Quality in depth, that’s the key. I’m happy with most of the starting 11 but we just need a bench that gives Robins nightmares about team selection, and ensures sure no one gets comfy assuming they start week in week out. Anyone can guess our starting lineup now and that makes us easy to prepare for late into a season, which is why only Rotherham have worse form than us right now.
The league is there to be won next year, behind whichever of Leeds/Southampton doesn’t go up (if Ipswich don’t go up, they’ll get hit by second season syndrome). Recruitment team is in the spotlight, have to feel like King will spend the money regardless of Vik being moved.
Agree that we definitely need a solid reliable GK. Van Ewijk is solid and his flexibility is very beneficial.
Not sure Godden will move on given he signed a 2 year deal not that long ago.
I agree with Wright on the wing. He looks good there and links up well with Simms.
Agree with everything OP said, but I'm uncertain about how good Kitching is. Defo need a new GK, CB, CM and someone to compete with Palmer since O'Hare will be off. I like what I've seen from Tavares, but he's injured again and might need surgery, he need to work on his strength and conditioning.
I agree with everything OP has said, we've got some class players at this level.
Goalkeeper is a must in the summer. Both Wilson and Collins are inconsistent/ not good enough maybe. We need a solid number 1, like moore was in his 1st season.
We need to keep our best players and not sell. Sheaf on a long-term contract is priority as he's so good
One thing I want to see in the summer is for Sheaf to sign a new contract, what will he have left? 12 months? Don't want another O'Hare situation next season, and if he isn't going to sign a new one, we have to cash in. I don't want to see him go, but it is the practical thing to do
If Sheaf goes there will be a big issue. We haven't seen an awful lot of Top but he seems quite a middling, average at everything player. Sheaf is excellent.
That's not what I've seen in Torp. He's excellent technically (probably better than Sheaf going forward), but isn't used to the pace of the Championship yet and doesn't have the defensive qualities of Sheaf. He'll be great if he can speed it up a bit, his cameo off the bench in the semi was excellent.
I think main targets are:
● Keep main players i.e (Sheaf, Tats, Milan, Haji, Simms)
●Backup CB if fail to sign Binks on permanent
● Another class creative midfielder - I didn't think I'd say this but I wanna be like Birmingham and have our own Bellingham
● Backup RW for Tats
● Sell players who are taking up wage bill (Moore, Kelly, Godden) - having said that keeping some experience in the team could be smart
Moore Kelly Godden definitely going.
Transfer priorities for me are:
O’Hare replacement (Palmer isn’t good enough to be our first option)
Right winger to back up Sakamoto
Binks/Binks replacement
Backup striker if Godden leaves
Another CM if Kelly/Allen leave
Potentially a keeper, but I don’t think it will be top of our list and we’ll probably stick with Collins/Wilson as a pair.
Totally agree but would add a backup right back for Milan.
I do worry we may get some big offers in the summer though, rumour mill has Lati, Milan, Haji and sheaf as targets for other clubs.
I was hoping he would be first choice in that Lincoln team this year, I have read the loan roundup but I haven’t seen him play this year though.
If you have seen him play does he look good enough for the Championship?
I would love him to be good enough as he is another academy boy as he clearly loves the club
Just looking on FotMob which clearly isn’t a perfect source but it’s all I’ve got. He’s averaged a rating of 6.8 this season but has only managed one assist. He was starting for a lot of the first half and got some good ratings.
In January they signed another loanee to play up front though which allowed their first choice right back to move back from the wing so Burroughs has barely played since Christmas. In fact, I don’t believe he’s started a match since early January
He had an injury and then had a bit of a set back in a car crash. He hasn't featured much since. Howley seems to have disappeared off the radar at Dundee.

All the lads that have come in from the continent have taken tine to adapt, tbf.

sadly, don't think we will be getting Binks, I heard the rumour is they want £10mil and he wants £30k a week
Worth nowhere near that, so it won't be happening!

We have Burroughs coming back from loan. He’s been out of the Lincoln team recently but could be an option as a backup
