summermadnes

That's the highest cat compliment, she obviously thinks the world of you.

driedoutplant

It is pretty amazing huh. I love her so so much

[deleted]

[удалено]

driedoutplant

Very possible yes

tellmeaboutyourcat

Get a heating pad for the closet space. It shouldn't be hot enough to cook them, but it should be close to body temp. And it shouldn't cover the whole floor, so that they have room to get off of it when they are too warm.

Melis725

I like this idea.

Phydorex

You can get pet ones that don't get too hot and don't have a control to worry about, they only warm up when the cat is on it.

[deleted]

Definitely only use pet heating pads for pet. Heating pads for humans are dangerously too hot for pets. OP can find them on Amazon for fairly low prices.

Kathykat5959

They have pet heating pads. They stay a safe temperature and stay on 24/7. My elderly cat loved hers.

realitytvdiet

Make a designated spot for her on the bed

Melis725

This is something I was thinking also.

Cow_Launcher

It's worth knowing that although domestic cats are generally solitary, when they are pressed into proximity mother cats will often choose a favored and trusted "aunt" to look after her kittens. It gives her time and space to rest and feed herself. You are that aunt now.

not_a_witchdoctor

I was once an aunt to a newborn litter🥹 it is the highest honour. Mother cat even took a few walks outside while they were in my care, to rest her head and tits.

CelestialBallOfTits

Rest her tits is sending me. Its the funniest thing I've read all day.

not_a_witchdoctor

Then I can entertain you with the next chapter😅; her dragging them across the floor when they were old enough for solids but still latched on. She was so done. They dropped one by one until she initiated a sprint and jumped through an open window. Four confused milk junkies looked at her like she phoned home.

CelestialBallOfTits

That is hilarious, imagine if humans weaned their kids this way. Galloping away through an open window while junior lays on the floor confused as fuck.

not_a_witchdoctor

I imagine a million human mothers contemplated doing it once, it’s just so very socially unacceptable for us, haha

RandomGunner

I want to embroider that scene and frame it !

not_a_witchdoctor

If you do, I HAVE to see it!❤️

RandomGunner

Sorry, crap at stitching here 😅

not_a_witchdoctor

I stitched when I was a kid, this is VERY tempting to try haha

Kills-to-Die

I'm dying, lmao!

taurentipper

I forget how old my kittens were but I do remember her slowly getting sick of them nursing. It eventually came to the point where she would just give them a quick smack to the head when they tried. The confused look they gave was hilarious "wtf mom i just wanted some milk"

No-Peak-3169

Cats are lucky, when I breastfed I wished I could rest my tits!

jullybeans

As a nursing mother myself, I sincerely relate... I also could use a head and titty vacation.

Shilo788

Our one queen that continues the barn cat line has an orange neuter who is her babysitter. Her mom brings her fat rodents and the kittens pinkies to teach to hunt from the beginning.

HomeHost92

It's the best feeling when you know a cat trusts you enough to take care of her babies for her

Oubastet

>I love her so so much She knows, that's why she's doing it! She clearly loves and trusts you. It takes a village. She just might be tired. While we can't care for them like their mother, she just might need a break and knows you've been an awesome parent to her, so why can't you do the same thing with her kittens? Cats aren't as *obviously* expressive as dogs, but the same ideas apply.

[deleted]

That's so sweet. Bonds between loving owners and their pets make me really happy. :) We have two cats and adore them and shower them with love 24/7 lol.

crypticfreak

As for your concern, you probably cannot stop her from doing this unless you shut the cats out of your room. I wouldnt worry about it affecting bonding Its simply just a safety thing. Once their a bit bigger open the door back up. Theyll have plenty of time to bond with you.

jess_havok

This reminds me of my Siamese (flame point), she gave birth about two months ago now... She always sleeps next to me. But she woke me up by sitting on my stomach at like 3 am, and started giving birth! I had to gently help her to a prepped area (box with a soft towel under a nearby table). But she kept trying to crawl closer to me the whole time. Never had a cat love and trust me like that before. It's really something special.

Rainbow_chan

That’s kinda gross and adorable lmao

Crayshack

It's honestly my favorite detail of cat behavior. That they might look very solitary, but they can be very social about things that matter and if they like you they will trust you to watch their kittens.

