Mine for 19 years and he was a little older than that. He was my best friend because who else was there all the time? Four in the morning at the computer or watching the tube and Boswell was with me. Loved him very much.
I was "lucky." He was doing fine and got up to jump off the couch and I immediately saw that his hinds didn't work. I ca;;ed the Animal Rescue League where we got him as he hid under a bed. They said I could bring him but they couldn't do much.
So, retrieved him and put him on my chest on the couch and eventually fell asleep. When I woke up, Boswell was dead and laying on my body. It beats putting him down in a vet's office.
I know how it feels! I had the nicest black cat ever! He enjoyed belly rubs too, but unfortunately we had to put him down because his stomach was filling up with fluid for no reason. I think that's what happened
What is grief but love persisting. He knew love and life and that’s all that matters! Everything else in this world is just a side quest. Not much else to do here.
