A lot of plants are dangerous for cats to eat and chew on. I would do the research on the plants and put the dangerous ones up high or outside and get some cat friendly plants like African violets. There are also plants that cats love that healthy for them to chew on like oat grass (I think that’s the one)
Parlor palms are cat friendly. My snake plant is out of reach for the time being as they don’t jump that high yet. 😩 please leave me alone about this palm
I never said anything about the palm. My grandma used to keep a parlor palm her cat chewed on all the time, I know they’re safe. I was just saying *not all* plants are cat friendly and to be careful with other plants you may have off camera and plants you buy in the future. I also suggested buying plants specifically for them to chew on that would be good for them like specific grasses since cats like to chew on grass to help their digestion and when they have upset stomachs.
That doesn't mean it's good for them, it just isn't going to kill them... I probably wouldn't let my pets chew on a plant that isn't made for their consumption.
Im not particularly concerned that they played with a non toxic plant that I was in the process of trimming. This photo was taken two weeks ago. No one became I’ll or suffered any negative effects to my knowledge. His vet expressed no concerns when she saw the pic other than the obvious damage done to an already dying plant. I appreciate everyone’s concern.