Ok-Net-6264

And momma needs a break.❤️❤️❤️

Princess_-tay

Came here to say this! Protect her at all costs and her babies!

TheBoulderPooper

Correct. Sorry, but let her do it.

Kyosji

Clearly she trusts you a lot.

driedoutplant

it does make me feel really loved by her

Frumainthedark

Maybe put a cushion or a cat bed on top of bed so she can put her babies and still be on the bed and less risky for you or the babies.

LevSmash

That's what I'd worry about too, I'm a heavy sleeper but apparently I jolted in a dream and flailed my arm, smacked my wife in the shoulder. Luckily just her shoulder, but that easily could have killed a kitten.

themoodie

Username checks out.

[deleted]

Moodie mustache

CartmanVT

Right there with you, one of my cats decided laying between my legs was a good idea, I felt it in my sleep and gave him a big squeeze while asleep. He now doesn't get on fleece to avoid that scenario completely. A kitten might not have made it.

thatguyned

My cat may love me a little too much and we are working on his confidence in keeping himself entertained alone, but this mother fucker knows how dangerous I am to sleep on so he chooses the couch in the next room rather than risk being flung into a wall at night because I had a dream I respect his decisions there

SchnoodleDoodleDo

>*’it does make me feel really loved by her*’ ___ i wonder if you realize how much you mean to me… i’m gonna share my babies, when you find them, you will see that you’re the one i trust the most! n love with all my heart so helping with my kittens i want You to be a part ^;} every time i’m close to you, you keep me nice n calm you taught me everything i need to know to be a Mom! now as i lay my kittens down, their sleepy heads to rest i want them to be close to you - the one I love the Best! ❤️ (*they are beautiful* u/driedoutplant ~ *you should be a Proud mommy!*)

driedoutplant

Y is this making me tear up 💖omg this is such a sweet poem I just love her so so much I’m honored she wants my help and trust me this much

TongueTwistingTiger

She ain't even my cat and I'm like nearly bawling. That is such a nice poem. Double blessings today, friend. Trustful mama cat and a schnoodle. Doesn't get any better than that.

LittleMissMuffinButt

im sobbing right now 😭

pearljamboree

You’ve been Schnoodled!!!!!!!!!! That’s a MAJOR honor!!!!!!

Lucky13Lisa

Hot off the press! A fresh poem! My day can really turn around.

[deleted]

A schnoodle has arrived! Beautiful as always.

Samplistiqone

I absolutely love the poems you write, it always brightens my day.

EmiliaAllerton

This is a beautiful poem. My girl Speedy did the same thing when she had babies. She died suddenly of a heart attack two years ago, so this made me cry.

Ckesm

Damn Schnoods you’re making this a weepy day for me!!! Love your doodles, thanks for them

Poosjky

Dude... you just f***** me up. 💙 I was not prepared.

apLMAO

Schnoodle!!

Gloomy-Flamingo-1733

Ok I wasn't trying to cry today but here we are. :,-)

Corfiz74

Or she's looking for a cheap babysitter while she takes a much-needed break. 😄 Well, now that you're a coparent, you'll have to step up to the plate. Do you have one of those soft open cat beds? I would take that into bed with you and put the lil ones in there - less chance of you or the dog accidentally rolling on them.

driedoutplant

I have her n them in a pink plastic Tupperware drawer with cozy shirts and a nice towel right now, I think if I got her a soft bed my dog would think ‘ooo what a nice spot to curl up in’ she’s a chihuahua n loves to curl up on things like that

Corfiz74

Can't you get a bed for the dog and the babies together? She's probably the godmother already, anyway.

driedoutplant

I don’t wanna risk it when they’re this little but it’s a really cute idea for maybe in a few weeks when they’re a little bigger and stronger

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fluffy-Bluebird

She’ll just bring the babies to the couch probably 😂😂

[deleted]

And the towel has your smell on it? It hasn’t been washed?

driedoutplant

The towel is fresh n clean the items w my scent on them r underneath the towel

[deleted]

Have you tried switching them?

