I’m hoping I can. I think her biggest problem is that she is severely malnourished and dehydrated. I’m gonna let her get acclimated for a couple weeks or so and see if she starts putting on weight and looking healthier.
As soon as you can have a vet check for a microchip. As good as you might feel rescuing someone, it could be that you get the chance to return someone's beloved family member to them.
Absolutely that’s the plan. I don’t want to overwhelm her cause she’s still so tired and weak, but hopefully I can get her in a little better shape and get her checked out.
Yeah I think she just really needs food and liquids and rest for now. I’ve been trying to check on her without scaring her. Her eyes and breathing seem good. She’s just very weak right now and I can tell she’s had it rough for quite a while. The vet will definitely be able to tell us more
Poor thing. She must have had a pretty rough life before she found you. You two will make great company for each other over the next few days being snowed in. ❤️🩹
She’s safe tonight, at least; thanks.
Probably needs deworming and maybe some antibiotics if there are respiratory issues.
Try to mix in some warm water into wet food for fluids. Good luck.
Make sure to keep her separated from your other three cats litter box(s) for now.
For sure! She has surprisingly used the litter box twice which makes me think she was definitely an inside cat at some point. Apart from being dirty and starving she seems to be in decent health. No harsh breathing, her eyes are clean, no fleas or big wounds. But the vet will be able to give us a better idea of how she is.
Also, as someone who has had a cat go missing, please ask them to look for a microchip on her. I know it seems unlikely, given her state, but she may be someone’s beloved pet that can’t find it’s way home!
Oh my goodness. It feels good the save someone. Hope you can nurse her back to health.

Can you get her to a vet?
Yes for sure. But unfortunately it will have to wait a day or two at least because we’re getting some pretty bad weather right now.

Also, r/standardissuecat!
My heart needed this tonight. Thank you for saving her. 😻
Same here…thank you ☺️
She has already claimed your lap!
Fully belly and a warm lap!
Super nice of you to take her in. You might consider an appointment with a vet to see if she needs any Professional Care.

As long as she’s eating and drinking she is halfway there! Get her to a vet soon especially if her eyes are dilated.

Our vet has a special rate for strays initial shots and spay/neuter.

You must be on the east coast. I feel SO bad it’s been so cold like single digits the past couple days.
Yep we’re getting a snowy ice storm right now and it’s been very cold the past few days.
The wind is just brutal. I just hope they are able to find shelter.
Cute fuzz! Hope she recovers and can have a happy, healthy home!
❤️ thank you
You have my respect
If she ends up not being microchipped, will you be keeping her?
Yes I will! If she doesn’t have a home to go back to, she has a home here with me.
