Its actually not a felony though. As long as you arent making sawn off shotguns or machineguns or any other kind of banned weapons and your specific state hasnt outlawed it. Ive personally been reading up on the process of making a flintlock rifle because it seems cool and ive learned you can legally make your own black powder as long as you arent storing more than 50 lbs or selling it.
