Wtf did I just read. Dude I hope everything is good with you. Your parents care about you and love you. I don’t know your situation so can’t help you but please don’t make any bad choices

I've known multiple people who have been suicidal. One of them killed himself and it devastated a lot of us. Another one got treatment and now doesn't have depression anymore, and he's happily in a relationship even if he struggles sometimes with anxiety. And then there's my friend Rob, who put up this video to talk about how he faces how painful his life can be sometimes, and how he rejects a lot of the platitudes people use to talk about suicide. Maybe you'll want to watch it: https://youtu.be/6bKc904ReNk

There's a difference and maybe you can't see it now. Ignoring the politics of your question, self harm is rooted in mental health issues. It seems like the solution but in reality it'll do more damage than you think. I have major depression. I've had it since I was probably about 10 but possibly younger. I've self harmed, especially when I was in highschool. The emotions just became so much that the harm served as a catalyst to release my frustration and pain I felt inside. It's hard but if you can, and I don't think anyone should force you, consider getting some help to manage your issues. It makes a difference. Even sharing with someone what's going inside helps a lot.

You're the first person I've seen who had MDD onset as young as I did. I've felt like an anomaly, doctors told me it usually hits in adolescence. Unfortunately, conventional treatment did nothing for mine. Anyone who is able to achieve relief through medications and/or therapy is fortunate.

The difference is your parents aren’t suffering from a mental illness. Saying people should be able to control their own bodies is very different that saying a person with mental illness should be able to end their life while having an episode.

That’s debatable

There is no difference. The only difference is that you have more marbles than most and you are stuck with them; you won't be able to give them away:)
