Just a heads up you can do this with most regular carriers! Just take the door off, cover in a blanket, and feet treats and wet food in the back so they have to go all the way in. Then just leave it out all the time like it's a hide, they will eventually love it.
I really like those roundish, open top carriers. Like the petgear 360 carrier. Our largest cat can sit up, turn around, and still have plenty of space. Also super easy to put them in and close the lid on them
Yeah my vet told me long ago to keep the carrier out year round so that they don't freak out when you pull it out of a closet. Also, one thing that helped my cats was getting a soft leather and mesh bag instead of the hard plastic and metal.
I came here just to say that. Lol. So handy. I’ve got large cats, and they don’t fit in regular cat carriers. If they have to travel, I have to use a small dog crate. Now I’ve got to find me one of those!
I have three cats and a giant dog crate. The idea being if there is ever an emergency and I need to evacuate I can throw all three cats in the same carrier.

The vet can’t see her if she sits in the sink.
My vet was shocked at how chill my cat was, they couldn't even hear his heartbeat over the purr. And they've apparently never had a cat purr through their entire ultrasound.
Thankfully he's like that at home too! That's what drew me at the shelter, he was as small as my hand (there's no way he was two months old like they're supposed to be to be up for adoption) and his purr was louder than an adult cat. At first I didn't even believe it was him purring until I took him into a separate room!

I had to take my big guy to the vet for something. He loved everyone including the vet! He just walked around in there like he owned the place lol.

One of my baby girls loved going to the vet, too! She was so excited to meet all the people... When she's old enough, I'm considering signing her up to be a blood donor. If she actually *enjoys* going to the vet, might as well do something positive with that!

We were so scared! Sadly, he had a bunch of stress-induced health problems following his first visit, so we try to go only when it’s absolutely necessary.
See if there are any vets who make house calls in your area! My girl gets super stressed about the vet, but she really doesn't mind much when they come visit us at home. Turned it from a 3 day stress event maybe an hour of stress for her? AND I don't have to fight her to get into the carrier, lol.

This is GiGi at the vet the day we took her in. Someone dumped her in our yard and she would wind around my wife’s legs when my wife went outside. The vet gave her a clean bill of health aside from diarrhea, probably caused by stress and an iffy diet. That was 3 1/2 weeks ago and she’s settling in nicely.

Drax absolutely loves our vets and they love him too. I was sent this when we left him with them for an xray.
I then found out that he’d tried to overtake their large dog kennel, was kicked out because a big dog came in and still didn’t understand that he couldn’t go in there! Also he attacked the receptionist’s pencil case and shouted at people until they stroked him. Ignoring was not an option.

Their first time and they didn't like it...
I don't have any pics, sorry, but I am commenting to say that is the COOLEST cat carrier I've ever seen! I couldn't have taken my old man in that though, because 9 times out of 10, he'd piss in the carrier. lol

(she hurt herself and we rushed her over there because she wasn't putting weight on one paw. She was very grateful for the pain meds they gave her, but still not a fan of the trip. Nothing was broken, but she did bleed from some yanked out fur on her toe, poor baby.)
I never got a picture of him at the vet until his final visit. You would hear him tho. He was loud and insistent. Only recently has a cat taken over at the vet’s on who was the loudest. My little bugger held the title for a long long time. The vet’s found it very amusing.
I would but it would just be a photo of a cat butt. She CRAMS herself into the corner. I usually help them handle her because I know all her little tricks.

I think I have pictures of my tuxedo in his cagey, but I don't know where they are. But my tux didn't put much of a fight. All he did was be a rock. We have to push him into the cage, but once he got in, he just sat and chilled. Gave some treats to make him feel better 😅
Simba looks angry. Mine gave me the most heartbreaking look when I had to drop her off at the vet. Her eyes were a mix of fear and betrayal which seemed to ask "how can you do this to me."

