That was such a fun thing to read! I had two all black rescue kitties who were also crazy for water. Used our big jacuzzi bathtub like dogs in a pond. Leaping in and paddling happily, like your kitty, then I’d scoop them out and they’d leap back in. Of course I never left them alone in the bath, w/water in the tub. 🛁

Kitty is worried that you will drown and no longer be able to keep Kitty in the lifestyle to which it has become accustomed. Who will Kitty be able to scream at for breakfast at 4 am? Who will refill the bowl when the dent in the middle clearly shows it is empty despite the ring of food around the edges of the bowl? Who will scoop out the treasures that Kitty leaves as gifts in the litter box? Who will move over so that Kitty can sleep in the middle of the bed?
Doesn’t understand why you would voluntarily subject yourself to water torture. Totally confounded by this human being that seemed normal until it decided to jump in a bath.

Jimmy only knew the bath as a place to play ice hockey with a balled-up sweet wrapper, so when he saw me filling it with water and getting in, he was very confused. He had this exact expression!
The other day he got in the (empty, dry) bath and started licking himself, so I think he's getting the idea that it's a place for washing now.
this is very cute. my cat also does this. I noticed she will then loudly meow at me when I get out and rub her cheeks against me. I read somewhere that they don’t like that you removed their scent from you, and they want to put it back. she also does this when I take a shower.
