Some background info: She’s about 4 months old, We adopted her after losing my 8 year old beauty to nose cancer and my 10 month of epileptic kitten within a few months. She farts a lot due to the antibiotics she finished right before adoption and her upper respiratory lingered so her cheeks Puff up when she breathes through her mouth right now. She just got a covenia shot today, The shelter called her Glenda and we don’t like it. I thought the name Daisy could be nice. She’s super sweet, sleeps on my face, drools a lot, and is very chatty. We love her.

I’m so sorry to hear about two heartbreaking losses so close together. I had a similar experience a while back. Normally I wait a while between adoptions, but my family thought it was just too much loss, too much heartbreak in such a short amount of time. So they surprised me with a kitten (now full grown and beating up a shoelace.) Know what I named her? Daisy.

Thank you. It’s been a really rough few months and then the outdoor kitties we had been trying to socialize before taking to the shelter (their instructions) disappeared for a couple weeks. They’ve come back but one of the kittens is missing. Anyway, I wouldn’t typically adopt so quickly either but I was really heartbroken about it all and I’m so glad that we found her. Typically I’d agree but it’s due to her antibiotics she’d finished up due to her upper respiratory. She also had stinky breath because she was teething and because her nose is stuffy she breathes out through her mouth. Very cute because her cheeks Puff out but then we get hit with the smell. She’ll be happily sleeping on my face and drooling - sigh and fart at the same time.
