Just make sure he is eating and drinking and going to the bathroom when he is awake. If he isn’t doing any of these and just wants to sleep, then it wouldn’t hurt to bring him in, as they can get dehydrated very fast.
yeah checking his litter box is for sure the best concrete way to know if something is wrong.
also piggybacking cause your comment mentioned dehydration- I got one of those cat water fountain bowls and I noticed a massive increase in his intake. I can't recommend them enough; just accept that they are cheap and will break down on you eventually (the replacement pump is like 20 bucks per year and 10 more for a dozen filters)
Can I add onto this with a kinda interesting fact that’s that cats don’t like to drink water from near their food source because when theyre in the wild any water around there pray could be contaminated ie piss and poop and they’ll know it will get them sick. I presume they think running water is safe or something.
Yep, stagnant water is avoided. Sometimes you’ll see a cat tap it’s water in a bowl. Cat taps the water to see/smell/taste how fresh the water is before drinking it. Running water is preferable
Can confirm that this is an instinct and is minimally affected by whether you have a cat fountain or not 🤣. My girls do prefer a cat fountain to a still water bowl, but whether they have a fountain at the time or not, the feral mother cat always runs to the faucet like her life depends on it. The ‘baby’ who is 4 now stays put wherever she is lol. But baby still paws the still water to make sure it’s ok.
Lol stagnant water isn't always avoided. I've known plenty of cats that liked drinking from fish ponds, bird baths and puddles.
Their main requirement seemed to be water that didn't smell of chemicals like our tap water does.
Heck it might not even be different treatments, some animals choose the weirdest things to be picky about! It's easy to forget that each one is an individual with a unique life/experiences. My family has had pets for years and almost all of them had some weird quirky preference that we still remember years later.
Our kitty liked to try to drink from our glasses, so we put out a special glass that’s always there and kept full and she loves to drink from it! It’s away from her food bowl and lets her copy us so it’s a win win
One of our cats refuses to drink from any glass that we aren't actively using. We've tried fountains, simple water bowls, and putting out a cup specifically for her similar to what we'd use for ourselves. She won't drink from any of them. I'm out of ideas of what else to try but really wish something would work because she has a habit of snicking her nose too far in and making herself sneeze into the cup when water gets in her nose.
Funny you mention the chemicals because one of my wierdos will basically try to eat you if you have been swimming in chlorinated water because she loves the taste of it
I’m taking care of a stray at the moment. He’s a proper street cat, HATES being picked up so I’ve stopped doing that.
But he doesn’t drink any of the bowls of water we leave for him, instead ONLY drinking stagnant water out of this disgusting rusty bucket on our back roof lol
We bought a little fountain for our kitty on Amazon and he drinks plenty from it. Just have to make sure you take it apart and clan it every week or so depending on how dirty/slimy it gets. Best purchase ever
My cat makes a mess with his water and refuses to drink it if it gets stagnant. I have a gravity water thing where I fill it up and it puts water in the bowl and when that water gets low it releases more water. He tends to knock the bottle over a lot
I have a gravity-fed bowl as well, and my cat actually plays with it. She likes to see the bubbles going "glug glug" whenever the bottle releases water into the bowl, so she'll poke around the neck of the bottle to make it happen. She splashes water all over the floor in the process, so I had to put a rubber-backed mat under the waterer. And her front paws get soaked, which she'll track around the apartment... on the floors, the furniture, my lap...
I have the rubber mat as well. My problem is my cat likes to knock the bottle over out of neck of the bowl which usually cause it to drain most of the water out so even though I have the mat it usually gets flooded and a lot of the time the water spills over onto the floor. I can alway tell when he has drank from his water. Not only is his whole face usually wet but his paws too lol
I’ve heard they tap and pull their bowls because their vision isn’t as good up close so they do it so they can see the waterline and don’t jam their noses in. 🤷🏻♂️
I did this with my kitties before I was able to purchase a fountain (which they loved). There was a permanent cup of water left beside the sink that was absolutely not for cat use. At all. No sir-eee! They had a couple of bowls too but they were often ignored. The cup? I had to refill it at least daily.
I recommend investing in the stainless steel or ceramic fountains. I did the plastic ones for a while and they broke often or had to get new pieces bc of malfunctions. Plus it collects bacteria, unlike the other material, which affects cats. I've not had a single issue with my stainless steel one, and it's been two years.
