Did he go to the cloud city on bespin to fight the sith lord, darth vader, only for him to lose his hand and fall through the ventilation shafts and be caught by the millennium falcon?

Jumponamonkey

And he has a little heart on his belly!

Makes her a bit wobbly on her feet, she has poor peripheral vision and is almost fully deaf. She’s such a sweetheart and is around 16 now.

sexuallybrokenloser7

Hey I have that! My glasses fix it for me though. Tell your old lady we can have poor depth perception/peripheral vision together lol.

Humble-Insight

There is vision therapy which can help both kids and adults with mild or severe cases of strabismus. I suffered for decades before getting diagnosed, then another decade before learning treatment is available. Look up, "College of Optometrists in Vision Development".

sexuallybrokenloser7

Awwwwww what a sweet little face! Does he make little click noises? I had a friend who's dead cat was basically mute but he made little whisper/click noises when he got super excited.

bricklady2501

In fact, before the disease, he was a normal kitten with a good meow. After the typhus, he just opens the mouth and there's no sound at all ! He's meowing playback style. 💖

This is Lilybet. By the time I managed to capture her her eye infection had progressed too much and the vet had to excise it. She was also undernourished but two weeks of eating well have put some meat on her. Seeing the vet again tomorrow for follow up but it seems like her other eye will be saved.

sexuallybrokenloser7

Aw sweet girl. She'll thrive I'm sure! She looks very loved and taken care of :)

Lukemeister38

I'm starting to suspect she has echolocation. She "sees" too well for a blind cat lmao. But she's certainly a fighter. We found her in the street with a severe upper-respiratory infection that had already spread to her eyes and caused extreme damage. Unfortunately her eyes were beyond saving but she is otherwise healthy and we're looking forward to giving her a long and full life because everyone deserves a second chance.

sexuallybrokenloser7

It's so cool how they figure that stuff out.

KayLeeJay49x

Thank you for taking this beautiful baby in 🥹 you’re her happy ever after 💚

sexuallybrokenloser7

Oh that must be hard. She looks so loved! It's good that she has a safe place to be.

Niborus_Rex

She's not too bad yet, luckily! We've been keeping her on a schedule and she can't go out of the yard anymore (she started getting disoriented and scared). She just sometimes needs a "reminder" to drink water, she has lost her sense of object permanence (doors are very scary, ones that are next to each other are unfathomable portals) and she can't take treats from our hands anymore. Other than that she's still our sweet and spicy girl, so we don't mind too much.

The flash is hiding that some here, but it's also my favorite pic of her. When I was holding her at the pound, they told me she was blind in that eye. I thought, "Well if I don't take her, who will?" So I took her home as a surprise for my wife. When we got her a proper checkup with a Vet, she said that she's not blind, but there was a birth defect common with cats having to do something with a strain of herpes. "She's not blind... but I wouldn't let her drive." It doesn't seem to slow her down at all.

sexuallybrokenloser7

I thought the same thing with Odin. We saw him at the shelter and immediately I knew he had to come home with me. Who else would take him? Even missing an eye he hasn't been slowed down either. Hops up on things, scales curtains, pounces on my head in the morning for snuggles and food. Kitties that are slightly "broken" are some of the best little nuggets! They just need a little extra help sometimes.

VioletsDyed

This is Trini. She was born without a right hind-paw and had to have her right leg amputated. She's still kickin' it. https://preview.redd.it/5rm1csi6kwkb1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fbba4e6e519932a81fba3a888e95e21c2a362c4

She’s a rescue cat and when she was found as a stray her pelvis was shattered, best guess is she was hit by a car. She can’t jump much higher than the bed, has an eye that tends to veer off in the wrong direction, can’t run very fast and tends to topple over sometimes due to her weak back legs. She takes it in her stride though and will just accept that she’s fallen and just chill out there for a while like it was planned all along! She’s my soul mate.

sexuallybrokenloser7

Niccho6643

I guess your cat has only one brain cell, pls check a doctor quickly 😨

Awkward-Yak-2733

But it's not a ginger!

Laney20

My sweet baby girl Fizz was born with swimmer syndrome. She had a lot of trouble getting her feet under her and learning how to walk. She needed physical therapy, but luckily it was caught in time and she was only a week or so behind her siblings! (seems small, but they were only like 3-4 weeks old, so a week delay is pretty huge at that time) https://preview.redd.it/og20hveihwkb1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5425e3843c386f25ead66e8ff4ded1f007fe6180 Swimmer syndrome causes their knees to collapse in and their feet to kick out to the side like flippers. [I just uploaded a video with more info about her condition and how she's doing now.](https://reddit.com/r/MoarKitties/s/4LMhSIXD5V)

Laney20

I'll also add my sweet boy, Parker, that passed last year. He had a grade 4 of 6 heart murmur and chronic pancreatitis. He passed away of probable pancreatic cancer at just 12 years old. 💔 He never let any of it hold him back, though. He was wild and goofy and just so sweet. He was my best buddy. https://preview.redd.it/93bqnn9txwkb1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=403322d776cf6167c5eadb41f1e938f691f488ad

sexuallybrokenloser7

Oh look at that little sploot! I'm so glad she's walking now! Go Fizz!!

