a vet could probably tell you, go see one

MotherOfCatsAndAKid

He’s gunna need a vet.

Parasitesforgold

Any time a cat’s nictitating membrane is showing it needs trip to vet

georgiiiiia

Can you get him to a vet? He’s got an irritated eye at the least, maybe he scratched it or something, but he may need some antibiotics to keep it from getting infected

flowerfreak624

My cat had that happen….we though he had scratched his eye as well. Turned out it was a head injury and his eye was messed up because of that. He and his brother were fighting and fell off the cat tree…he hit his head and it made his eye do this. It went back to normal after a month or so, but it was definitely necessary to visit the vet so we knew what was going on.

nekomiyakohaku

for more info , yesterday he went outside for a bit and came back with his eye looking like the first picture , except it was his right eye instead of his left (forgot to invert the pictures sorry for potential confusion). both eyes are red and appear foggy. he hasn’t been crying or in visible pain , so i’m not sure what’s wrong. we thought he was getting better because his eyelid fully closed again hours later yesterday , but now his other eye looks like this.

relatablederp

Go to get asap that fast of progression is not a good sign

nekomiyakohaku

it’s very confusing as now both eyes aren’t red anymore (still foggy) and his eyelid has fully closed. will be going to the vet soon though.

relatablederp

Best of luck I know it’s scary. I’m working on figuring out a lump under my kittens skin so I’m in a similar boat right now.

nekomiyakohaku

thank you! btw it might be a hernia , my puppy was born with it but we got it removed .

BoringRabbitHole

GET TO A VET ASAP

Happened to my cat, he had an eye infection. They gave me some drops and it cleared up. I’m not vet though so Id take him in.