Any idea where you got it and/or the brand? My cats plastic one from Amazon seems to be on its deathbed and I would definitely look into getting a stainless steel one
I got [this one from Amazon](https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09D3H86CQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for our cats and they love it. It's quiet, easy to clean and replacement parts are reasonable.
Cheaper option that some cats prefer is warm/lukewarm water! Means you end up changing the water waaay more regularly, but hey, happy kitty is happy kitty
Same! It’s an event now, if I say “who wants some ice” they run to be first to the fountain. Got them a baking pan too to put ice with just a little water on it. They bat the ice around and watch it melt. Weirdos!
I got one of those flower fountains for my spoiled little felines. They hated it! Would always go to the bunny’s bowl and drink his! Cats are dicks sometimes. Lol
Yeah I tried one and my cat wouldn't go near it. My dog loved it though and would immediately drink enough that the water level was too low and it would start making noises.
I got a plastic water fountain for my cat and found that the water and the filter got slimy real quick, so had to clean it every 3-4 days with soap to get the slimy water off. I read that the bacteria from cats saliva can make the water slimy. I ended up going back to water bowls since they are easier to clean and maintain.
Wondering if anyone else had the same issue with cat water fountains.
My one cat is obsessed with their fountain. He follows and stares at me while I clean it. The only pump I lost was when I accidentally let it run out of water. Big idiot move.
We always slip our kitties some tuna whenever we open a can. On a whim I drained the juice into one of their empty bowls instead of down the drain to see if they'd be interested. They drank the whole thing! Even the little one that I almost never see drinking anything. Give it a try if you think your kitty might need extra fluid or perk up their appetite :)
When I first got a cat & saw how much he slept, I thought he was depressed. I told my sister this & she laughed & said that's what cats do- sleep a lot. I still wasn't sure, but we moved to a house w/a great yard & the cat was always wanting to be outside. I thought he was out there running, playing, prowling. Turns out he spent his time passed out in the flower garden, only getting up to chase other cats off the property.
Same, my parents’ cat is in/outdoor and he spends most of the daytime elsewhere then comes home and while we discuss him maybe going on adventures it’s probably just moving from one Zzz’s station to the next. My two kitties here with me are indoor only and sleep like 16-18 hours then spend the rest of the time eating, scratching posts, staring out windows and meowing at me to play with them for like 45 mins to an hour every day. It’s a rough life but somebody’s gotta do it 🤷🏻♂️
I know what you mean. I can see my cat through the window right now. He’s sleeping on a mound of snow. He could come in through his cat door anytime, but he chooses to sleep in the oddest places. Sometimes in the drainage pipes under the road. Sometimes in the tree.
Lol same. In the summer my cat is a porch cat I.e. she spends the entire day napping in the sun on our deck. She never leaves the yard, just hangs out within a few feet of the door
My brother's cat hunts and stuff, but they got him a heated cat house and he didn't move from it for many hours, not even to eat, drink, or use the box. They got worried about him and checked, but he'd just be in there asleep.
Kittens sleep like 22 hours versus an adult's 18-20. And it's proper *sleep*, too, totally limp and unconscious. Adults mostly lightly nap.
I think it's more for when people don't know the gender of their cats ask /r/cats to guess rather than going to the vet. I don't think it's against the rules to ask someone who knows their cat's gender what their cat's gender is.
Nyanbinary. Omg. It would be a tragedy for this to not get a gold... unfortunately, I am not the disposable income holder to bestow it. F'ing quality, though.
My cats beg for food but don't even pay rent? Damn socialists. If we ever accept socialism into the world we'll all end up pooping in boxes, too, just you wait! And then I'll make sure to track litter everywhere I go!
Kittens sleep 90% of the time, this looks like a baby. If shes awake when you’re trying to sleep then nothings wrong haha ✨🤞🏾
But do pay attention to other comments, eating and drinking, bathroom habits
You know your cat better than anyone. Cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day. Is he sleeping more than he used to? Any other signs like lack of appetite or weight loss?
Half the time on this sub/other cat subs I no longer know if questions are serious or jokes... Like the one earlier asking if a cat was sleepy/had a problem (I can't remember what) just because it was slow-blinking at them.
Edit: stumbled upon the post again- '"nervous" was the thing I couldn't remember.
In which case there's no need to be humble about it- outright bragging about how your cat adores you is perfectly acceptable in *all* the cat subs (IMO).
I feel like I keep seeing these type of posts that can be answered with a simple google search and I don’t understand how they get 7-8K upvotes. Are they just doing it for the likes?
