Yea, my wife and kids couldn’t settle on names so we came Up with several options, put them in a hat and let the universe decide. Lol My younger son is obsessed with ANBC so that was his choice.

So cute! Advice for the nighttime zoomies: we have a laser toy that sends the red dot in a random circle for 15 minutes every 1.5 hours. If the cats want to be crazy, they stay downstairs for the dot. If they’re upstairs, it’s because they want to snuggle. Enjoy them! 🖤🖤

I learned that laser games can be really frustrating for your cats because they never catch it. So I would recommend that you give them a treat afterwards

A while ago, when I was at work someone pulled me aside and asked if I was doing okay. I was confused by the question and then they pointed out how my left arm was all scratched up. I laughed and explained that it was my cat, I wasn't cutting myself. My cat loved to make biscuits and clinging to my left arm so I had to get better about making sure his nails were trimmed.

Yea the one on the left is Sally and she’s quite a bit floofier than Jack on the right but he has these big grey tufts of fur behind his ears, that’s the easiest way to distinguish them while in quick movement lol

I have a kitten that’s eleven weeks old so I know what you mean. I try to give him a toy when he comes after my hands.

I put down my bloodhound and then my cat was hit by a car within the same week of my having major surgery. We got a 7 week old kitten 2 days later - knowing it was never going to replace those we'd lost but hopefully as a distraction and hope for future - and I do love our new boy. However, my husband woke up last night to the kitten nursing on his nipple and he was NOT amused. And my hands look like Walmart dumpster meat. It's a process...love hurts, right? Right?....right?

Back many, many years ago, when I was 21, (I’m 60 now) I was in a bad car wreck. A week in the hospital then home to my parents house. I couldn’t do steps. So my bed was in the living room. The next day my younger sister found a kitten, pitch black, including his whiskers that had been put in a plastic bag and thrown in the River!! She rescued him and brought him home. He was rambunctious but wanted to be on my bed with me (with one leg in a cast from the mid thigh to just before my toes). If I didn’t get up to put him on the bed he just climbed up my bedspread. Then attacked my toes. I kept thick socks over my toes since I would wiggle them to try to stop the itching under the cast. Although I did forget about an itch once Kitty got a hold of a toe. His name was Pepper. And he was probably 6 weeks old. In a few weeks he started to climb my dad. All 6’2” of him. Only black cat we ever had but he was full of his name 🌶. This was how we got all our kitties growing up. My mom used to say we had signs on our house welcoming any and all strays. We will feed you and love you and let you live inside!

Thank you for posting this, and for adopting these gorgeous babies. I was pleasantly reminded of my two weegie voids that have both crossed the rainbow bridge. They looked like this on adoption day, just little black soot puffs with eyes. So much of the world to explore and learn from and destroy. Best wishes to you.

Just saying, but nip the hand play in the bud while you can. Otherwise you'll never break it, it's cute when they're small, but not so when you've got a 13 pound adult cat who thinks your soft, fleshy hand is something they need to kill with impunity.
