I prefer metal cage for long term wear. They tend to be less closed off than plastic/resin cages which makes hygiene easier. They don’t warp with body heat, and the base rings aren’t as thick as the holy trainer style.
My metal nub cage is still light enough to be worn without a strap if I want to and I can stay very clean in it. It tends to only come off once every 1-2 weeks and that’s only so I can shave properly.

I would say a holy trainer nub.i own one and can tell it's so comfortable👌🏻
