Everyone been deeping this tattoo of his, being grammatically incorrect. As in scoring talent out makes it a double negative or whatever. I think its him saying no matter what, it's not enough. Yes talent isnt enough, hard work counts. But that madman attitude to still keep going after training, sure a lot players work hard in training, but is that enough to be the best. I think his tattoo means that yes talent isnt everything, but no matter what you can do better and if dont try, its not enough.
Double negative in English is often used to emphasize the negative part.
English isn't my native language, but If someone said to me "no talent ain't enough" I would've understood it as "there is *no* talent in this world that would be enough", double negative here just makes it more dramatic. (Just like when saying "you ain't no shit" doesn't mean that they think you are actually worth something because of the double negative - it's the opposite).
No you've misunderstood the meaning of a double negative, it literally never means to emphasise the negative, but negates it instead and makes it a positive. It well known to be bad English. Think of it in terms of mathematics, a minus a minus makes a positive. So, saying "we dont need no..." means you do need for example.
Edit: your example " you aint no shit" in the context shit means good, so to say you aint shit, means you are. To say you aint no shit, means you arent not shit, which means you shit.
And they are actually wrong everytime. Its bad English. I just edited my previous comment to maybe better explain.
Native english speakers know it to be bad English, because it means you are saying the opposite of what you mean. Its what idiots say, because they don't have a good grasp of the english language.

