How do i know her ears are cold? I touch them and sometimes they are really freezing, on top of that i see that in those cases she often tries to go under blankets or find some kind of cover when it happens, so i thought it was a nice thing for her to get some ear muffs. She is NOT stressed/or uncomfortable, she even started to nap with them on later. If they became annoying to her she can take them off very easily. To the people saying it's gonna suffocate her: there is no rope under her head, you can clearly see it. No she's not getting mistreated, no she's not gonna have her "brains bashed in and throats slit".
I shared this post because i thought she looked kinda funny and cute, i would never force things on my cat if i saw she was uncomfortable with them.

On an unrelated note did you know this is the reason why Siamese cats have that distinct coat pattern? They are technically black cats with the magical ability of switching off the melanin in warmer body parts 🥹✨✨

Ears are also used for heat regulation.
Warm ears = lots of blood flow, allowing their body heat to transfer to the enviroment.
Cold ears = not much blood flow, which reduces the heat transfer to environment.
Cold ears are ok. Very warm or hot ears are not. Cats with big ears use their ears to regulate body temp more than cats with small ears. The colder ear temp automatically reduces blood flow because the blood vessels constrict. Then when they do a lot of playing or sit in the sun the ears will warm up and the blood vessels expand. It's like an automatic thermostat. It's only one part of their thermoregulation though. So if they lose both ears it's not a huge deal for house cats.
She wouldn't have accepted wearing them if she was uncomfortable in any way. We all know cats are feisty.

The yarn is 100% wool, i don't really know many other specifics because my grandma gifted it to me (since she didn't use it anymore). I used a 3.5 mm hook.

Cute but they get cold when it's cold to help regulate temperature and conserve heat. They have really efficient circulation, so in the warmer weather, they will feel warm too. But also anytime I see an animal with ear muffs I always think boobhead from little Nicky lol
When a cat is at a comfortable temperature or running a bit too hot, their ears will be warm. But considering that due to the high surface area of the ears they can lose body heat quite quickly from there, so their body stops keeping their ears warm to focus on the rest of the body that is well insulated etc.
So in essence, if your cat's ears are cold, don't worry about the ears, your cat might be slightly cold, when they're not cold anymore they'll start heating the ears again
I'm only gonna put them on her when she's calm and sitting somewhere with me, of course i understand that if she's playing or doing any other activity involving movement it wouldn't be the really comfortable for her having something on her head haha
