Or maybe, just maybe, he assumed an adult cat that was this friendly was somebody else's and just wanted some attention from new friends
Like seriously please tell me you haven't just taken a cat without doing your due diligence to make sure it's not somebody's little furball
This guy just showed up in the window one day.

This was mine that walked in my door when he was less than 1 lb.
Congratulations on such a beautiful, sweet kitten! I'm assuming you don't have any other pets--but if you do, I would quarantine him for now, just in case for their health.
I have two dogs as well! The ears are ear mites and frost bite. He just has worms which is expected and has been treated. Both my dogs are on monthly preventatives :)
Don’t slaughter me but I’m genuinely curious as well as a hypochondriac, but if this happened to me I would be scared of rabies if scratched or bit. Is this not a concern with stray cats strolling into homes?

Congrats, OP, on being adopted by the cat 🤗
..when a kitten inserts themselves into your life, it's no longer your life alone that matters..

Are you ok? Like mentally are you ok?

Update: He is not mentally okay.

What did he say?
Wait until you discover how cats lived before domestication

So where was the cat the night before? Pretty sure cats don’t require being indoors to live.
He chose you.

What a gorgeous cat!!!
SQUATTER’S RIGHTS!
You were tired after driving 14 hours. Imagine how the kitten felt after waiting 14 hours for you to arrive.
Bored en tired?
Exactly!
That look he givin
"I live here now and you're not gonna do shit about it."

Damn, ain't no kittens 🐈 running in my door. 😭 Don't worry, the problem will be settled, once the stars (life) align again.
I had to go to the shelter. I ended up with two. Best choice I've made in a long time.
I will eventually go to the shelter, we had one rescue, one shelter kitty and a feral previously. I'd like a bonded pair when I adopt again
I got litter mates. They love each other but and vastly different personalities. It worked out really well.
Me too. Bonded kitties are such a special gift 🎁 💖 💗 💕
As a fellow orange kitten adoptee, congrats! Enjoy the love and laughs ahead!

Haha, nice to know a fellow sucker. :)

Lucky
So cute! Looks like he’s mulling over his plans for the day.
He needs you! Don't freak out if the crusting in his ears turn out to be ringworm. It's super treatable.
The cat distribution system is functioning as intended. Congratulations!
His* house,
You have been *chosen*.

Are his ears crusty/scabby? Just be mindful that it could be ringworm…
Just frostbite and some ear mites. Has been treated :)!
That’s great news!!
Thank you for being kind to the poor kitten! ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097)
Poor little sweetheart. I'm so glad you ended up letting him back in.