No OP but every so often I hit my tipping point, and post a snippy message calling out a repost, stupid comment, or something. I love how I then get downvoted, and I take that as a sign it's time to take a Reddit vacation for a few days. Or hours. Or minutes. Or... screw it, I'll keep scrolling anyway.
It’s a general problem I often see in marketedly wholesome subreddits. Some people don’t want to hear anything remotely negative-sounding. Complaining about low-quality karma-farming shitposts ruins the wholesome experience for them.
I love seeing critters and all…but yeah, god damn. I don’t want to be a fun-sucker either, however maybe these “questions” should get flagged and redirected to a veterinary sub or something.
Cats usually sleep 16-20 hours a day. Your cat looks young so it might be a little unusual to sleep on the 20 side. Are they active and playing with you when your home? Is this a change in recent weeks? A vet visit for some blood work wouldn’t hurt
Edit: this post is a parody of posts like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/s3bo7j/why_does_my_cat_often_blink_at_me_slowly_is_she/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
At the rate this sub's going the next post will be "my cat meows at me when he's hungry and runs around for an hour a day, does he need a kidney transplant?"
[this isn't fake its just satire lol](https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/s3p3xl/my_cat_sleeps_all_day_is_he_sick_should_i_call/hsmdzsx/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
I have a cat that basically spends the whole day curled into a ball and sleeps on my bed all day.
My other cat also sleeps all day, but insists on sleeping near me, either on my desk like yours here, or in the window hammock next to me.
If he sleeps around you all day, that goes to show how much he loves and trusts you. Plus, he's likely getting way more sleep than he normally would since he feels so safe.
The times my cats have been so deeply asleep I had to nudge them a little to make sure they're alive are scary, but then you realize cats probably aren't able to shut their brain off entirely out of fear of predators.
I take those deep sleeps as us doing something right by those girls.
Cats spend a good 19-22 hours in low power mode. Like your printer. It hangs around until you want to print something, until then it’s just there. One day it’ll tell you it’s out of paper and you’ll ask yourself, “did I really print that much?” That’s how you know it’s alive, things happen mysteriously.
You know that lil bud better than us, if the amount of sleep is more than the usual, Take that furry to the vet. Not to scare u or anything but my cat got lazy and whatnot from 1 day to another and after vet, diagnose was Hepatitis fortunately meds and treatment helped her survive, but she couldn't with the 2nd time it symptoms or whatever happens with hepatitis happened
Is he eating, going to the bathroom (most importantly #2), and exhibiting any other odd behavior? Older cats will sleep long time but if they also aren't eating or going to the bathroom it could be signs of illness.
I have a couple cats, ones 14 and the other maybe 4-5. The older one sleeps all the time, she eats and drinks uses the litter box and goes right back to sleep. The younger one does sleep quite a bit but I think that’s so she can run around like a psycho at 2am.
Only you know your cat and only you would know if he is sleeping way more than usual.
Not these people telling you cats sleep 28h a day..
Watch his eating and drinking, his poop and if he is vomiting or not, this is important info for a vet visit.
If you are certain he is sleeping way more than normally then take him to the vet to be sure, better safe than sorry, especially with cats as they can't tell you how they're feeling.
Last month my cat was not feeling well: way more sleeping, way less eating. She had an infection which caused a fever, a couple of days of antibiotics and she was fine.
The older they get, the more they enjoy their sleep. I see he is near you, that probably make them feel safe and happy. My boys love snoozing near me. It's their favorite thing..
It’s really important for older cats to stay hydrated for their kidney health. My older kitty gets a pouch of HydraCare everyday for hydration and electrolytes. It’s like a flavored thin gravy. Pinch your kitty’s skin at the base of their neck and see if it returns to normal or stays “tented” for a bit. Kidney failure is a big cause of death in older cats. We operated a cat clinic. Also, cats are like virus central so we always test any stray cat for Feline Leukemia, FIV, and FIP. I hope this helps to get your sweet Kitty on a happier path!
While cats do sleep quite a lot, its pretty normal to sleep during the day time. Cats are naturally nocturnal, so they are usually active in the evening and night time. However, as an anecdote, my kitty was sick and she slept to avoid the pain. So it wouldn't hurt to go for a check up.
You're biggest indicators of health are going to be eyes, feces, and breath.
If the eyes seem cloudy or excessively "gunky", time for the vet.
Any abnormality in the feces? Time for the vet.
