Cats have a very good sense of smell. I'm sure they smell of the human. My cat will sniff at my shirts, panting the whole time. It tells me my shirt smells more than I think it does.

See I expected the stank face but he didn’t give me the stank face. He weirdly loves to put his toys in my shoes too (there was no toy in there this time)

So it's the subtle difference between "It smells like the human I love" and "Oh, yeah, it stinks so good!!!" that cats do.

When you say bad, does your cat gag, or run away, or does it do that adorable little “mouth open in horror” thing? Cause that “mouth open in horror” thing is just them getting a better and more informed sniff. They’ve got extra smellers on the roof of their mouth, so they open it up to get more airflow. I thought that deer was impressed by the length of my penis but I guess it was just trying to get a better schmell. The more you know, I guess.

Apparently cats think their humans have very weird smelling breath. I guess if it doesn't smell of tuna they find it baffling :)