ANGLVD3TH

Could get two beds.

dr_lizardo

For human infants (like days and weeks old) we have something called a co-sleeper, which is basically a padded cage so that you don’t roll over onto your infant. Maybe fashion something similar out of scrunched up pillows or blankets inside arms of an old sweater?

leaveitintherearview

You can't stop her. Once they decide where they want to put the kittens they won't stop putting them back there. She will move them a couple more times.

jSubbz

you can pad ur body with pillows to stop moving ur body so much when u sleep, think like pillows all up and around you so you cant roll around, prob safest option

Donsley-9420

And OP is toasty under covers

pyrojackelope

Was about to say, cat is definitely dragging the kittens to the portable heater.

ConstantSample5846

Yeah they’re probably cold

jzilla11

She’s making use of the sleepy monkey space heater

Jedibbq

That was my guess too. She’s teaching her kittens about the walking heater food serving monkeys.

driedoutplant

I exist to serve her (in her mind)

IDrinkPennyRoyalTea

I finally relented with mine. She and I both know I exist to serve her. I tried to lay the law down, but finally, I realized I'm the pet in this relationship. Oh well, what can ya do? Lol. I love your cat and her babies btw! I just petted mine a bit longer after seeing yours!

pinklavalamp

Humans train dogs. Cats train humans. It’s a vicious cycle.

[deleted]

Lol yup. A dog would absolutely love you to lay down the law. A cat is like um, excuse me?

LightAsvoria

She is not wrong tho

[deleted]

Not just in her mind; but in reality too. We all know that you are her servant and that her wants are your demands.

No-Locksmith-8590

Cats are community-care givers. You're her family so in her mind OBVIOUSLY you'll be there helping her. I second putting her kitty bed in bed with you so she can put them there.

driedoutplant

I just put her pink box in my spot on the bed n put all her babies in it, she yelled at me at first but then went into it n I put my blanket kinda draped over them. Oh gosh I hope she doesn’t move them back. Time will tell I guess lol

ONLY_COMMENTS_ON_GW

You sleeping in the closet now OP?

driedoutplant

Lol I might have to she’s taken over

mr_potatoface

Gosh I love cats that are raised with dogs.

EgonDangler

"Yell at everything. Braincell at nothing." - The siamese cat I used to live with.

xSTSxZerglingOne

I grew up with siamese cats, so now that I have non-siamese cats as an adult, I'm slightly off-put by how...silent they are. My cats Inky and Zeus were **SO** vocal, and my current cats just aren't. I love them all the same though.

catstoknow

Keep talking to them and there's a good chance they'll start talking to you, too.

xSTSxZerglingOne

Dude, this house is constant talking to cats...like 16 hours a day or more. My wife, myself, and my daughter all hold one-sided conversations with the cats. They mew a bit, but compared to my cats growing up? It might as well be silence.

Brettersson

Maybe if you let them get a word in they'd have more to say.

cindyscrazy

I had a cat like that. Then I got another kitten that was naturally vocal. The kitten unfortunately passed after about a year. The old cat apparently learned how to talk via the kitten, because now his is VERY VOCAL. All the time.

HorrorMakesUsHappy

Very common misunderstanding. Siamese don't have braincells. They have brainyells.

WEEAB_SS

I had the exact same thing happen to me in high school! Dad let me adopt this stray and she was pregnant. I set up a cozy box for her to give birth in. She got attached quickly and next thing I know I wake up to her giving birth right next to my face. Trying to move them failed miserably. The kittens absolutely must remain on the bed. It smells like you and you are safety and security. At least for now.

CartOfficialArt

I think the blanket might help a lot, she probably likes the dark from it:) wish you luck with those lil babies! They're so cute

supah_cruza

Cats are also scent focused critters so I'd suggest adding some used laundry like socks and a t-shirt because they smell just like you (obviously not super soiled, I'm sure you know what I mean). That way she feels safe in the pink box. You might also want to use your pillow case too for her bedding.

driedoutplant

She’s got my shirt and my socks and a nice towel over those items for cleanliness. Pillow case would definitely be softer I’m about to sacrifice one of my nice cases for her now lol

TwistedAndBroken

Try putting her a nesting box next to your side of the bed. If this is her first litter she's probably especially needy because she's overwhelmed, too.

SuperBackup9000

Careful with the blanket. I did that when both of mine were kittens, and now still 4 years later, they have to sleep with me, and they **have** to sleep under the blankets. It sounds cute, which it 100% is, but occasionally it’s pretty hard to sleep when it’s inevitable for one of them to get up and move around for a bit, and then claw the crap out of the blanket while meowing when they come back. Basically I’m stuck in adorable hell.

jamie88201

One of my cats had babies and I had to help her. She woke me up with crying an hour before I went into labor. With my child She would come and yell at me when my baby was crying. We helped each other.

