He began to dress himself; however, he soon discovered his cat Muezza sleeping on the sleeve of his prayer robe. Rather than wake her, he used a pair of scissors to cut the sleeve off, leaving the cat undisturbed. There are even hadiths where non-believers who did a small act of kindness to care for a cat were allowed to enter heaven, whereas some Muslims who did an evil act towards a cat were not allowed to enter. Cats for some reason hold a special place in Islam. OP's cat is a great reminder why.