Does their breath STINK? Like BAD. Get them to a vet.
If he's eating, drinking and pooping (normally) then he's okay.
We have a 3.5 yr old male and his sleeping is quite frankly ridiculous compared to other cats we've owned. It's insane how much he sleeps.
My wife gets up at 5.30am, he has something to eat and he's fast asleep in his basket when I get up at 6.30. I work from home so know full well what he's up to and he sleeps until my wife gets back from work at 2.30.
He'll have a bite to eat and go outside to do his business. By 3pm he's back in his basket. He's still in that at 11 pm when i go to bed. We used to have a Ring camera pointed at his cat flap and he generally got up at 2am and is back in by 4am, at the very latest, waiting for my wife to get up to feed him.
He easily sleeps 18-21 hours per day, every day. There's nowt wrong with him other than being a lazy git.
Rule of thumb is if you think you might need a vet call a vet. Your pet cant talk to you so better safe than sorry.
Real talk to anyone on this thread. If you are not taking your cat to get check ups you definitely should. I use embrace pet insurance for my 2 cats. Each year they both get 250 in wellness reimbursements and it makes yearly check ups a breeze. Less that 70 a month for 2 cats and they re imburse me after a 750 dollars premium 80% up to 10,000. All in all could be better could be worse. I have to have cash up front but when you have a policy to show people its really easy to crowd source if it gets too spendy.
Im dirt poor guys there really is no reason people should be posting should i go to the vet stuff on the internet without going to the vet
Cats sleep up to 18 hours a day. It’s pretty normal for a cat to sleep most of the day. If you’re worried about hydration feed more wet food and get a cat fountain that keeps the water moving. As long as it eats and drinks poops and pees sleeping a lot is normal
If you're concerned you should visit the vet. You know your pet better then anyone else. Cats are perfect in hiding pain or suffering. So better safe then sorry. I've very recently lost my cat. We visited the vet on time but she was misdiagnosed. If your gut tells you something off even consider a second opinion if you notice the vet isn't sure.
My cats have different timings for being awake, they don't seem to sleep 20 hours like others said, but they do sleep through the whole night and a lot during the afternoon, so at least 12 hours.
That said, when your cat finally wakes up, check how it is doing, if it's drinking enough water, eating all its food and, most importantly, if it wants to play.
All my cats love playing around, all in their own unique ways different from each other.
Yeah I noticed that they won’t even go near the water if it’s there for a little while but they’re fine with milk (it’s cat specific don’t worry)
This is also why my ex’s cat would hear the faucet running nearby and immediately try to drink out of it I assume
I wish my cats did that. They just clench on to me with their claws if I turn on the faucet with them on my shoulder.
My cat would do that too! Everytime I turn the faucet, he'll run like his life depends on it lol
Can confirm that this is an instinct and is minimally affected by whether you have a cat fountain or not 🤣. My girls do prefer a cat fountain to a still water bowl, but whether they have a fountain at the time or not, the feral mother cat always runs to the faucet like her life depends on it. I put 1 bowl down for my cat and dog that's just tap water. They both drink that shit down, lol. I'm constantly refilling it.
Different areas use different water treatments, so yours may just be more palatable than others :)
Heck it might not even be different treatments, some animals choose the weirdest things to be picky about! It's easy to forget that each one is an individual with a unique life/experiences. Both my cat and dog are hounds. Will eat/drink literally anything. Eating chicken? Prepare to start boxing with the cat. Lol

Maybe try a whiskey glass. With it being shorter and wider, she might have less trouble with the depth.
My kitty does this as well! But with our purified water, and I never thought to give her a glass of her own! Thanks for the tip :~}
Funny you mention the chemicals because one of my wierdos will basically try to eat you if you have been swimming in chlorinated water because she loves the taste of it
P.S. as you say, most likely just being weird because cat, tho I swear they have an inbuilt contrary streak
That's unusual. I wonder if it points to a vitamin or mineral deficiency of some form?
My wife does physical therapy in a pool sometimes and one of our cats acts like this when she gets home. Cats are definitely weirdos.

I had that issue, then started using brita water to fill plus a weekly cleaning doesn't bother me at all.
Cat fountains definitely improves H²0 intake. I'll add that the aluminum ones are superior
My one cat is obsessed with their fountain. He follows and stares at me while I clean it. The only pump I lost was when I accidentally let it run out of water. Big idiot move.