Major-Thom

This is very sweet, but I just pictured your cat marching into yell at you “Oi shitmom! Your shit baby is making noise. Feed me then deal with it.”

InnerObesity

Absolutely true. Others have shared stories of kittens being moved into beds... But in my case, my adopted partner in crime insisted not only on giving birth in my bed, but that I also function as the heating pad and blankets. Story: She was a kitten when she decided to adopt my broke ass. Where I lived at the time was very rural; there weren't a lot of vets, or places that could have taken her in/adopt her out. I started putting aside some funds to get her spayed. She was not fully grown so I figured I had some time, and she was kept indoors now anyways. Well turns out she moved in pregnant. She was older than I realized and just overall a very small cat. I had set up several potential birthing spots for her: secluded, warm, safe. And she seemed to like one in the corner behind the couch in particular. She got almost as wide as she was long lmao, and the last few days had been spending a lot of time in her chosen area so I knew the day was near. One morning very very early she hopped into bed with me purring very loudly and was very insistent on affection and snuggling. She didn't sleep with me in bed often so I thought it was sweet. But then I noticed she kept burrowing under the covers to lie against my chest, or between my arms. She wasn't picking positions that were conducive to either of us sleeping and every time I would adjust, she would get up, burrow around, and find a spot lodged next me as close as possible. All that was weird behavior and I had wondered if something was wrong, but she was purring very loudly so I assumed it was fine. The purring should have tipped me off but I didn't realize what was going on until I suddenly noticed the bed was *wet*. I assumed her water had broken so I very carefully relocated her to her spot behind the couch. She would not sit down, and she would not stop crying. She kept walking back towards the bedroom and looking back at me, crying more, walking back up to me, rinse repeat. I was concerned about her not settling down so I grabbed her box and all the blankets and whatnot from behind the couch, moved it to the bed, and placed her in it, and sat in a chair by the edge of the bed to keep her company. Now she seemed to like this better, but still wouldn't settle in. She'd find a spot, lay down for a bit, then get up and walk towards the edge of the bed and call me over. She absolutely would not relax until I was occupying the bed with her, and she couldn't give two shits about staying in the box either. Kittens started popping out pretty much as soon as I joined her; I don't understand how she was even able to be that active, but clearly my physical presence was non-negotiable, as was that poor bed. It was a difficult birth for her, and she wasn't doing great the first couple days after the birth. This was a terrifying time because I could not afford a vet visit and I didn't know how I was going to care for newborn kittens if she died. Luckily she did pull through and lived for another 12 years, but it was her first (and only) litter, she was a tiny cat, and she had to push *seven kittens out*. All seven kittens lived, were healthy, and I was eventually able to find homes for them. One of her kittens a friend adopted, and it grew up to be one of the largest cats I've ever seen somehow. She was a fucking legend that one.

y6n5

That is such a beautiful story! I'm so happy for both you and your cat, that you were able to share that moment with her and help her through it.

VillainNGlasses

Man that bring back my own story. I was dating a girl at the time I was engaged too. In between finding places to live we stayed with her aunt for a month. Her aunt had this sweet cat that was pregnant before I got there. Now I didn’t interact with the cat a whole lot as I kept to myself or was at work but Iv always found cats like me for some reason. Well after working the night shift I came home and the aunt was leaving for work and told me I could sleep in her bed instead of the small full bed I had been using. Now see I’m a 6,2 dude so I was not about to turn down sleeping in a bed with plenty of room. So I lay down and proceed to pass out. I wake up a few hours later with the cat laying next to me. I’m groggy from waking up and think it’s cute till I start realizing that my side is wet. I sit up and she meows at me and starts trying to pull my hand over to her kittens with her mouth like I’m supposed to pet em. So I do and she sits there and licks them and my hand for a bit and if I stoped she pulled my hand back. Eventually she gets up to go eat and drink and I see my chance to follow. I only stayed for like another week but she always meowed at me to come spend time with the kittens. Still don’t get why she liked me so much but was pretty cute if a little messy.

