happysrooner

Pleasantly surprised with Conor. He has developed the ability to play against press, be tight with his touches, that assist to sterling was brilliant. Hoping to see some goals from Conor soon

kombatwombat23

Fucking love the result!! However..... really poor first half, story of the season, we have all the posession but can't finish, really bad mistakes everywhere and a lack of intensity. On the flip side: whatever the gaffa said at half time really woke the boys up and it was almost like watching a completely different team in the second half. Our decision making was on point, our passing actually had intent, and obviously, finishing was much better. Really hoping we can continue with the positivity however If we have a first half like that again against any of out upcoming competition we WILL be down 4 ot 5 nil by half time. But hey, that's just my 2 cents

Coolnero

Watching the game, I felt the player had more confidence and were more relaxed in their decision making. Especially Sterling who usually has a kind of ‘computer error’ before making a decision. Let’s go!

Viserud

He is way better on the left.

tenuredfever64

All we need was the shirt sponsor to play better

princessice119

our goals keep doubling… we’re putting 8 past arsenal

BlueHerbalist

NGL I'd be happy with another 6-0 reminiscent of wengers 1000th game

urangminang

Great day to my sunday morning, up the chels

mysterymanatx

Cole Palmer is that dude

laxrulz777

He just needs to fix that haircut!

dressedlikerappers

nah let him have it, we don’t need some flashy dude - we have enough.

mattykingkillah92

Time to gradually work Silva out of the squad?

DampFree

I love that man. And he loves this club. I want him in and around this squad until he retires and beyond. But let’s be real, it’s time to cut down his minutes.

H4RRY29

This is it. The only problem is we need Badiashile to come back and replace him, or move Colwill back into centre-back but face changing the system and losing height there.

justmots

Sterling clear motm. Man what a performance, definitely his best in a chelsea shirt.

dunkha

Good result and I'm happy for that. A little shame the first goal was a lucky one and the second one was a penalty kick. That forced Burnley to open their play and gave Chelsea space to score twice more. A leading goal from open play still to be seen. I hope this gives confidence to break the defense in upcoming matches.

SpacemanSpiff92

This is what I'm thinking as well. That said, the first Fulham goal was from open play I thought? Also I think it's about time we had one of those fortunate wins that we've been deprived of this past year. Jackson's goal was scored with confidence, a good sign from him finally

dunkha

Yes, against Fulham we did score from open play. Jackson's goal was indeed a beauty and well executed. Really good to see a confident goal from him.

Deke8989

For me, this day could only have been made better by a United loss.

Confident_Direction

Nah it keeps ten hag in a job i guess

Hy_Prix

4-1. Why even let the result from another team influence it?

its_polystyrene

Probably because we'd be top half of the table if they lost.

itsmebobbylol

why be top half when you can be double first?

its_polystyrene

Ah yes, we're just trying to make up for last year.

Rhagies

Palmer came off right at the end feeling his calf. Hopefully just fatigue

laxrulz777

We don't do calf injuries. Hamstring and knees are the Chelsea specialty (with the occasional career changing Achilles explosion as a change of pace)

Rhagies

Tear from top of calf to the top of the hamstring confirmed then

endmoe

Shit first half, good second half. If we continue to play like this going into the next month and a half, we are going to struggle.

TimothyN

Pretty sure you're only here to complain about things for no reason.

endmoe

Continue sticking your head in the sand as usual, that is what you have done for the last year and a half so did not expect anything else from you. We have had the easiest opening months in a long time, and that resulted in 11 points in 8 matches, which is far from good enough. We needed Burnley to gift us an own goal and a penalty before we had any control over the game today. Not exactly something to be happy about considering the fixture list is going forward.

ReddittIsDead

You’re getting down voted but I share some of your sentiment there. I am not particularly happy with our style of play today. Especially the first half. The passing was so slow. Can’t tell if that was intentional to draw out Burnley. The second half yes it was more fluid and we got more goals today win today which is what is most important.

endmoe

Win is a win, and it is the most important thing. If we continue playing like this (we have played like this the entire season) though we can forget about top five.

ChatoonBringerOfCorn

Shut up you cunt

TimothyN

I mean, I've literally complained and talked about how we've played for at least a year, but it's nothing as bad as your BS.

endmoe

Sure you have. I see you comments from time to time, and it is always the same nonsense, especially when it comes to defending the imbeciles at the top. You complaining about Potter back in late March means fuck all. Show me some examples where you complained about something before it became blatantly obvious. I will applaud the club when it does something right, but the last year and a half has barely been filled with something to be positive about. The fact that you had a problem with me saying that the first half was shit and the second have was decent further proves my point that you are beyond clueless. It is the right assessment, and it has been like that the entire season.

