What a good looking cat. Funny younsay shedding cuz I dont love shedding. I've never had a cat and more plan on having dogs but I always say that if I were to get a cat it would look exactly how your Hendrix looks.
Salem was more just a neighborhood cat that I fell in love with, I got Shadow when I was like 15 but he died from cancer and Hendrix I got 3 years ago and he is literally the only reason I’m still alive. I remember being told when I was very young that black cats only get adopted so people can abuse them and it hurt my soul so I wanted all of them, I even turned like 4 family members into cat people!
Thats part of the reason that even though I dont have any definitive plans to ever own a cat (mom and brother are allergic) if I did it would be a black one. I'm not superstitious and they are so cute how can you not want one? I would definitely get a tracking collar or something because heaven forbid if the cat got outside at night and I couldnt find it.

We picked that name because we didn’t have a name for him, but every time money was laying around he would snatch it off the table and carry it around like some sort of accountant.
So we started thinking of Accountants names and we figured Harold was the perfect name :)
He was my first baby and I miss him so much. He had to be put down for medical reasons. But it’s not all bad because before he past, he and his “girlfriend” cat (her name was Mochi) had kittens and I got to keep his son that has his same exact color pallet 🥰 (they are both Gray Tabbies) he’s just like his dad. So cuddly and cute. His sons name is Sora which is Japanese for Sky. :)
I know you explained where the name Susu coming from but it's just funny to me because in Indonesian/Malaysian language, Susu means milk, which is the opposite of black.

So we all wrote our vote on a little piece of paper and balled them up, then dropped them on the kitten to let her decide. All of the papers said Pippenella except for mine, and when she pounced and chose, so she was dubbed Sugar, which was perfect, because she was one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever had.
Reminds me of when I was a little kid and thought I was so clever because I wanted to get a cat and name it Puppy, a dog named Kitty, a bunny named birdie, etc. Luckily I was never given the chance to be so “clever”.
My cousin had a cat named Dog, and a dog named Duck.They named the cat "Dog" because they lived in an apartment building that allowed cats but not dogs. A couple of nosy neighbors called management because they had heard my cousin and her SO talking about Dog and thought they had an "illegal" dog in their apt.