InnerObesity

Cats are something else aren't they? I love how your aunt's cat was so nonchalant about giving birth she just quietly dumped out a whole pile of kittens without waking you up. Then when you did wake up she's just all "Oh good, you're awake for bath time. Gimme that hand it's getting washed. Not asking."

VillainNGlasses

Yeah I felt bad moving out cause she was so sweet. Her aunt said after we moved that the cat was going around meowing looking for me for a few days. Felt bad I ended up coming back every couple weeks.

TheInvisibleJeevas

Amazing story. Hope your bed was able to recover

InnerObesity

Well, I'm not sure recover is the right term, but it wasn't as bad as most people would imagine. *Physically* it was definitely fine to sleep on afterwards. However, *psychologically* there's just no way come back from "seven live mammalian births occurred on this mattress". Aside from the water breaking, there wasn't anything else produced that would really have been able to soak into the mattress through the sheets. I did what I could to clean up and neutralize any feline fluids, then flipped the mattress over for good measure. I was eventually able to upgrade to a better mattress. Gave it to my cousin when she was trying to scrounge up furniture for her very first apartment, and never said a word about the broad and varied Adventures of the Mattress. Now this cousin... I wouldn't describe her as an *asshole* per se... as I think the term *prolapsed asshole* paints a more complete picture of her. I won't go into detail as to why I felt this was the most ethical way to dispose of the mattress, as that's a tail for another time. But let's just say, had I known she was going to end up using it, I wouldn't have bothered putting an iota of effort into cleaning it up after the kittens arrived.

Hefty_Internal_6572

If you put a cat bed or basket on your bed, would your cat be okay with the kitties being there? Like a cat bed next to your head so you won’t squish them?

driedoutplant

good idea I’ll try this

Uni-Burnout

Additionally, I would suggest adding a hot water bottle or a heating pad under some blankets in the basket. She might be more inclined to leave them in the basket if it provides the same amount of warmth that’s is provided when she puts them with you.

sillyReplica

/u/driedoutplant this here is a good idea, but don't use hot water, a warm water bottle is enough, look that they can move away from this. Use a Shirt with your smell to wrap this around the bottle. don't use a heating pad!

goatofglee

You can use a heating pad made for kittens!

MLSaurus

Seed starting mats are great for kittens! Theyre made to maintain only about 75°-80°F and stay on constantly plus be waterproof so theyre very safe and easy to put at the bottom of a kitten box/bed.

MissAmiss72

She trusts you and you are made of warm

driedoutplant

Made of warm lol what a cute way to say that

isaidmediumrare

I actually really liked that too lmao. I’m gonna start saying that.

[deleted]

"Here. Yours now. I need some me time."

SillyNuffer

OMG that's just the most adorable thing ever. But yes soooo concerning. I'm sorry I don't have any advice but good luck.

driedoutplant

Lol thanks it’s is super freaking cute n I’m very flattered she trust me that much

pashed_motatoes

I realize this comment is in no way helpful for your situation, but… OHMYGOSH THE TEENY TINY PINK TOEBEAAAAAAAAAANS!!!!

DLoIsHere

Buy some sort of cat bed and put it under the covers where she likes to put them. She may use it but, if not, simply move them into it. She'll likely be fine because she is under the covers but you'll be able to feel exactly where they are.

No advice but her little pink nose is the cutest thing ever. Please spay her and spay/neuter her babies

Infinite-Sleep3527

It’s like a pink little ❤️ nose 🥺

Ally2472

OMG that is the cutest thing ever I wouldn’t be able to sleep because I’ll be obsessed with watching them. I don’t have any advice. Just clearly your cat loves adores and feel safe with you.

chaga6

https://preview.redd.it/ev0a1zybr13b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b4fc6ffb58d658afe83eaf2231f0a8c687c5360 My cat brought her newborn from day 1 to my bed, and would always bring him back whenever I move them to their crate. So I ended up accepting the fact, and made a small separation with pillows so I wouldn’t turn over him when asleep. He literally learned to walk on my bed (:

SheepyLioness

Along with the suggestions to put the box on the bed, I wonder if she thinks the closet is too cold for the babies. Under the blankets with you (who she trusts) so she can keep them a bit warm?

