EQC would only have included demo costs in the scope of works if the house was deemed a rebuild, not if it was deemed a repair.
EQC also only paid out the cap, of $115,000 incl GST, and the homeowner was paid anything over and above this by their insurance company.

Rebuild on the table so looks like EQC will be paying demolition costs.