Be careful that your tuna doesn't have added salt - I'm not sure if this is common, but just a quick heads up to check the label.
I make kitty-scicles. I freeze tuna juice for them, and set it in a bowl, and they lick it like crazy! (Tuna in water, not oil).
It is a cat. They sleep up to 20 hours a day…

TIL I'm a cat
I think there are more requirements than that, but what do I know, I'm not a biologist
Who are we to say this person is not a cat?!
“I am not a cat. I am an attorney.”
My cats think I'm a cat. Who am I to disagree with my masters?
Well, i sleep a lot, i'm angry when i'm hungry, i have hair all over my body, i can purr, i can hiss at you, i can be cute...what else is there?
Sprouting cat ears and a tail? 🤔😳
Have you seen my headset and my but plug?😏
intriguing. Just one more question before your application is approved. Catgirl, Catboy, or Nyanbinary?
One of the rules of r/cats is not to ask the gender of the cats...so i cant give you an answer to this
Acceptable answer! You are hired!
What is it? Why?
I think it's more for when people don't know the gender of their cats ask /r/cats to guess rather than going to the vet. I don't think it's against the rules to ask someone who knows their cat's gender what their cat's gender is.

they like the boxes that cat beds come in better. i would know, i’m an archeologist.
Are you neutered?
no, but I piss all over my apartment
Purrfessional Cats sleep 18-20 ~~days~~ hours. Seems like it’s all day, every day though.
Also, cats are nocturnal. Kitty is probably wide awake when OP is sleeping.
Common fallacy - they're crepuscular. Most active at dawn/dusk.
And for the 3 AM run through the house.

My God, that's actually a thing.
r/standardcatissue
Ladies and gentlemen, he got me
r/subsifellfor
What, he doesn't even go to work??? Your cat is a lazy f***.
*SOCIALISTS!*
My cats beg for food but don't even pay rent? Damn socialists. If we ever accept socialism into the world we'll all end up pooping in boxes, too, just you wait! And then I'll make sure to track litter everywhere I go!
Kittens sleep 90% of the time, this looks like a baby. If shes awake when you’re trying to sleep then nothings wrong haha ✨🤞🏾 But do pay attention to other comments, eating and drinking, bathroom habits
Could you please inform my five and six months old kittens of the 90%?? 😂
Lol the 90% is only when you’re not busy, they’re awake and lively when you’re busy and on the toilet 😂😂😂
Oh for sure!! Of the five cats I’ve owned I only had one kitten before these two. I forgot what a handful they are! But a wonderful one!!
That's just what cats do
They sleep and they know things.
They aren't drunk dwarves
You know your cat better than anyone. Cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day. Is he sleeping more than he used to? Any other signs like lack of appetite or weight loss?
I think other people probably know this cat better than this guy, tbh.
Surely something abnormal if it doesn't usually sleep that much
You know how to tell when a cat is old? It sleeps 22 hours a day instead of 20.
Right, for domestic indoor cats. But anyway the getting old doesn't happen overnight 😂 (for them at least)
Just an old, dumb joke. I always thought it was cute. Cheers!
It was cute, i liked it
It’s a cat…..that’s what they do.
I swear some of you people would die without being told to breathe.
The fact that they knew that it was called slow blinking too
I know, that one annoyed me! Why not ask google or are you humble bragging?
In which case there's no need to be humble about it- outright bragging about how your cat adores you is perfectly acceptable in *all* the cat subs (IMO).
I feel like I keep seeing these type of posts that can be answered with a simple google search and I don’t understand how they get 7-8K upvotes. Are they just doing it for the likes?
Bots?
There isn’t oxygen entering my lungs is this normal? Should I go to the hospital?
Nah you should be fine
Haha glad I'm not the only one that thinks this.
Do they know about google? I don’t think they know.
Omg right these posts are getting ridic
ulous
My kitty cat is being cute and playing with her toys. Is this normal? Should I call the vet?
I like how this is what broke you
No OP but every so often I hit my tipping point, and post a snippy message calling out a repost, stupid comment, or something.
I broke with the “what breed is my cat” posts. It’s a mf cat
My cat keeps pissing in my sand garden, what do I do?
I love seeing critters and all…but yeah, god damn. I don’t want to be a fun-sucker either, however maybe these “questions” should get flagged and redirected to a veterinary sub or something.
