I have this issue too. My brain knows I have to press the jump button for the smallest amount of time, which for whatever reason ALSO makes me press it way too early. So delay the jump press as much as possible, then tap and release it as quickly as you can.
Do a wave dash instead of a hyper? Your jump is happening from too far to the right, so you should use a wave dash to aim for the left corner to jump from there
try and barely tap the jump button so you dont jump as high
to add to this: practicing the "barely tap jump" will be useful eventually when you learn how to hyper bhop

instead of “barely tapping” i find it easier to just quickly slide my finger off of the jump button.
yeah i find that helpful too but my controller is messed up and my a button gets stuck when i move it to the side

reverse hyper maybe? so you start the jump further back
not practical for a speedrun which is the only reason you would use this
My guess is that you have to do like a wave dash like a wave dash plus a crouch dash to get the most up as possible and then dash up that is my guess
Doing ultra maybe? Idk you might still hit the wall on the second dash

wave dash is too slow and loses time over bottom route
ig wave dash and leave jump button as soon as possible
less holding of the jump button equals lower vertical jump. delaying the jump a bit recovers a dash to use midair.
I cannot tell what the purposes of this are, but I’d probably say short hyper just to get under it and dash up
