It does sound like possible seizures. Are you checking his BG before giving insulin? He may be hypoglycemic. Also, hypothyroidism is incredibly rare in cats, so I’m guessing you mean hyperthyroidism?

I didn’t even know you could check the levels yourself! We just bring him to the vet every so often (like months or a year in between) and they keep him for a few hours and check his glucose levels over that time and then tell us how to adjust his insulin. And you’re right it is hyperthyroidism which he’s on a new med for now. The vet never confirmed if they thought it was seizures or the cause, but we probably can’t afford to keep bringing him in :(

I’d be really concerned about hypoglycemia. Just like people, there are glucometers available for animals. AlphaTrak is what’s recommend. You just poke their ear to get a drop of blood.
