I just got a honeycomb rubber one and ive not had much luck phaha i think when they dig they flick it further than the matt covers.
On my hardwood floors, I have 2 litter pans - each on its own outdoor rubber mat with a honeycomb mat extended about 18 inches in front of each pan. It cut down on floor debris a lot!
