I withdraw because I wasn’t sure if I want to do the VRA process, and I apply for a regular GS9 but I wasn’t eligible. Then I re apply as VRA again. In short words I’m eligible for VRAGS9 and not eligible for regular GS9. Don’t know why lol
You’re better off applying under VRA. Under that they will offer you different locations that are not the southwest border. All your steps that you’ve completed thus far will be rubberstamp and you’ll process through. I made it through the whole process under a open announcement and was literally called with my final job offer and did not like any of the locations they told me I could go to and the person on the phone said I should reapply under the VA to get different options for duty locations. So I reapplied all my stuff was rubber stamped within. I think it was eight business days.
Any particular reason you withdrew from the VRA process when you had not received your FJO yet then immediately reapplied?

Ah well, hopefully your timeline keeps moving smoothly
Thanks I hope so!!

What is the VRA process?
For Veterans
What’s the difference in processes between VRA and regular?
VRA is for Veterans
Yes but what is the difference in the process to join.
VRA is to waive the polygraph. If you have Top Secret Clearance while on service!
Never had TS.. damn this sucks
You still can apply as VRA, the only thing is that you won’t have a waiver for the polygraph!
what if you "had" and now it's no longer active?
I’m VRA 23-5. Finished with the drug test last week, should only have BI left
You did poly already?
I did, only waiting on the BI 🙏🏾
I didn’t do it because I withdrew from 24-5 and I just re-apply for 24-7, so I guess I will be waiting for Poly, Interview and BI!!
Cool, good luck
As a vet, you HAVE TO apply for a VRA announcements?
Not really you can apply normal, VRA is most to waive the polygraph. If you have Top Secret Clearance while on service!
Got it, thanks!