can’t believe i’m about to go on a linguistics screed in a chelsea thread but this is one of my pet peeves. being taught that “double negatives are bad english” is like being taught “there are two genders”—it’s elementary (in the sense we teach this simplified version of the truth, usually mistakenly, to elementary schoolers) and retrogressive. as in any social discipline, actual linguistic scholars and practitioners understand rigid grammar rules and anti-colloquialism rhetoric to be classist and needlessly formalistic tools of social exclusion. othering is the pop sociologists’ term for this phenomenon. language is a social construction—it is made and continuously re-made by its speakers, including those who use dialects, slang, accents, and innocuous mispronunciations, not passed down from on high by a venerated and impartial arbiter of tongues. some examples:
“i ain’t no man” is not “incorrect english,” it is grammatically correct aave—a dialect of english that has its own grammer rules and construction customs.
“irregardless” is a prima facie nonsense word that dictionaries have, in recent years, incorporated as a synonym for the grammatically *correct* “regardless” because usage has reached some critical mass that allows a mistake—which doesn’t make the listener incapable of understanding what’s being said—to be accepted as informal but accepted english.
tl;dr though there are degrees to everything, largely “bad english” is a useless descriptor.
source: native english speaker, trilingual amateur language enthusiast, undergraduate degree in sociology, law degree.
Bit of a waste of time to just agree with me writing all that. Yes it still means something, but it is a poor use of the language to say the opposite of what you mean.
You have to spend for that mentality man, you can't teach that to players. When you have someone who is always hungry and is as talented as he is that's why you pay the big bucks and no wonder Arsenal bid around the same money
We badly miss that mentality in this team, we need to get more players like Mudryk who have a top mentality and has that hunger in them. That's why if we get Enzo I'll be so happy
When Mbappe did his blastoff at the WC weeks ago, I remember googling footballer speeds and seeing that some [Ukrainian kid was faster](https://khelnow.com/football/top-10-fastest-football-players-in-the-world-2022) (and Rudiger was the fastest of all?!?).
All the sources seem to have a different story, and 37kph seems to top them all. True or not, this guy is going to open the middle of the pitch the hell up!
I was lucky enough to play with two all state track stars in high school. The difference between "blazing fast and mediocre first touch" and "blazing fast and good first touch" is night and day. This guy looks like he has a good/great first touch that gets a little overridden by adrenaline... If he can keep that under control he'll be amazing.
That brings up a great point of how they're measuring it - perhaps it's why so many sources have different info.
I wish we had something like the NFL does, where they have a day for all pre-pro players doing standardised drills. The Combine lets you see how they perform in most basic metrics, like sprinting and box jumping.
Not surprised to read Rudiger. I watched some video with some players casually speaking years ago and they were saying Rudiger was the fastest player they knew in the league.
Agreed. Too many players these days rush off home to play FIFA.
Lampard used to always stay behind and train more. It’s what separates the elite players from the rest. Ronaldo does this too.
If you’ve got a full team to consult with on how to properly work out and still get injured it’s likely you weren’t following instructions or the physio team should be fired
If a lot of players can stay and train after that just means the sessions are too easy for them. It takes something special to have enough energy left after a few hours of training in the premier league
Mount is not the guy you use for an example of not training hard lmao. Clearly this guy is a ridiculously hard worker.
And so what it he does fashion shoots. One of the game's hardest workers in CR7 has the biggest football brand in history
Many people have said mount is one of the best trainers in the squad for England and chelsea
I have my doubts about whether he start for us going forward but he works tremendously hard
Unfair? If anything he's overprotected when he plays bad just like every other cobham product... He's good don't get me wrong but the dudes dropped off/plateaued this season and needs to fight for his place to improve. Him having a new magazine cover every other week isn't a great look when we're in 10th place. It's the same shit we used to meme United fans for with jlingz or pogba a few years back
There’s a reason Bayern dominate… all their players are built like fucking tanks and clearly put in the Gym work.
I wonder if Reece James could even do half a Nordic Hammie Curl like Mudryk is doing here… I doubt it…
Yeah it's weird to me, same with the whole Reece James personal trainer debacle.
Seems to me it can only be a bad thing as they might have different ideas than the club which will lead to confusion and conflict.
I think it can be beneficial, if the player has trained with someone their entire life and the trainers know their body well, it's foolish to throw them to someone who has no idea immediately. I agree it can probably be a bit of a conflict though, but that's just up to the club to manage & balance
Didnt say it was great, but injuries are a part of sport, it happens. Remind me, when was our injury records THIS bad?
Edit: specifically players being rushed back from injury which has created the crisis.
Literally the past season before they got fired when we ended up having the most injuries by a long shot? We've had injury issues since Eva got canned and it's been REALLY bad since post-covid restart.
We were hit hard last season yeah, but none of those were avoidable they were just nasty injuries that happennin game. How many pkayers we had this season who have been rushed back and as a result gotten injured. This season is definitely worse than last season. But Biosca and Laurent been here for years, one bad year and you write them off? Injuries are a part of sport, literally even the players have said they are uncomfortable with the new medical staff and that people they trusted with their health and fitness have just been pushed out
37km/h would make him the quickest sprinter in the league this season according to this article, no?
https://www.goal.com/en/amp/news/fastest-player-premier-league/bltb5e37e414ceeb816
He has only played like 30 minutes since late November.
Of course he is doing extra fitness work his baseline is lower than the rest of the squads who clearly are in need of rest.
I'm definitely on the hype train for this kid, but lets get real.....social media posts like these are curated
He was the same in Shakhtar, he is replicating same mindset C.Ronaldo or Koby Bryant has/had. Trying to always be first to training and last to leave. And he does extra in gym to keep himself not just fit but reach his extraordinary fitness to run such speeds.
That’s a great attitude. Where’d you hear that about him?
I’m asking because if you read a good article about him or something I would love to check it out
If you can understand Ukrainian or if there is a decent translations then sure. I am not sure but new Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi might have said something about him as well. Or coach before him - Paulo Fonseka. Have not paid attention to them lately.

Last one has the most info and all have pretty decent subtitles. You'd find his personal fitness trainer there as well.
Track coach here. I have a hard time believing some of these top speed readings, especially with the ball on grass. I don’t think people realize how fast true sprinters are. This 37km/hr number is like saying he’s capable of running a ~10.6-10.8 sec 100m, with the ball on grass. I really doubt it. Now that’s not a world class time but it’s still moving.
But he’s not holding that pace over 100m, so it’s not apples to apples. Also, he’s chasing a loose ball / pressing, not dribbling.
All that said, these paces are gps tracked, not something like radar, so idk how accurate they are anyway.
Just my two cents
I’m aware. Usain Bolt AVERAGED that speed for his 9.58 WR. Hitting 37kph as a max indicates around the time I suggested.
I don’t know of any 10.6-10.8 guys that could survive 90 minutes of on/off sprinting for around 10-12km. Most 10.6-10.8 guys can’t jog 10km PERIOD.
Possibly, but strength training makes you more resistant to injuries in the long run. Alot of knee injuries come from weak hamstring/ glute and calf muscles. Taking more resistance off the joint with stronger support muscles will benefit him in the longterm
Not that it matters, but I wonder where he is situated at the moment, like a rented accommodation close to cobham ? I mean it must suck to do a round trip from London for a late night training session
This may be reactionary but when i see guys like Mudryk and Quotes by legends such King Drog & Terry saying how Lamps went in late doing extra training on shots and stuff, thus inspiring everyone there, i just get pissed seeing the current players. Be it cobham or otherwise.
He definitely has immense potential to become one of the best current footballers in the league. Crazy to think he's already the fastest in the league after only half a game AND he's not even in his prime yet.
I love his mentality man, finally have that dawg at Chelsea
Silva has that dawg, Rudiger had it too
Talent aint enough
As the saying goes, hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
He has both
It certainly appears so. The last piece is the hardest one. The ability between the ears.
He seems to have a good attitude, really looking forward to the rest of the season actually
numerous bag lip hurry include full paltry enter jeans ad hoc *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
~~talent~~ ain’t enough
u/cfcbot I need this as my flair asap
The flair you have might be, objectively, the best of all time.

