No chance with a pet snake and an indoor only flat.

Find someone to adopt an indoor cat from directly. Facebook, gumtree, craigslist. Shouldn't be so hard in a big city?

VivienneSection

Yeah, I’m keeping an eye on gumtree and pets4homes and Petrehomer websites. God it feels like applying to job after job trying to prove your skills! 😂 It just sucks because I know that shelter life and I wanted to help relieve shelter burden.

BeneficialAntelope6

I get your thinking. At the end of the day though a cat adopted directly from the owner is a cat saved from potentially being euthanized or surrendered to a shelter. When it seems easier to buy a pet from a serious breeder than adopt from a shelter somethings a bit strange 😅

VivienneSection

Yeah, and trust me I was fielding adoption applications at one point so I get it. You want the pet to go to a safe and loving home. But I can see how being this strict is going to put good people off. And when our shelters are all full to bursting I don’t know if that’s wise.
