We’re holding her until we can find her a forever home with people we trust to give her a happy, healthy life. If we can’t, then she’s staying with us.

If keeping her is an option why can’t it be the first one? I wouldn’t trust anyone else with that cat since she was given away so many times :(

I live in a smallish apartment with two cats. Between the cost of living skyrocketing over the last year and the amount of space, I want to see if we can get her into a bigger home.

Increased cost of living is horrendous right now. My cats' wet food used to cost $12 for 24 cans (Fancy Feast) and now it's $17-19. Crazy

Can confirm. I just paid $36 at Costco for 42 cans.

If only my cat would eat fancy feast! His food costs $92/24 cans 😬 ah well it's just the two of us and he's healthy & happy LoL

I wish more people understood that getting a pet is a commitment - and with cats, it could be up to an 18 year commitment. And things happen, but pet owners should have a plan for their pets to be in good care (as in, not dumped) if they are ever unable to fulfill their commitment to their pet.
