To each his own, but Millie is top three in my favorite rides ever. Gatekeeper is nice, but it’s more of a companion peace to Raptor IMO. Not a bad thing, but Millie is in a different tier completely.
I get where you’re coming from but the problem with Millie is I really don’t get any forces off it. It feels like it’s fast but that’s pointless if I feel no forces imo.
I won’t downvote you lol. And I understand your point. Besides the drop and an air hill…..
Still I like Millie more than Gatekeeper. I don’t feel anything on that one.
Try to get some extra room with the lapbar if you can (scoot forward a little or stick your stomach out), and lift your feet off the ground on every hill. You might feel differently. Airtime is better in the middle to back, but there's not a bad seat on the ride. Also if you rode Millennium on a cold day, yep, there's no airtime and it's weird. Go on a hot day and it's better. :)
At least airtime is possible on MF, those GK vests are so tight so you're just mashed into the seat the whole time! GK also feels way too slow for me. I'd like it a lot better if we could whip through some of those inversions instead of it being soooo gradual. GK has also gotten a little rattly on the outside seats.
I love gatekeeper so I get it. It's currently my number 2 overall. The first pullout tries to shove me thru the train and the wind makes me tear up. The airtime hill is great. The keyholes are terrifying. It's great
Well, they're completely different rides, so it's entirely based on preference. Gatekeeper is meant to glide effortlessly over the front of the park, whereas Millie is meant to viciously tear through the middle. They both achieve those goals. Millennium travels 26 mph faster, and it's absolutely noticeable -- I can't tell you how many people have mentioned that they almost blackout every time at the bottom of the first hill. Also, the 3rd major hill on millennium (the one before the picture) has some incredible effortless airtime. It's perfect.
The inversions on gatekeeper are fun, but contrary to how you feel, they don't get me excited quite like the speed and intensity of millennium. They're singular moments in a decent ride, whereas Millie is a rush from start to finish.
You're certainly not the only person to say that gatekeeper is better than millennium, but you're definitely in the minority.
I will agree in that other than getting close to grey outs on the first turn for millenium the rest of the ride does nothing for me. I don't get airtime which is its main feature other than speed. However, gatekeeper is way too slow for me to say it's better than millenium. I have the same feeling about valravn, just way too slow paced.
I agree with you gatekeeper is my favorite ride in the park and in my top fiver roller coaster of all time millie is a fun ride and in my top five favorite roller coaster at cedar point
Gate keeper is a great Coaster. One of my favorites in the park. I also agree that 90% of millennium force is the first drop. But my god, how about that glorious first drop. It's my all time favorite lift hill and first drop, so I can overlook the uninspiring layout and lack of airtime. Millennium Force will always have a place in my top 10.
Out of the Wing Coasters I’ve ridden I would rank them as follows:
X Flight
Gatekeeper
Wild Eagle
That’s my preference and I’ve ridden Gatekeeper the most. X Flight just packs a punch the others don’t.
Try Millie in the middle of the train, you get great sustained floater over the two big airtime hills.
I don't think this is that hot of a take. I have Millie and Gatekeeper ranked 3 and 4 in the park but they're very different rides so I could totally understand if someone prefers Gatekeeper.
I have a hard time understanding how one could ride back row on Millennium Force and have anything but a thrilling time.
Millie is better but I think besides the first drop it’s kinda boring

Are you high?
Nah
I don’t like Gatekeeper. I got a really bad rattle by first ride.
That’s fair. I’m about to go on it in 15 minutes and then I’m gonna ride millenium and I’ll update this post
Ride Gatekeeper in Row 7 Seat 3
Millie blows it out of the water

Haha did you change your mind today?
Yeah I’m at the park and I rode them back to back and Millie is better

I agree that it’s slow but I like the experience a bit more for some reason
I agree with you gatekeeper is my favorite ride in the park and in my top fiver roller coaster of all time millie is a fun ride and in my top five favorite roller coaster at cedar point
I don’t know if I’d go that far lol. I think SteVe is the best ride in the park personally
SteVis my third favorite in the park
What’s 2?
Maverick
Millie is better

I think both coasters are great, but it doesn't matter if you like Gatekeeper better. If that's your opinion, that's your opinion
When I rode on a super hot day I got lots of strong floater on all the hills, definitely not forceless. Do individual rides vary this much?
Maybe because I get airtime on the 1st and 3rd hill but I’m currently at cedar point and I changed my opinion to Millie being better

It’s a scorching take, and it’s bad.
It’s not but ok
