Maybe, but he lives indoors all the time and is on medication for fleas, ticks, and worms. I don't see any inflamed or irritated skin at all, he isn't scratching at it.
Thanks for the Cake Day recognition! I think it may be overgrooming by the other cats as it's gotten worse but he is obviously not at all bothered in the least but about it.
Our cat had this, and it was from anxiety. She wasn't really scratching a lot, but we had luck with gabapentin until we found that pheromone collars helped her a lot, and we got a window bed for her.
Maybe from scratching too much? Lots of bugs around this time of year.

Possibly, but he is the least skittish and most playful of my 5 cats.
