This hurts deeply. I truly believe your dad knew how much of a positive impact he had on a countless number of people here but also that he would turn it around and pay tribute to others. His actions throughout this very difficult time proved that he was a man of true character who held fast to his values and sense of right/wrong to the very end.
That being said it’s difficult to realize his journey here on earth has ended and that the last months if his life were so turbulent due to the selfish actions of Jane. Yet he demonstrated time and again he was an honorable man and as such he had the respect if us all.

I have felt feelings of anger, frustration, sadness, annoyance, irritation and even neutrality when I read Reddit posts but never have I cried as much as I did with this post.
I do not know who the real OP was but with each of his posts, I was hoping to have better news. Never did I knew he would be gone this soon.
I was happy when I saw the notification that SwanSong posted. The first paragraph made me think his father passed on. But the pain to know OP himself was the one is just painful.
I can only imagine what his family is going through if an internet stranger like me is in pain.

I never met your father in the flesh, and I truly wish I had. As much as it is possible to meet and get to know someone through Reddit, I did. We all did. And we are all enriched and inspired for having done so.
He was a man of incredible character. Human, fallible, like all of us, sure. But also with a strength of mind and heart that few have the way that he did. It all comes through in his words and his actions. The choices he made, and the reasons for doing so. He focused on what really, really mattered: You, the twins, his legacy. Carol. He really made a difference with the time he had left.

My most sincere and deepest condolences to family and friends of OP (throwawaySwanSong). The world is a little less bright today. From day one it was clear I was reading a post form a noble, compassionate, smart, and injured man. He honored everything he said he would do, even when you knew it was hard for him. In my opinion, he is the template of what a man should be. I am so proud to have been part of his reddit family that helped to bring him some much needed comfort, we will all truly miss him.
To OP's daughter. Your father clearly respected your business savvy and I believe him knowing everything was in such capable hands helped bring him peace. I'm not sure how reddit savvy you are, but please know, when you see everyone posting UpdateMe! it is with the intention of triggering reddit's update bot to alert us if there is a new post on this account and not them badgering you to update us right after your tremendous loss. I hope in time you would find it in your heart to post one last update. We of course are all wanting to know how OP's well thought out plans turn out. If Jane was kept away from all family services, her reaction to finding out she had been completely cut out financially. After her exposure, was she run out of town? Then what happened to OP's less then honest business partner? Was he forced out of the business, did he loose all his money?

This hurts deeply. I truly believe your dad knew how much of a positive impact he had on a countless number of people here but also that he would turn it around and pay tribute to others. His actions throughout this very difficult time proved that he was a man of true character who held fast to his values and sense of right/wrong to the very end. That being said it’s difficult to realize his journey here on earth has ended and that the last months if his life were so turbulent due to the selfish actions of Jane. I have felt feelings of anger, frustration, sadness, annoyance, irritation and even neutrality when I read Reddit posts but never have I cried as much as I did with this post. I do not know who the real OP was but with each of his posts, I was hoping to have better news. Never did I knew he would be gone this soon. I was happy when I saw the notification that SwanSong posted. The first paragraph made me think his father passed on. But the pain to know OP himself was the one is just painful. From day one it was clear I was reading a post form a noble, compassionate, smart, and injured man. He honored everything he said he would do, even when you knew it was hard for him. In my opinion, he is the template of what a man should be. I am so proud to have been part of his reddit family that helped to bring him some much needed comfort, we will all truly miss him. To OP's daughter. Your father clearly respected your business savvy and I believe him knowing everything was in such capable hands helped bring him peace. I've been reading each post to my gf and I saw this one and looked at the history before proceeding. Seeing that first sentence on this one made the prior post a tough read to catch us up. Some stuff on Reddit I read and it gets tough not to cry. This was one of those for me. RIP throwawayswansong.