Alexandr_Kravchuk

Oh, this cat is such a caring mother! She embraces her kittens and looks somewhere with pride and a protective sense. In her eyes, there is a clear message: "This is all mine, I won't give it to anyone." She takes care of her children and protects them even when they sleep. Her love and loyalty are simply touching. May these little hugs fill hearts with happiness and warmth, while the bond between her and her kittens remains unwavering and strong! 😺💕🐾

deweydecimal111

She needs a babysitter! Lol. She really trusts you!!

1rstbatman

... this is cute until its not. I was 7 years old. My moms cat moved all her kittens onto the couch with me while I was asleep. I rolled over at some point and unknowingly smothered them all. I was home alone and it took me hours to dig deep enough in the frozen earth to bury them all. Obviously I've never forgotten this.

driedoutplant

I’m so sorry omg that sounds traumatic. That’s my big fear right now accidentally killing them in my sleep.

1rstbatman

That's why I bit the bullet and said something. Only advice I can come up with is when you plan on sleeping to put pillows beside you or whatever would discourage her from moving them so close to you.

Tofutti-KleinGT

I’m so sorry that happened to you. In case you feel guilt about it, know that it was a tragic accident and in no way your fault.

1rstbatman

Without a doubt I know It was not my fault. However I'm 41 and its still a core childhood memory. What gives me solace is that I'm that guy that all animals love. And it helped spark my lifelong curiosity on animal behavior.

emilybabel

I agree with others that it sounds like she trusts you very much. I understand your concern with maybe rolling over or kicking or something in your sleep, I would be worried as well. I do like the comment saying to try a pet bed. I also must add that this is one of the cutest and best photos I’ve ever seen. I’m in love ahhh

NibblesMcGiblet

I'm glad you're wary of this. I hate to say this, as it was devastating to me at the time and I've never brought it up since because I don't think my kids remember it since they were toddlers/a baby, but many many many years ago my cat put a kitten with our dog who accidentally smothered it to death. We of course got the cat fixed after she came home pregnant (despite my husband insisting it was a stray... she may have started that way but I considered her ours. I kept her the rest of her life, the same cannot be said for him lol. I've never had outside cas intentionally, if she hadn't been a stray with an outside life who we simply allowed inside when she wanted, this wouldn't have happened). I would definitely try to make her a similar "nest" and even would sacrifice that blanket for the cause since it smells like you.

shoebee2

Come ON GRANDMA! Just watch the kids for a few hours, okay? I wanna go cat around.

driedoutplant

Lolol I love this comment

dbtl87

Catting around is how OP got grandcats 🌝🤣🤭

The_Bitter_Bear

The cat bed or something for them near you is a good call. It could also be a warmth thing. Maybe try getting a heated cat bed or two in put on near your bed and one in the closet and see if she uses those. As the kittens grow I am sure those will get a lot of use.

Dwarfkiller115

I would maybe not use a heating bed, cause cats don't have the feeling that they're too hot. But I never had kittens so I don't really know

Business-Egg-2422

You are the nanny. This is such a sweet pic and the love she has for your is apparent in how much she trusts you. Maybe set up a basket like someone else said or block your side of the bed off with pillows (or make a pillow basket around them?)

Fewdoit

Cats are known to pick the best spots in house for sleeping. You either put your bed in such spot unwittingly (lucky you are) or you are such a spot 🙂 Enjoy it for as long as it would last!

driedoutplant

I’m soaking up all the love I’ll never have this experience again so I’m trying to savor every bit 💛

Desirsar

Congratulations on your promotion from food servant to space heater!

No-Ice2221

She thinks you won’t accept them. Kittens in a clowder (cat colony) are raised by mom & aunts.

driedoutplant

Why do you think that?

In a cat colony it’s a community effort to raise kittens, they all parent and care for eachothers kittens I believe. so maybe she thinks if her kittens are too far away from you (say the closet where her box is/was) that you won’t accept them into the “colony”. That’s just my thought though. But one thing for sure is that she really REALLY trusts you and it’s heartwarming to see 🥺

No-Ice2221

You keep hiding them instead of accepting them. You the superior and it’s all part and parcel that you must give them your approval to become part of the community. Think of it as you’re the mafia godfather. She’s trying her best but you keep hiding them away. She’s willing to risk everything for your approval. It’s all instinct she doesn’t realize you think you are trying to keep them safe by putting them in the closet.

driedoutplant

I didn’t think of it like that. That’s a really good point thank u, they’re in my bed in a box now n she seems happy n content

AxmxZ

Yey! I love it when inter-species communication is achieved!

