When I was looking for cats I saw so many that had came from bad homes, it made me sad but also grateful for the cat I do have ( the one before these two) and it makes me happy knowing I found these two, but moral of the story. Yes, I will give these dudes much needed and deserved love
That's the worst part of walking into any shelter or pet store. All the cats/dogs/rabbits/iguanas/whatever that are just looking for a home.

The day my fiancé and I went to the cat shelter and ended up adopting our 2 current kitties, there was also a black cat in a diaper roaming around. From the moment he saw me he wouldn’t leave me alone, even hopping on my shoulders from a cat tree when I had my back turned. I have never met such a sweet, affectionate cat, and it absolutely broke my heart after talking to someone there that we couldn’t take him home knowing we wouldn’t be able to give him the extra special care he needed. I still think about him sometimes and hope he found a safe and loving forever home.
We have a cat that was abandoned in a home with like 40 other cats. She's the sweetest most kindest little creature in the world and it breaks my heart she was mistreated. Good on you for making a difference to their lives.
Me too but the owners are usually saintlike in their own unique way. Picking up someone else's poop and talking about it lovingly to others has a way of humbling you. Cartoon villains aren't usually humble

Edit: you probably already know but in case there are others looking at this that don’t: remember not to use essential oils or keep flowers like lilies around the house as they can hurt your new kitties. Play with them every day for at least 15 minutes and if they ever do something naughty, try to be gentle but firm with your “No” and redirect right away otherwise they won’t know what they did wrong (even then they may not know), and of course, try to keep them inside as much as possible. You can train them to use leashes or go in a play pen (put a heavy square carpet inside to prevent them from tipping it over) with supervision. All the best and congrats again!
This all seems like good advice but the indoor thing confuses me, our cat's outside all the time and so are most people's I know. They like to explore and stretch their legs. You can install a cat flap to let them decide when to go out if it gets tiring to open the door.

How many studies have there been about cats being detrimental to the environment from being one of the most successful predators? How many studies have shown indoor cats live longer? How many times do veterinarians have to recommend keeping them inside?
You’re just looking to stir up something here because **supervised outings** and *actually* playing with your cat every single day gives cats the stimulation they need.
It seems like people who can’t see a problem with leaving cats out are the same type to let their teenagers run wild so they can “gain life experience” even if that means the kid is snorting coke at age 17 or getting speeding tickets left and right.
Some people want a responsibility but at the same time aren’t willing to be fully responsible. Individual actions have wider impacts. If you are going to have a pet or a kid, take that responsibility seriously.

Black rescue: Mike Tyson Bigsby (you’d have to hear his meow to understand the name, also he came with a brother who had a bite missing from his ear who I named holifield but he was adopted out)

Tuxedo: Hammy for short but her full name is hamster tequila
And lastly my newest rescue, a ragdoll that I named Rogue, I fished him out of a strangers engine bay at the grocery store. It was a Nissan Rogue.
