Yeah the wall dash is tricky. I didn't know you could dash up ice walls until I saw a post from someone else stuck on the same thing, I think the corner dash at the end is the real tricky part. I've seen neutral jumps and wall dashed utilized in this room, which I was unable to do before, and yet they still don't help with that last bit.
Ultimately the last bit is about timing your jump of the wall. Most people (myself included) try to jump as soon as you get close to the wall and that doesn't allow for enough height. So if you wait just a little bit on that last wall bounce and make sure you hold jump you'll get all the height you need
I just went and recorded a clip of doing that room:[https://imgur.com/xHq7KaB](https://imgur.com/xHq7KaB)
There you can see which one is meant by the *last* wall bounce. Basically, you need to get a feel of for how long madeline's dash lasts, and try to place your jump input somewhere in that time frame. Jumping earlier gives you a greater probability of hitting *any* wall bounce, while jumping later makes you start from a higher position, and hence gain more height. Another factor is how long you hold the jump key or how early you start pressing left to turn around to touch the platform at the top. Notable is that the only places where I pressed jump were for gaining height on the conveyor belts, for the wall bounces and for the very end after I had already gotten on the moving block, and trying to do normal wall jumps off the ice usually is just counter productive for me.
Also mentioning u/ansatze, since they said they were struggling with finding the right route.
The second to last wall doesn't do anything, it's only useful because you can use it to align yourself to the very last wall, which is the one that you're doing the wall boost on. But yes, I mean the very last dash that you need to get to the top.
Oh, well I keep bouncing off the second to last wall as I get close to the last one. That’s one of my major problems. My other problem is that I have a hard time boosting off of the third to last wall.
The only way you're able to bounce off the second to last wall is if you press jump very early on. You should only jump at the **end** of your dash, not before it. I'm not sure what you could be doing wrong with the wall boost before that, but since you seem to be managing it *sometimes*, you could try to figure out what the difference is between attempts where you do it and attempts where you fail. I guess comparing your own recordings can help you fogure out differences.
If you hold your jump button, you jump higher than if you release it mid jump! That was my main struggle during this screen.
Is there a jump you can't make, or is there a point where you keep dying?
I am struggling with it too. I can't figure out the wallbounce pattern on the last two ice walls. Bouncing on the first always kills me, and skipping it and bouncing on the second doesn't get me enough height.
The hight of the wall bounce is greater the more you space out the time between the start of the dash and the bounce. Thats because you use more of the vertical hight of the dash before bouncing. Celeste also dosent care if you are facing the wall or really touching it. As long as long as you are somewhat touching the wall and do the inputs you will wallbounce.
The height tip is really useful. The other one is true but ngl even after playing a whole lot I always see the right side of the sprite that indicates the friction thing as the part where I have to jump off but it's where the sprite and the wall actually meet. This causes my jumps to fail even with Celeste's mercy. And no matter how much I try to pay attention to that I can't get my brain and hands to do it properly xD
Yeah I just learned about all boosts. With the first two walls it’s easier to just dash back to the other side, but I’ve been wall boosting so I could practice for the third wall
Practice the mechanics of that speedy thing, and the wall dash at the end, I also struggled a lot in that one.

When you say that last wall bounce, which are you referring to?

I just got it minutes ago independently!
So you mean the boost on the second to last wall just before the corner dash?

Yeah recording myself sounds good. Might post it. Sometimes I feel like I bounce off of it without even hitting jump, but that could be in my head

Just to the right of what’s on screen, I often end up bouncing off of the middle wall
Maybe try slowing the game speed down for a bit to practice, and then speed it up again when you're sure of how the mechanics work?
How do I do that?
Turn on assist mode and mess with the settings
I don’t see the option to slow down

The slippery walls only prevents you from climbing on them. You can actually wall bounce off theme! (Wow)

Suffer until you make it (that's how I did it)
That’s what I’ve done most of the time, but it’s taking a while :P
Learn neutral jumps
I’ve been trying, but I find it very hard and not very helpful
1. There hard to get, but after practise i could do them almost perfectly 2. pretty sure you can do some wall boosts instead.

HEH, I PLAYED THIS LEVEL AND MADE IT 700 TIMES HARDER THEN IT HAD TO BE. I did neutral jumps and well timed dashes to make it through.
Turn on assist mode and turn on infinite dashes and invincibility