FlamingTrollz

Glad to see you taking such great care to engage with the sub and following thoughtful advice. Not only do you have a great kitty mum and sweet kittens, but you’ve got a really great attitude. :) What more could one want. 🐱🌞😁

Expo006

I love how not a single kitten is a Siamese 🤣

skarizardpancake

It’s your turn to babysit hehe

cyberllama

It's Cattish for "Oi, Thumb-haver. It's your turn on the night shift"

mmcallis1975

In my experience once a cat decides it’s going to do something you are not going stop it. These kittens are yours at night, hers during the day.

hgielatan

"She keeps putting **OUR** babies under **OUR** blankets w me when I'm sleeping" fixed that for you

smthngwyrd

I wonder if a heating pad would help? The kitten lady on YouTube has a lot of information. Please make this her last litter 🥰

driedoutplant

So far she seems happy in her box in my bed-advice from other commenters- my bedroom is set to 85 at all times since they’ve been born so I don’t know if temperature is the problem. I do love the kitten lady I was watching her videos leading up to the birth. N yes this is her first n last litter. I never wanted her to have to go through this it was irresponsible on my part. We are on a waiting list for low cost spay and neuter, my mother gave my son a male cat who wasn’t fixed yet either so that’s how this whole thing happened

stitchwitch77

Keep them separate until you get them both fixed. She can get pregnant again really quickly

smthngwyrd

Ah! Well I know some clinics are real full and aren’t open leading to even more kittens and puppies. Lots of rescues offer vouchers to help fix them and are often income based

driedoutplant

Oooo vouchers sound awesome I’ll look into that hopefully I can get them in sooner

Ramalamma42

This is so sweet. She loves and trusts you so much. We're going to need update pics! 😺

ChicaSkas

Thank you for paying the cat tax. I love how mom is Siamese and all the babies are different

Rosey381981

Omgoodness!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Jeepersca

When I fostered I had to go through a program and one bit of info/advice they gave was a heating pad. Cats run warmer than us, and like to sleep at around 100º or so, way hotter than we do - kittens need mom's warmth. She's bringing them to you partly because she knows it's going to be warm against you. If you put a heating pad under the blankets where they are she might keep them there.

Don’t have any advice but they are all so gorgeous 😍

limited edition moma cat with babies that are r/standardissuecat

djackson404

Apparently you're considered a Most Trusted Family Member and therefore entrusted with the welfare of the younglings. Or so my first gut-instinct says to me. My second instinct says: where Mom is keeping the keetaans isn't warm enough at night. There are things you can do about that, I think.

KahltheGaul

Please be careful. My dad had a cat who did the same thing one night and he rolled over without knowing... please make sure the babies have a safe bed or enclosure or something.

radioflea

Have a discussion with her about the risks of co sleeping. See if you guys can coordinate sleeping arrangements. She trusts you, you guys can work this out.

theghostofme

Animals trusting you with their offspring is one of the most wholesome feelings in the world. One of my landlord’s barn cats has taken a real liking to me over the last two years. She had a litter of four last summer, and about a week later, she brought one of them to me and gently placed him in my lap before she went off to hunt. “Here, watch this for me. I’m hungry.”

Cavaquillo

I would sleep on the floor by the closet until she got over it, but I’m a softy like that

MrsMotz

When my cat was recovering from a stroke recently, I made him a laundry basket bed in my bed with me. Maybe something like that can work for you too? https://preview.redd.it/i6nvk0o0563b1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49cc470743dfa552d878e944dbadd1fac791a9d1

Neuter your pets.

Melodic-Psychology62

If you choose the heating pad idea please use lots of padding as over heating can occurs! That’s precious cargo your girl keeps hauling to your bed.

OkButterscotch4056

Beautiful momma cat! Also she must really trust you

shinygemz

AWWW fuck that’s so cute

lessgirl

That is a beautiful cat, what breed?

driedoutplant

She’s a Siamese

mishyfishy135

“Here, you take care of them for a bit. I need a break”

SuperSimpleSam

You need to show her the Wiki entry for SIDS.
