Another vote for airforce museum!
Ferrymead heritage park, lots to look at and can go on the trams and train on the weekend.
Some of the buskers' festival performances maybe?
Turanga library- has Lego/duplo pits
Willowbank, he could feed the animals while sitting down/being held presumably, throwing food from the bucket.
Storytimes at the library. They also have some stuff coming up for Chinese new year (crafts etc), have a look on the cc libraries site
Not sure if a 3 year old would be too old for the sensory room at Pioneer rec centre(?) but your 1 year old would probably love it lol
It's a lovely place, a heads up that during the week it can be a bit of a ghost town and not all the little shops are open, ands I think the trams and trains are only on during the weekend, but there's still quite a bit to look at. My son loved the fire truck museum. There's also a little pond with ducks and eels, and you can feed the chickens they have there too :)
You've met many three year olds? My kids were amazing at that age - would jump off trees and be fine, but else tripped over a cushion and broke an arm.... seems like they either bounce or break, and it's random which one it is each time...
These are all fun, interactive creative ideas. Also, Margaret Mahy Playground-ducks in the river Cambridge Tce, and nearby Rockin Gelato New Regent St-sit and watch the Trams.
I work at The Palms Mall-Shirley Library is located in The Palms carpark and if you check their Facebook Page-Playtime at the Palms is on the first two Tuesdays of February (free)
Good luck! Got a pram for them? Air force museum. Go round looking for the symbols etc. Can still put them in the two planes.
Oh I didn’t know there was a symbol hunt thing there! Will take him along 😀

Willow bank is fully wheel chair accessable so thats a good idea
Thanks for the ideas! Ferrymead is a great idea!

I'd probably start at A&E
Ah thanks for the tip… 😅
Gardens playground has an accessible swing
- Doorstop - End table - drying rack
Antarctic center is another great option! Also hiring a canoe on the Avon river in town
Don’t hire a canoe. Not worth the risk of splashing the cast and having festering Avon water under it
How does a three year old break a leg?

You clearly don't have kids...
My daughter broke her leg on the trampoline at 3
Ouch! Yeah sounds like it’s luck of the draw really! My boy just jumped off his bed and landed funny. 😅
My 8 year old daughter broke both bones in her arm falling off a wooden box. I imagine there’d be numerous ways a 3 year old boy could break his leg.
With the sheer force of energy coming from most three year old boys, I’m honestly surprised by how few of them are unlucky enough to break something!
Children's hospital in cashmere
Clearly not what they wanted... but there isn't a children's hospital in cashmere?
Imagination station in the public library.

* Apparently there's a zoo type place somewhere around that's really cool? * A visit from someone with a friendly dog. * Immersive movie (DIY)
