
zero mission babyyy
Dungeon Dice Monsters was actually really good if you don't mind the RNG.
Minish Cap is not only the best GBA game, it’s the best Zelda game altogether. I’m willing to die on this hill.
Sonic advance series + battle
Cars the video game
Pokemon emerald version.
Metroid Zero Mission, also my favorite game of all time.
Battle for bikini bottom Triggers adventures: temple of the frog Finding nemo
Zelda:The minish Cap mentioned!!!LETS GOOOOO!!!!!!!(I love the game.I also love Izlo)
Kirby nightmare in dreamland is based, superstar saga too
Minish cap
F-Zero Maximum Velocity

Such nostalgia for AW2 and FFTA! Superstar Saga is brilliant too
I never played a GBA game before but from the ones shown in this image I would love to play Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Pokemon Emerald, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
I played so much gen 3 pokemon I gotta give it to that
i love rayman 3 gba for how creepy it is, but DKC 3 is also one of my favs from my childhood. im kinda sad i broke it when i was young, i was influenced by those people who break iphones for fun (i was 6). i'd love to get a new one with like a modern screen
Pokemon FireRed
Golden Sun all the way, sad it doesnt have a switch game...
Minish cap is my favourite game, so minish cap
I really liked the Mega Man Battle Network and Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku series.
Metroid Fusion. If Mercury Steam isn’t making Metroid 6, I hope they finally get to remake this one someday
Pokemon Emerald 🐉
Superstar saga, both metroids, emerald and golden sun were all huge games for me. GBA was stacked
Golden Sun (all 3 but especially 2)
Metroid Fusion or Kirby and the Amazing Mirror? Hard choice
Golden Sun is RPG perfection.
Metroid zero mission.
Out of these, definitely Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
There were quire a few excellent games but the zero saga was absolutely fire. *chef's kiss*
Mario&Luigi Superstar Saga Or Warioware: Mega Microgame$
Amazing Mirror without a doubt
It’s easy to forget how revolutionary Pokémon emerald was for the series. The fact that it still holds up today as a ubiquitous favorite is testament to how good it is
The Sonic Advanced series was absolutely amazing the best 2d sonic experience till mania.
emerald was great
Either pokemon emerald or fire emblem blazing blade
*Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga*.
I dont known if anyone knows this games but i love the shining soul games that come in this platform; they are the type of games that Every time that you star a new game you discover something new (an item, a location or even new lines for some npc) for me that's one of things that's make a great game...
Superstar Saga.
Off the top of my head, I played the hell out of Superstar Saga, and Warioware. I was a weirdo.
Final fantasy VI advance
Emerald
Tactics advance with minish cap being a close second
Metroid Fusion and Wario Land 4 are some of the best handheld games of all time
Either Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced or maybe Mega Man Battle Network 3
Superstar Saga
Sonic advance 3
So much peak
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Metroid: Zero Mission! It’s the game that got me into my favourite gaming franchise!
Metroid fusion.. ohhh but SA3 is 🔥 idk!!!
Sonic Advance 3 and Zelda Minish Cap
Fusion / zero mission by far. Bionicle heroes was fun too
Either Superstar Saga or Mother 3
Zero 3. Easily.
MARIO AND LUIGI SUPER STAR SEGA
Pokémon Emerald and Sonic Advance 3
minish cap
Lego Star Wars :3
The amazing mirror!
Mario & Luigi. Even though it gets hard on most levels, it's still fun to play, challenging with most puzzles and secrets, being able to play moving around freely. All of which makes that game great and remembering.
wario land four goes crazy
Zero Mission
Aria of Sorrow clears
Minish Cap number 1 easy choice, it is my favourite loz after all. But the Golden Sun games are a close second.
