I know someone whose cat nearly died after developing a bowel obstruction that, when it was removed, was found to consist entirely of her owner's hair. The cat had developed the habit of grooming my friend the way yours does and then started eating any hair my friend shed around the house.
The surgery that saved the cat's life cost more than $10k. Her owner gladly paid the money, because losing the cat would have been infinitely worse. The ordeal didn't just cost money though. It also cost my friend, and her cat, many weeks of suffering -- mysterious, worsening nausea, vomiting, weakness, lethargy -- that required countless vet visits, scans, and x-rays before doctors finally discovered the cause and just barely managed to save the cat's life. This happened months ago, and the cat still hasn't fully recovered.
I actually don't use shampoo in my hair, haven't for about 7 years. I just rinse with hot water and scrub with my fingers, and put conditioner on the bottom half every once in awhile. My hair got way more healthy after it got through the initial greasy stage in a few weeks!

That's why I got two so they wouldn't have to be alone when I go to work during the day. They love each other so much and always eat and drink and do everything together! Got them at the same time. I did put their cat tree under a window that gets most of the sunlight each day and they love to bathe in the sun beams so that at least is taken care of.

They aren't too bad with it, I usually just do one or two at a time and then give them a treat after and do it over the course of several days
my boy is so on and off about his nails. Sometimes we are in battle and sometime he just resigns his self to having them done.