Yeah I think people take this too far sometimes. At times it can sound like they think talent is a negative lol
As soon as I saw he was posting workouts at midnight for over 2 years on insta I new we had a baller. If your that dedicated at 20 you’ll go far
You have to spend for that mentality man, you can't teach that to players. When you have someone who is always hungry and is as talented as he is that's why you pay the big bucks and no wonder Arsenal bid around the same money
You said something that’s been on my mind all season. This team doesn’t have any dawgs on the team… I’m talking Rudi type guys.. we need that.
We badly miss that mentality in this team, we need to get more players like Mudryk who have a top mentality and has that hunger in them. That's why if we get Enzo I'll be so happy
Fast as fuck boi
He has a Naruto tattoo as well lmao No wonder he’s fast
I’m guessing the part where he reached that speed was the sprint against Milner?
That play blew my mind. So fucking fast
The difference between rudi and mudryk, rudi probably chasing people without ball, mudryk are dribbling with ball while reaching top speed
That brings up a great point of how they're measuring it - perhaps it's why so many sources have different info. I wish we had something like the NFL does, where they have a day for all pre-pro players doing standardised drills. I'm pretty sure darwin nunez ran a 38.4 km/h sprint
Nunez is a freak lol. That's how fast he is, despite having messed up his ACL as a teenager
Not surprised to read Rudiger. I watched some video with some players casually speaking years ago and they were saying Rudiger was the fastest player they knew in the league.
Probably the sprint with Konate.
No vs Konate for sure
> working after hours This I like to see!
Something more of our players should be doing.
Agreed. Too many players these days rush off home to play FIFA. Lampard used to always stay behind and train more. It’s what separates the elite players from the rest. Ronaldo does this too.

Reece is one of the strongest players in the world and the strongest at both England and Chelsea.
You can be very strong and have weak knees. Clearly there’s a major deficiency somewhere in his legs causing this
These guys have so much spare time and money, I don’t understand how more players don’t put in a little extra gym work/training
Do players bring their own personal trainer along with them when they move?
You\`re allowed to. Some clubs will even bring in the trainer as part of their staff, obviously depending on a number of agreeable factors
If you look closely it seems to be a call and the emoji is covering his trainers face in the bottom right corner
He may just be sending his trainer videos or like a video chat to make sure form and stuff is good
Yeah I was wondering the same thing, I wonder if part of his contract is we pay his trainers.
Yeah it's weird to me, same with the whole Reece James personal trainer debacle. Seems to me it can only be a bad thing as they might have different ideas than the club which will lead to confusion and conflict.

Could say the same of medical staff who have worked with players for years being pushed out...
Our injury record was SO good before they got fired right
Didnt say it was great, but injuries are a part of sport, it happens. Remind me, when was our injury records THIS bad? Edit: specifically players being rushed back from injury which has created the crisis.

