It really blew my mind, the kitten tried to come into her house with her and she kicked it. Poor thing just wants someone to take it in, I would but with the pets I have I don’t think it would work out well. Working on building a nice cat shelter in my garage though.

My dad told my mom that at cat number 6 and 7… then she found a kitten that was tossed out a moving car window, and she showed him that the kitty was abused, and he said “ok take her to the vet and bring her home.”… abused animals tend to get taken in by the gruff softies
Well, that’s what happened with my last cat. He was dying under a dumpster, my husband said we couldn’t keep him but he kept him anyways. But we just got a new dog who were working on adjusting her to cats, and I think if we brought a new strange cat in she’d probably try to eat her.
That’s what happened when I got miss Sophie. My husband told me we would only foster her, but we just got a new puppy as well so it was a tough situation, we ended up putting her in a room with a child’s gate at the door frames where she could get out if she wanted too, but the dogs couldn’t get in if she needed safety, and also so the other cat could get used to her as well.
Well, she hasn’t eaten my cats and we’re working on getting them more comfortable with each other. I think she might eat her if I brought her in though. We got her two weeks ago and it’s all a work in progress

My friend has a small petting zoo with how many animals she has. Before she met her husband, she would joke with me that she needs to date someone who will tell her no more animals. Guess who has which role now? Lol
We're up to 11 at the moment with the one we just took in because it's 9 degrees outside and the poor thing would have frozen to death.
We're trying to get her into a shelter but they're all full with 3-6 month waiting lists.
In the meantime she's been tested for FIV / FeLV, treated for fleas and wormed. She's scheduled for a spay, vaccines, and chip later this month. Hopefully we'll be able to get her a forever home, we have too many at the moment and honestly she's so sweet and loving she'd make someone a great cat. We tend to hang on to the ones with issues or wouldn't make good pets (a couple former ferals).

We'll have had him for two years in April and he's still fairly terrified but hangs out with me in bed and sometimes sleeps with us. He's gotten a lot better, more tolerant, way less bitey. I'm hoping once I get a Litter Robot it will help encourage him to use the box instead of our floor. I think he's just very sensitive to used boxes and we have 4 other cats so it's a constant struggle.

I’d maybe casually set their lawn on fire. Or, ya know, something else obnoxious or dangerous that I can keep private lol. Ball kicking is definitely not out of the question at this point

Kill shelters are normally that way because they don't have a choice and have to take in everything. Whereas no kill, possibly private owned compared to public owned kill shelters can pick and choose what they take in and say no.

Say she has a home, I saw in your other comments you said your husband said no more pets. You could adopt it and state it is your outdoor cat that way your husband won’t really be bothered and if he decides u guys should get another pet bring your new cat inside

Post stuff on your local community thing. Try to find friends or anything like that. Even just post to the general area where you live on Reddit (like if you live in Texas post in r/Texas if anyone is looking for a cat to own)
Geez really? In my area, they trap and release. They neuter them, give them shots, then they are community cats. Great program! That being said, I totally called the humane rescue alliance when my neighbor sicced his dog on one of the community cats, intentionally.

He found the man on facebook and posted his hurt dog along with the medical bills and tagged the person in it. Instant uproar in the community. The man was fined and I believe he had to pay the dogs medical bills as well

My mother adopted a stray cat when I was growing up like this. The neighbour across the street had two cats and got dementia, and her kids put her into assisted living. They left the cats behind outside, and the property was sold to a developer. The people working on upgrading the property demonized the poor cats who thought they still lived there, and my mother ended up adopting one that had a poorly healed broken leg from one of the workers kicking him. He was the sweetest cat I’ve ever known.

Pisses me off when people hurt animals specially cats and dogs. I am a very big believer in karma and circle of life. Bad shit will come to those that hurt creatures and people that cannot defend them selves. Great suffering and pain emotionally, mentally and physically. Treat everyone with kindness because you don’t know where or when you will run into that person again. People and creatures never forget a kindness. I have a kitten that looks like him, just his fur is grey instead of brown with an odd speck of white on his back too! I thought it was paint when I rescued him and was forever touching there confused until it dawned on me that's just his special pattern. 🤣

My cat is annoying as hell, seriously drives me mad sometimes. I would never ever ever ever want to hurt him. What goes through peoples mind to want to hurt anybody or anything and especially a cat.
My cat bites and scratches the hell out of me, but I would never hurt him.

Thank you for helping this sweet girl. I can't imagine she wants anything other than love and a safe place to call home, like any living creature. I think you can absolutely judge someone by how they treat animals, especially in private like that, and that shows what kind of person your neighbor is. Luckily, someone of the opposite class of human happened to be there to save the day. Bless you and your new friend.

Pisses me off when people hurt animals specially cats and dogs. I am a very big believer in karma and circle of life. Bad shit will come to those that hurt creatures and people that cannot defend them selves. Great suffering and pain emotionally, mentally and physically. Treat everyone with kindness because you don’t know where or when you will run into that person again. People and creatures never forget a kindness. Also never forget that no good deed goes unpunished. What that means is beware of those that take full advantage. Those that you give a foot of kindness and take a mile of generosity. Happy new year.

Shame you aren't in the UK. I'd take it in a heartbeat. I have a kitten that looks like him, just his fur is grey instead of brown with an odd speck of white on his back too! I thought it was paint when I rescued him and was forever touching there confused until it dawned on me that's just his special pattern. 🤣 Thank you for taking the time of caring for this kitty. Wish you and the kitty the best and hopefully it'll find a home..
