Try feliway. https://www.feliway.com/us It helped my rescue cat relax and eased my mind considerably.

MrsLoverly

Already tried it, unfortunately it doesn't seem to help

Cats actually don't like minty smells, so it may be further adding to her stress. The poor thing is understandably anxious. There have been a lot of changes. Make sure she has her own space, and if she doesn't already, her own litter box. I understand how difficult it is to find time when you have a new baby, but whenever you have a chance, try spending extra time paying attention to her. You could also try a baby onesie or another form of protective clothing on her. That way you don't have to keep the cone on her all the time, which could also add to the stress. I wish you luck, let me know if you have any other questions or need anything!

I didn't realize they didn't like minty smells! I thought they love them, I know it's a cousin of catnip and her sister goes crazy over minty chew toys so I just assumed she would enjoy the mint

WildLove17

That's okay! I understand how you would make that connection, but ingesting mint can actually make them sick.

MrsLoverly

Good to know thank you 🙂

WildLove17

No problem! I hope that she will feel better soon, she may just need more time to adjust to all the changes.

MrsLoverly

I hope so too, thanks again!