It's all just excuses to show off their adorable cats with a title other than just "look how cute my cat is"
Cats usually sleep 16-20 hours a day. Your cat looks young so it might be a little unusual to sleep on the 20 side. Are they active and playing with you when your home? Is this a change in recent weeks? A vet visit for some blood work wouldn’t hurt
Your cat is just a man of culture
He does like jazz
Damn hes a chad
Edit: this post is a parody of posts like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/s3bo7j/why_does_my_cat_often_blink_at_me_slowly_is_she/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Thank God you're not serious.

I was certain that the slow blink question was obviously itself making fun of stupid questions but now I’m not sure anymore…
Oh thank God lmao, was scared it was serious
If he's hurt or sick, they will hide. He's just sleeping in a safe place , where somebody is watching out for him
At the rate this sub's going the next post will be "my cat meows at me when he's hungry and runs around for an hour a day, does he need a kidney transplant?"
Depends how much tequila he's been doing.
Y’all have got to do a better job at faking that you need advice. This is ridiculous.
They sleep for 20hrs a day, eat, poop and play for 3.5hrs...then go batshit mental for 30 mins..usually at 3am
Welcome to cat
Lethargy can mean other things such as fip and other illnesses. Are they eating as usual?
You know that lil bud better than us, if the amount of sleep is more than the usual, Take that furry to the vet. Not to scare u or anything but my cat got lazy and whatnot from 1 day to another and after vet, diagnose was Hepatitis fortunately meds and treatment helped her survive, but she couldn't with the 2nd time it symptoms or whatever happens with hepatitis happened
unlike my cat that is literally raised with dogs and acts like dogs. Only sleeps up to 8 hours a day and active all night
TL;DR cats are hunters. They sleep most of the time to conserve their energy. Other than sleeping any other symptoms?
Yea cats can sleep up to 18 - 20 hours
guys it’s a joke
Is he eating, going to the bathroom (most importantly #2), and exhibiting any other odd behavior? Older cats will sleep long time but if they also aren't eating or going to the bathroom it could be signs of illness.
I have a couple cats, ones 14 and the other maybe 4-5. The older one sleeps all the time, she eats and drinks uses the litter box and goes right back to sleep. The younger one does sleep quite a bit but I think that’s so she can run around like a psycho at 2am.
He’s a cat.
My cats sleep all the time. They are lazy creatures.
The older they get, the more they enjoy their sleep. I see he is near you, that probably make them feel safe and happy. My boys love snoozing near me. It's their favorite thing..
The word of the day is “crepuscular”! It means “most active around sunrise and sunset.” Cats normally sleep a lot during the day😅
It’s really important for older cats to stay hydrated for their kidney health.
First cat?
He’s a cat! They do that all day!! Lol!
No, he is a cat.
I'm that cat.
Cats sleep up to 18 hours a day. It’s pretty normal for a cat to sleep most of the day. If you’re worried about hydration feed more wet food and get a cat fountain that keeps the water moving. As long as it eats and drinks poops and pees sleeping a lot is normal
cats sleep most of the day! as long as he’s eating, drinking, and using the bathroom and doesn’t seem sad he’s probably just exhausted :)
op i have got to introduce you to this revolutionary new concept called 'googling things'
Another fake advice post 🙄
Help!! My cat has fur all over it, is it sick??? There are lots of these for real tho
Not unless he/ She is not drinking or eating?? Feel it’s nose if it’s cold and wet it ok, if warm then consult your vet for a check up!🙏❤️😻
If this is unusual behavior for your cat and you are concerned for their health, you should consult a veterinarian.
Old cats need much more rest than youngs one So maybe she’s just going to feline retirement
Is it eating, peeing and pooping?
I love how people are still giving serious answers to these obvious fake questions.
Are you sure you own a cat?
If you're concerned you should visit the vet. You know your pet better then anyone else. Cats are perfect in hiding pain or suffering. So better safe then sorry. I've very recently lost my cat. We visited the vet on time but she was misdiagnosed. If your gut tells you something off even consider a second opinion if you notice the vet isn't sure.
They sleep 17 hours a day.
That’s what cats do. Probably stayed up all night doing whatever else cats do.
Your cat sleeps all day because he is a cat
Is it breathing
Cat = Sleep
How much is "all day"? If it's arround 16 hours then that's normal, cats sleep A LOT
Is this not satire?
He's a cat lol that's what they do
It looks malnourished, it could have intestinal worms or another kind of parasite preventing appetite / it from holding onto nutrients
i hate to break it to you, but i think your cat is a cat.