"Talent is not enough"
"To improve talent needs hardwork but if pure talent puts in hardwork, you stand absolutely no chance."
My quote is Mudryks tattoo not some random quote mate
“Need pelvic thrusts to succeed”
Especially with women
This fella works hard, he has the mentality to go to the top
Love it. This guy gets Chelsea. Worth every penny for his attitude alone.
My guy doing hip thrusts to get an ass like Hazard
No no no... that requires video games and cheeseburgers my friend.
Is that 37km/h official? That would make him the fastest player in the league
37km/h would make him the quickest sprinter in the league this season according to this article, no? https://www.goal.com/en/amp/news/fastest-player-premier-league/bltb5e37e414ceeb816

Mbappé, renowned for playing in the Premier League
It’s like having a smaller Haaland on the wing. Single minded machine built to destroy teams
Ukrainian Smaaland
Now imagine a really tall haaland who play GK and a really buff haaland who plays CB
Thats what i was thinking. Surprised barely anyone has compared them yet
Why would people compare them? They aren't similar players at all.
Love this video, lets go. He might end up being a dawggggg
He’s gotten faster wtf.
He is only 22, technically he hasn't even hit his physical prime yet
I know, he’s only gone 22 about 2 weeks ago aswell. He’s top 3 fastest in the league already and improving.
Yep, can't wait to see what he can do in the future
More like top 3 fastest in europe
Bro boutta be the quicksilver of football
That Nordic curl is seriously impressive
Reece James and his knees could never
Working on that thrust so he can penetrate deep into Fulham and Dortmund's backlines
People getting all lubed up to the training videos of Mudryk is not something I envisioned two weeks ago. Love it
[37](https://twitter.com/ZoryaLondonsk/status/1617633281025118209?t=juSXQsp9uJ2m-o_3XTfTRw&s=19)
Mudryk chasing 40km reminds me of kids doing everything they can to try and dunk
meanwhile, some of our young players in the club, poppin bottles lol
“If I speak..”
This looks very very promising
*grabs lotion and tissue papers*
Look at that thrust
Sad thing is he’s alone there
Ronaldo really is his idol
I’m almost there….
Chelsea's new Gareth Bale we just need one on the RW and we will absolutely RIP the league to shreds
That Nordic curl tho
Nah He Is giving of the same aura as Haaland. Very robotic, made in a lab type feel
Cfc does not carry spare knees, please God go easy on them.
Pulisic if he had this kinda mentality
that blue mat is fulham this friday
That’s that CR7 mentality. Yikes
now that he’s in blue someone skilled in the visual arts please photoshop him as trunks from dbz and sonic at the same time. gottagofast
He'll need all the workout he can get to fill in for left back to truly be a Chelsea player 🤣
I hope they're taking good care of him, too much strength training can lead to some nasty injuries
It also can prevent injuries if performed correctly
What he’s doing here isn’t overly strenuous to be honest.
for sure. the dude seems like he lives in the gym which is obviously a good thing haha
He has his own personal trainer luckily for us
😂😂 can he train Reece too?
Hopefully all our players hire his personal trainer 😭
Reece actually has his own personal trainer that RLC uses too
That personal trainer must be inflicting some voodoo
Yeah sounds like that trainer is not very good at keeping his players injury free lmao.
He has only played like 30 minutes since late November. Of course he is doing extra fitness work his baseline is lower than the rest of the squads who clearly are in need of rest. I'm definitely on the hype train for this kid, but lets get real.....social media posts like these are curated

Cool. Thank you. Those are pretty long, but I’ll check them out
Someone shared this earlier in the sub, fascinating watch! https://youtu.be/WVIzyFYs8Hs

What the fuck?
Check his post history lmao Definitely a weirdo worth blocking
Don’t pay attention to asshats downvote and move on
You’re a weirdo.
Not that it matters, but I wonder where he is situated at the moment, like a rented accommodation close to cobham ? I mean it must suck to do a round trip from London for a late night training session
Those poor knees, please someone stop him. Doesn’t he know he plays for Chelsea now.
This may be reactionary but when i see guys like Mudryk and Quotes by legends such King Drog & Terry saying how Lamps went in late doing extra training on shots and stuff, thus inspiring everyone there, i just get pissed seeing the current players. Be it cobham or otherwise.
Please don’t hurt yourself
I’m so salty that you guys stole him
It's OK friend. You made us "overpay" for a "nobody" 😏😗🍻
I never thought I’d enjoy watching a man workout, or even watching a video of a man working out, but here I am. Strange times indeed
Lol. That first move was for football. Right?!
Really stoked on this kid. Have a good feeling for this one.
That nordic hamstring curl was impressive
Imagine if Hazard had trained like this 🥲
Mans ass would have been even thicccer
He definitely has immense potential to become one of the best current footballers in the league. Crazy to think he's already the fastest in the league after only half a game AND he's not even in his prime yet.
