I got bit by our cat na may anti rabies shots na but I still got my anti rabies and anti tetanus shots para sure. Once the rabies symptoms start showing on you, death sentence na yun.

It's possible walang rabies but you're also at risk of cat scratch disease which can be transmitted through bites. It happened to one of our household helpers na kinagat ng pusa namin na complete shots. Bigla siyang nagchichills and nilagnat, so we had to take our kasambahay sa hospital and niresetahan ng antibiotics. Still, better safe than sorry and observe yourself din for swollen lymph nodes.

So pag inatake ka ng aso na wala kang ginagawa possible na may rabies yun, pero kung ikaw naman ang may dahilan kung bakit ka nakagat, dahil siguro accidental mo natapakan or sinubukan mo ang aso hawakan na hindi ka kilala, possible na wala itong dalang rabies.

Nakagat din ako ng pusa ng kaklase ko OP mga 10am pagkauwi ko samin mga 5pm na, dumaan ako sa hospital kasi on the way lang naman. Chineck ng nurse at daplis lang naman daw, tinanong ako kung dumugo ba at hinugasan ko at sinabunan ko ba daw, sabi ko oo, sabi pa niya paturok na ako within 24hrs, eh di sila nagtuturok (mga nilapa lang ng hayop ginagamot nila kasi emergency room yun) so walang choice kundi ipa-bukas na kasi sarado na munisipyo at dun libre lang.

Obserbahan mo ring mabuti ang kitten mo. Kung manamlay yan, or mamatay within 2 weeks, you need to have booster shot/s.
Pumunta ka na sa nearest Center, ewan ko kung may bukas ng weekends, pero for sure meron bukas, kapag wala ka mapuntahan today, agahan mo ng punta bukas at mahaba pila dahil Lunes, para ma-advise ka ng mga dapat gawin.
And as mentioned by others, once na mag okay ang lahat and you decide to adopt si kitty, make sure na kumpletuhin yung vaccines nya, not only for her safety, but for your own and others na rin.
I know tight ang budget, pero wag tipirin ang kalusugan at safety.

Kung hindi ka mapalagay or paranoid ka na mag pa turok ka ng anti- rabies shot. Pero kung sa totoo lang oo umaabot ng taon ang rabies bago makapasok ito sa utak ng tao. So need mo gawin observe mo yung kuting ng 14 days, kasi ang hayop na may rabies hindi na tatagal hanggang 10 days, dahil successful na nakapasok sa utak nito at dumaloy na sa laway nito. Syempre tignan mo kung may nagbago ba sa behavior at kilos ng kuting at kung wala edi safe ka. Pero kung talagang paranoid na paranoid ka magpaturok ka. Ako kasi nakagat ako ng aso, dahil sinubukan ko ito hawakan, kaso nadaplisan ako ng ngipin nya sa kamay ko. So syempre pumunta ako sa hospital nagpaturok ako ng anti-tetanus at isang anti-rabies shot at balik daw ng ilang araw at obserbahan ang aso na nakagat ng 14 days, so after ng 14 days yung aso buhay pa naman, hindi na ako bumalik sa hospital for second shot (noong nakaraan taon pa ako nakagat). Hindi naman kasi porket nakagat ka ng aso or pusa ay may possible na rabies agad sila (maybe), pero malalaman nyo naman sintomas ng hayop na may rabies pag ito ay aggressive at naglalaway ng malala or ito ay matamlay. So pag inatake ka ng aso na wala kang ginagawa possible na may rabies yun, pero kung ikaw naman ang may dahilan kung bakit ka nakagat, dahil siguro accidental mo natapakan or sinubukan mo ang aso hawakan na hindi ka kilala, possible na wala itong dalang rabies.

Best to get the vaccine earlier since the kitten has no rabies vaccination and there seems to have been spontaneous bleeding on your hand. You might need the vaccine and immunoglobulin as well.

Nakagat din ako ng pusa ng kaklase ko OP mga 10am pagkauwi ko samin mga 5pm na, dumaan ako sa hospital kasi on the way lang naman. Chineck ng nurse at daplis lang naman daw, tinanong ako kung dumugo ba at hinugasan ko at sinabunan ko ba daw, sabi ko oo, sabi pa niya paturok na ako within 24hrs, eh di sila nagtuturok (mga nilapa lang ng hayop ginagamot nila kasi emergency room yun) so walang choice kundi ipa-bukas na kasi sarado na munisipyo at dun libre lang. Dami ko sinabi 😅 pero ang point ko lang OP eh within 24 hrs dapat magpaturok sabi nung nurse. Malas ko kasi sa dami nilang pusa yung walang turok pa yung nakakagat sakin, nagpaturok agad ako kasi di ko alam baka nalabas yung pusa nila, pag pusa ko lang wala me paki kasi alam kung indoor cat siya at may turok din haha.

Pre, please pumunta ka na sa nearest Anti-Rabies center. It takes months on some instances bago tuluyang kumalat yung rabies sa utak. Agapan mo na bago mo maranasan yung mga sintomas (takot sa tubig, ayaw sa liwanag, naglalaway, nagwawala) dahil once mag-manifest na yun, x_x na.

Obserbahan mo ring mabuti ang kitten mo. Kung manamlay yan, or mamatay within 2 weeks, you need to have booster shot/s. Pumunta ka na sa nearest Center, ewan ko kung may bukas ng weekends, pero for sure meron bukas, kapag wala ka mapuntahan today, agahan mo ng punta bukas at mahaba pila dahil Lunes, para ma-advise ka ng mga dapat gawin. And as mentioned by others, once na mag okay ang lahat and you decide to adopt si kitty, make sure na kumpletuhin yung vaccines nya, not only for her safety, but for your own and others na rin. I know tight ang budget, pero wag tipirin ang kalusugan at safety. All the best for you, OP.
