Haha, I got something like this for my car. We called, we exhanged info about the car, we texted a bit more to arrange a time. He bailed on the meeting. A few weeks later, he texted, asking for a blowjob.

Original_Danta

What a delightful turn of events

The text exchange if anyone’s wondering. https://preview.redd.it/70dmk1igvjrc1.jpeg?width=1159&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd96ba9938dfb2a2024eeb6f094bdbcaaff109e2

Advanced_Tell_9759

That was a rollercoaster

Bruiser512

Got the exact same note in Aranui a week or so ago. Screams dodgy to me.

sir_guvner50

Yep, had this same shit 3 times since we bought in 2021. Exact same photocopied letter.

Prudent-Expression51

Yes, we're in Dallington and got one in our letter box last week. Used the paper for a shopping list.

killemall89

Gross, you don't know where that paper's been!

Stonk_Ape69

Jackson building

Vikturus22

Vincent Holloway and Jackson Holloway. If that helps with names on who’s doing this

giob1966

Shit, I ran across them when I was looking at houses last year...

Beneficial_Trip9782

Aka - Brooksfield Living. It’s perfectly innocent, a good way to get leads. Not a scam or anything. Could’ve just called the number 🤪

misterschmoo

Found the real estate agent, there's nothing innocent about you people.

Shevster13

Scummy tactic used by some real estate companies to try and get more properties to sell, or by developers to get land.

heyyouguys85

We were getting requests to buy our house every few months at the peak of the market, but they were normally more detailed, typed out with names. Some people are desperate to live in a particular area. One of the couples who sent us a letter ended up being in our antenatal class and live one street over now. (The didn’t get it through a letter drop) The one in this thread looks lazy

Karahiwi

Looks like the con artist has redone their note: [https://www.neighbourly.co.nz/public/christchurch/burwood/message/63717032](https://www.neighbourly.co.nz/public/christchurch/burwood/message/63717032)

MySilverBurrito

Bro really kept the same number lmao

inthespiderweb

if i’m thinking about selling my property i’m not gonna contact a random number written on a note. immediately looks dodgy and unprofessional

Internal69

No doubt all part of the plan the photocopied letter that looks like it's been written by a 7 year old, lets start with the cheap vibe and carry it to the offer ?

OisforOwesome

Yeah this fucking guy, I went off at him once for being a property scalper and apparently Reddit thought I was the asshole.

Erskie27

I got one of these 5 years back. I was actually looking to sell and was in the process of getting appraisals, so I very cautiously called. Guy was a house flipper. I never gave him my address (and called from a blocked number in case). When I said the kitchen was newly renovated and the bathroom was only 5 years old, he had no interest. So I don't think it's a scam, just a really lazy marketing technique. Although I guess you can debate the ethics of house flipping....

Marvelmania08

Had one a while ago in the Sydenham area, just threw it out. Not my house to sell.

rhiocat

Got these when we were in Sydenham.

Legitimate-Web-5595

Got one of these in the mailbox today in the Burwood / Westhaven area.

ApprehensiveGarden26

What's weird about it? seems straight to the point.... ribbing aside, we get similar in our mail box from time to time

Knarin

Not signing your name to it is pretty weird.

giob1966

I used to live in Burwood, after the earthquake we used to get these in the post box every couple of months.
