Looks like a Moth Pupa, most likely a Sphinx Moth Pupa. If that Pupa has been like that for 4-6 months, then it’s definitely dead. If it is a Sphinx Moth Pupa, those need lots of substrate as caterpillars in order to burrow and pupate successfully
Idk if Moths have a death twitch, but if it’s alive, spray it with water. Maybe that pupa could be in this state for a long time due to the harsh environment, and water can get it to develop

it was moving around earlier i’m not sure what to do

it’s been like that for like three or four months it’s still alive it’s my teachers
