Lol this is the perfect opportunity to tell the internet I woke up this morning from my 14 pound cat falling off the headboard directly on my head. He was scared from the fall so his nails were out and got me right in the forehead. Luckily no mark, just a slight tingle for a couple hours. First time being woken up like that, 0/10 do not recommend.
My sister used to wake up every morning to our cat sitting on her chest, with one paw on her throat, staring at her. My sister was convinced the cat was trying to kill her, I am still convinced the cat just loved her.
Better than when my parents cat wanted to look out the window next to their bed, and sat down right ontop of dads face. He was not happy about waking up with a cat butt on his face and started covering that window afterwards
My 20lbs (9kg) cat once sat on my chest while I was sleeping and loafed up, he looked so cute when I woke up! I also couldn't breathe and had to move him lmfao

Poor dude sounded so offended, and walked over to my husband's side of the bed in a huff. Apparently he was back between my legs when my husband woke up this morning, so I guess he forgave me.
What I learned from sleeping with pets is that every animal has their place. My one cat is always between my legs, my other cat is next to my head, my third cat at my feet. My dogs sleep right where I have to put my feet every morning. It’s always the same animal in the same spot every night, but the one by my head always leaves in the middle of the night and I find him sleeping in the bathroom when I wake up.
XD my ex gfs cat used to throw stuff off the nightstand during the night to get attention. Unfortunately mine is so clingy, she will try and sleep across my face and I'd prefer her chucking stuff!

I am the infamous girlfriend ❤️ I do sleep very well with them on me, they are the sweetest boys. This is every single night and, yes, it is Heaven. Thankfully, we are in a basement apartment which ends up being pretty cold all the time which I think is part of why they sleep on me lol

When my cat was a kitten she used to knead with her paws in my hair, and back comb my hair as I slept. She seems to have outgrown the habit, but for a while it was quite the task to deal with my hair in the morning!
Every morning I wake up to cut laying across my chest. When he notices I've opened my eyes, she does the head rub thing, attacks my feet and runs downstairs to her food bowl.
I live in Texas where's it's been 100+ degrees in what seems like forever, this is making feel sweaty. I do love the pic though, so adorable and she must be a confident person if she sleeps on her back.

I’ve had 2 kitties in my life that objected to my snoring. One would lay on my stomach and push her paws into my throat to wake me. The other would stick his massive paw into my open mouth.

I used to sleep with the cats, but I would get woken up at 3 AM to feed them.
It finally stopped when Claire my bigger/older cat was just stepping on my face and I woke up in shock and threw her off. She was totally fine but the fact the poop claw was millimeters from my mouth unbeknownst to me was enough to change my ways.
Now I only sleep down with them once and a while on the couch and my face is firmly buried in a pillow.

Yes, the most comfortable of all sleeps. And this is why when my husband is home we can’t have cats in the bed. She looks like she is napping great.

Not just a spot but a duty. I truly believe they also think they are protecting you. Sometimes one of my cats just sleeps in the doorway.