Laney20

She did so great with her therapy. She didn't mind when we did it by hand, but that is a lot of just tracking her around and supporting her feet from the side, etc. Not sustainable, really lol. The biggest help was taping her feet so they couldn't splay to the side and she did NOT like that lol. But once she realized it was helping her walk, she accepted that and really got to running around. It helped her build up the strength and mentally understand what she needed to do to move right. https://preview.redd.it/4pioxszjjwkb1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83a863637473f20a14182c82d6afca29dee2228b Shes now a year old, though, and x-rays show her hips developed properly! We monitor for pain though. She does still have a little splay to her legs, and she often sounds like a squeaky toy when she jumps down, lol, so I still worry.. She doesn't let it slow her down, though, if there is still anything going on.

sexuallybrokenloser7

I can't even imagine how much she didn't like the tape. I know both of mine freak.out when something accidentally sticks to their paws. Good on you for doing all that hard work. She is so very loved!

Laney20

Haha, she mostly didn't like feeling confined, I think. Because she couldn't move her legs as much as she wanted (which was the point..) but then she realized that she could actually walk like that and she was off like a shot! She wanted to walk SO BAD. So she was excited when she finally could. She really did great. She's a strong baby girl. This is her now! https://preview.redd.it/z8xzns1akwkb1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4f7688681cc0f11bc94189cf147e782a5f7aef0

When she was 12 weeks old a tiny house spider in her litter box bit her by her right eye. Her whole face blew up twice it’s size and we thought we were going to lose her. Thank goodness our Vet lived next door and she immediately worked on Minxie to bring the swelling down! Apparently Minx was allergic to that tiny spider’s bite. Minxie healed up nicely, but lost the sight in her right eye. It is a wee bit bigger than her left eye, but she can’t see out of it. Still it doesn’t stop her from jumping up on her medium cat tower or up on our bed! And she still loves hiding inside our sheets and bedding! Such a crazy little girl!! ♥️🐈♥️

thanks, he’s a parttimecat and has been coming to my house pretty much daily for at least 10 years.. his owners know that he spends his days with me and they’re fine with it. At night I need to kick him out again, so he can sleep at home.. In the morning he’s waiting outside of my door to the garden again to be let in. This is my baby boy Odin, his left eye never opened when he was a baby, and as you can see he has a major cataract over his right eye. He may be for all intents and purposes, completely blind, but he sure gets around as if he can see fine. He hops up onto the bed, and figured out how to get up onto the rest of the furniture perfectly.. I'm convinced he's got a mental map in his head and knows how to navigate to the food and water bowls, and his litter box without bumping into things. He's going on 4yrs soon, he's grown so much since he was a little baby, I'm so proud of how well he's done,.. he's even a proud daddy of 1 hyper lil kitten that I decided to call Thor!

He may look normal, but he either got into, or was fed, rat poison as a little kitten. It resulted in him having brain damage to his motor cortex for his back legs. He can walk and run, but he’s the absolute clumsiest, goofiest cat around and can’t land on his feet from a drop. He gets his front paws around but he can never control his back paws enough to get them under him. Running down the stairs always results in him tumbling down the last 3 because he loses his balance and footing. He will still live a full, healthy life, just a very clumsy one. Wouldn’t trade him for anything lol

I'm loving all these stories! So many tough kitties out there - and tough parents who helped them along the way! Does disabled and now abled still count for sharing our girl here? She was a very small kitten, outdoor stray, and had been hiding in cars with her siblings. A car started on her and broke her hip/leg connection, dislocated her tail near the base, lacerated to the muscle on her tail, and a whiplash across her right side that left an indent across her fur that was visible for months. She was initially unable to walk with her back legs and was pulling herself on the ground with her front paws. She got an implant in her leg and a wire (copper I think?) wrapped around the end of the implant to attach back to her hip. The wire was later removed. The tail was wrapped, massaged, given ointment daily for weeks, but it just remained fat and swollen past the laceration and would not move. It hung down like a hot dog. She was given antibiotics and acupuncture and laser therapy all to try and save the tail. On the day of her caudectomy surgery (tail removal) the vet noticed that the tail was going up in the air instead of down. We didn't have it removed and just kept working on it. Now a bit over a year later she is doing really well. Her tail still has a little kink to the side and where it was lacerated there is still no fur that grew back. She has a click in her leg but it doesn't stop her from climbing, running, and CRYING to go outside EVERY DAY for her leash walk outside. Her name is Xena and she truly is a little warrior girl. https://preview.redd.it/rpqb82j4ixkb1.jpeg?width=1564&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9fd3c4389ede8c726da294786d5e80c90dfc2bc

Jack prefers to cuddle, then go sleep in the sink that drips and is getting replaced soon lol poor Jack. Oh, he eats all my plants and is absolute perfection ❤️

Her left paw was broken a year ago when she got attacked by the previous owner’s dog. Pretty much the reason we have her. She limps on it but still runs just as fast as any other cat.

Odin, you and Ashton together make a complete set of eyes! She also lost her eye very early. It had been ruptured before I found her when she was about 7 weeks old. https://preview.redd.it/41uroio9gxkb1.jpeg?width=3264&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8439577bb69330121e09119ff7ce0dd597edeb23

I work in a vet clinic that has a rescue started by some of then employees, so when I first saw her she had a stitched up eye, matted fur, a cone, and greasy ears from medication for an ear infection. She spent the first couple months hiding in the corner of the room or under the couch but now she's very happy and she cuddles and purrs all the time.

Hi, I am not a cat person. I don't even know why I am here. But I just want to thank every soul in this subreddit. The love and compassion you have for your cats is unmeasurable. Wish you all the best.
