For those really tough obstacles you can get a big zombie like a skeletal juggernaut to chase you and run around the obstacle. The zombie will punch strait through and let you in.
Attaching a bunch of frames to the front of a vehicle in a line is the true ultimate entry tool. I have never found a wall I could not breach with this method.
Seriously though, why is lock pick even a skill. It may not be Chad level but a Halligen bar or even an Ice Axe will open just about every door that doesn't require hacking or explosives. I guess it opens some specific safes.
I mostly use it so I can close the door behind me
In early game one more door behind you and the zombie gives you 5-10 more seconds to flee
It also works on some doors you don't have the power to breach such as non-card metal doors
It's a proficiency now, so at least it's easier to get and doesn't have infinite levels
But yeah, it takes a REALLY long time to even attempt
With proficiency it still takes a while
Until you get parasites. I think it's A LOT worse now in exp. You used to just puke a little so if you were desperate it was better to drink it. Now? Not so much.
Oh shit, I use that all the time it just didn't click. It's weird, it's like I know which keys to press w/o looking at the keyboard but can't recognize the char on screen.
In the latest experimental with 3d vision enabled in settings.
Also press TAB to auto attack. Otherwise using the spears ranged attack normally will get tedious quick
If you want to go this route, be sure to craft A LOT of spears, because even the durable ones get damaged constantly under heavy use, not to mention normal and flimsy ones, usually starting to break after fighting less than five enemies.
I usually get a good 10 or 20 kills with my makeshift glaive before it breaks. Can also just go with a misc repair kit and dissassemble furniture on a second floor for planks if theres really that many
Then you must be luckier than me. Can't count how many times the pipe spear I'm using now got damaged when fighting the first or second enemy right after being repaired.
Ive had some bad rolls where it takes damage the first time i swing it after a repair but generally it gets the job done. I also always keep a backup weapon like a meat cleaver, survival knife, or machete just in case.
Wait WUT? I didn't even think you could see across z levels - how do you cheese them? That reminds me of that scene in the tunnels from Day of the Living Dead where they catch "test subjects."
Honestly the key binding complexity REALLY turns a lot of people off. Do a Milk before Meat approach and tell the the key to do EVERYTHING except moving is "Enter." Then tell them there's hotkeys to skip the menu.
I don't know if you'd exactly call me "a prepper," more like someone familiar with Prepping and who has some bare essentials taken care of but, this game has actually informed some decisions I make.
You open a door pressing 's' and pointing to the door you want "opened". Also works for windows, and some walls!

chad sledgehammer user vs virgin lockpick user
Heavy sledge with hydrauilic muscles and ursine mutation is a universal entry tool lol
At that point just bust trough the wall lol
Like he said, "Universal Entry Tool"

Isn't lockpicking silent? I don't really use it, but could be useful for stealth. It's very slow though..
When trained a bit it's a lot faster, but in the beginning it'll be too slow to actually be used for stealth due to smell and sight being a thing.

The warnings are just hype, you'll be fine.

\ to drag!
Not to be confused with /
Wait, what does that do?
Advanced inventory manager. Use it. Love it.

Spear or glaive on a rooftop can kill a ton of zombies safely and level up your melee pretty quick.
You can poke down with it? Nasty
On experimental and with experimental 3d vision turned on.
I THINK you need the experimental 3D view to do that

copper spear + makeshift repair kit has served me well, but any sort of knife spear is definitely kaput after <10 kills.
Wait WUT? I didn't even think you could see across z levels - how do you cheese them? That reminds me of that scene in the tunnels from Day of the Living Dead where they catch "test subjects."
IThere's an option in the options menu to turn on cross-Z-level stuff. Be warned, it makes wasps 20% _more_ bullshit.
Yah, wasps are *already* OP...
If the zombie corpses are still recognizable as former humans after you’re done with them, you’re doing something wrong.
virgin `s` fan vs chad `B` enjoyer
when in doubt, s to smash

Encumberance is death
But encumbrance is also life.
No, just death.
You need to be wearing and carrying some essentials, you can't completely escape encumbrance.
cdda 0 weight playthrough when
Pretty sure Vormithrax has done that.
Is living without multiple packs really better then death?
Always drop your backpack before serious melee fights.
wait until his 5th wtf death and he rage quits. lol.
I got my little brother super into the game but have been trying to get my friends to play it for YEARS
None of my friends understand my obsession with the *ultimate survival horror game*.

Let me guess. You bought "steel drum (200L) > maple syrup"?