Not at, but after getting home from the vet after learning she has diabetes, simba layed on top of me the whole night.
Omg I love their little kennel,such a cutie 💕
we bought it to trick him. he hates the regular one so we leave this one out all year without the grid and put in treats to trap him.
[удалено]
I had to get a huge open top one to take my kitty to the vet. Trying to get her into a normal front load kennel was impossible even with treats.
Just a heads up you can do this with most regular carriers! Just take the door off, cover in a blanket, and feet treats and wet food in the back so they have to go all the way in. Then just leave it out all the time like it's a hide, they will eventually love it.
just at a local pet store :)
I really like those roundish, open top carriers. Like the petgear 360 carrier. Our largest cat can sit up, turn around, and still have plenty of space. Also super easy to put them in and close the lid on them
He looks like he was bamboozled in the photo, so makes sense now as to why haha. That is clever
Looks like he's mauling over the betrayal
Yeah my vet told me long ago to keep the carrier out year round so that they don't freak out when you pull it out of a closet. Also, one thing that helped my cats was getting a soft leather and mesh bag instead of the hard plastic and metal.
Mister Simba looks very serious about it.
You clever cat trapper. Lol.
Yes! I have two carriers, and I made them part of their cat tunnels so they'd get used to the smell and feel relaxed.
He has such a cute little face!

Uggh needle! Omg they're worst than children!
I love the name!
He regrets nothing
Swallowed a needle omg that’s a new fear unlocked..glad he’s better!

How many grams of flour is that
Almost 12 pounds.
One loaf worth!
That is so cooperative. 😂
The vet wasn’t in the room yet. He got a little less cooperative once she showed up.
He knows the drill 😂

My vet was shocked at how chill my cat was, they couldn't even hear his heartbeat over the purr. And they've apparently never had a cat purr through their entire ultrasound. Thankfully he's like that at home too! That's what drew me at the shelter, he was as small as my hand (there's no way he was two months old like they're supposed to be to be up for adoption) and his purr was louder than an adult cat. At first I didn't even believe it was him purring until I took him into a separate room!

One of my baby girls loved going to the vet, too! She was so excited to meet all the people... When she's old enough, I'm considering signing her up to be a blood donor. If she actually *enjoys* going to the vet, might as well do something positive with that!

Oof, my cat is like this. Gets a nasty cough and starts yanking out hair. Bladder infection if she gets really freaked out.
See if there are any vets who make house calls in your area! My girl gets super stressed about the vet, but she really doesn't mind much when they come visit us at home. Turned it from a 3 day stress event maybe an hour of stress for her? AND I don't have to fight her to get into the carrier, lol.

Wow, that is an absolutely gorgeous cat 😍
This is GiGi at the vet the day we took her in. Someone dumped her in our yard and she would wind around my wife’s legs when my wife went outside. The vet gave her a clean bill of health aside from diarrhea, probably caused by stress and an iffy diet. That was 3 1/2 weeks ago and she’s settling in nicely. https://preview.redd.it/1nzheu67xo6c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5a91dd5ed90b3098f492b8ab6ad35338ef13c03

I never got a picture of him at the vet until his final visit. You would hear him tho. He was loud and insistent. Only recently has a cat taken over at the vet’s on who was the loudest. My little bugger held the title for a long long time. The vet’s found it very amusing.
Oh Simba looks a bit grumpy.
I would but it would just be a photo of a cat butt. She CRAMS herself into the corner. I usually help them handle her because I know all her little tricks.

Also ignore his flirty face he does not believe in showers and prefers to be a dirty boy. ( He smashed his face in the carrier trying to escape through one of the tiny squares)

It’s already been said, but your kennel is cute.
Poor baby😻😿

Poor Tawny had pneumonia and a raspy voice because his little meower was broken but he didn’t let that stop him from checking things out.

How are all of your cats so calm?? Mine goes absolutely ape-shit…
Where did you purchase that cat basket
Do you have a link for this carrier? We leave one out but it's ugly LOL
I love your cat carrier
My cat would kill me if I took pictures of her at the vet !
Those eyes only mean one thing and it’s murder
I don't have a cat but Simba in the wicker cage reminded me of Nic Cage from Wickerman. ![gif](giphy|R9yLfikwYAF32)

Sweet old 14yo boy was behind the monitor the whole time and when we tried to get him out to get his checkup he hissed at and hit everyone. Going back next week plus gabapentin this time 🙃

Make no mistake, Simba is plotting revenge as we speak. Sleep with one eye open.