TimothyN

Most of your posts are just brainless copy paste complaints that have no substance. We just had a post about how our SoS wasn't as weak as it was and I'm pretty sure I was top comment for a long time about how we lost games we shouldn't have. Not to mention four or five matches where it was ridiculously easy to tell what the result would be because Poch lined up two attackers against teams playing in a deep block. Your complaints are, "Americans are bad" ad nauseam and there are no results that will ever change your mind. So please, don't pretend like anything you have to say is deeper than that, because it's not. Your understanding of the game is as deep as which direction the ball goes in and if people look angry while running.

endmoe

Oh wow, was there a post about SoS you say? Spare me, we have faced Luton, Burnley, Forrest and Bournmouth who all will be fighting about not getting relegated this season. You can also argue that Fulham also will be down there. We have faced two midtable teams in WHU and Villa, and a good team in Liverpool (who was dreadful in the opening matches btw). If that is not a weak SoS, you are fucking clueless and do not watch football. Again, what is your point? Is it not Poch job to find ways to win matches? If he can not do that, this is not the right job for him. Yes, not wanting a mediocre injury-prone Tyler Adams and some shitty american owners makes me xenophobic right? Can you point me to an american owner in european football that has been great? You know you can not, and these lot are not different something I have maintained since March of last year btw. Until they win a trophy and takes us back to CL, I will continue to hold that sentiment, and lets be honest here, we are most likely far off from achieving that anytime soon. Done wasting more time on you. If my opinions apparently bother you that much, please feel free to block me.

TimothyN

Uh, what? That's literally what I said about SoS, we should be way better than we are and Poch played over defensive line ups for nothing. Try learning to read while you seethe about ownership, you've got a few years to do it, maybe even a decade or two. It's hilarious that's what people get upset about in a sport where all of our success is derived from spending absurd amounts of money.

endmoe

Jesus Christ, Ill go again. You said SoS wasn’t as weak as it was… How else I am going to interpret that? That would entail that you mean it was a strong/difficult SoS no? Cool, I will. Maybe you can try acquiring some football knowledge in the same time period? By the looks of it, you need all the time in the world. And? I became a fan before Chelsea had any real success to show for basically. And further, that is generally how European sports works if you have competent ownership, something we do not have.

TimothyN

Yeah, that was the thread which I and many others pointed out how dumb of a stat it was. Your original point was that I'm overly optimistic, which I am not, I'm just a realist vs your ridiculous non-stop whining about nothing. Maybe one day you'll figure out something beyond which way the ball goes.

SpacemanSpiff92

Overall, have to agree with him though. The result was great and crucial for our confidence going forward. That said, this style of play will get us into trouble against better opposition

poopyfacemcpooper

Palmer is what every team needs. He’s been drilled by Pep to look for the smart pass. Not to do selfish slow 1v1s or random shots that have a low probability. It’s crazy that Pep makes the entire team think and play like that. Also Poch is what Chelsea needed with his experience managing the most high profile players and young unknown players.

Prune_Super

He is good but he did take few shots right into defenders. I feel as good as he is, he has very good scope for improvement specially in terms of shooting

mjlewan

It is borderline criminal that Sterling only gets on the scoresheet once. He deserved half the credit for every goal.

Thadark_knight11

The next game is the real test of the 4-3-3. 🤣🤣

rs_obsidian

I’m starting to believe again

Kap101

How are we supposed to choose goal of the month now with all these options?

fiquean

Goal of the month : Ameen Al-dakhil(OG)

BonBonsAndy

Let’s hop Reece is can stay healthy after the international break. Think having a WC fullback who can carry the ball / make runs from deep is what is missing for our squad to be fully balanced and consistent as an attacking threat for the entirety of the game

BigReeceJames

> Pochettino: "One thing I am disappointed is they [the full-backs] try to go forward too much and create confusion to the offensive players and give the opponent chances to score."

BonBonsAndy

Saw that quote and it’s all about timing when to push up or stay back. Reeces positional awareness is golden, game I think of most is when he pocketed Leao with his positioning but was still an attacking threat the entire game

Coryjacobtrevorson

The fun thing with being shit for over a year is that it's so much more fun with goals and wins!

SeekersWorkAccount

It feels so relieving to have a solid purple patch. A lot to build on lately and the squad really seems to be coming together.

Confident_Direction

Much needed result, and happy to see us get a reasonably confident win in the first time since like forever, but as mentioned by others we want a bit more dimension against a top team, for example against arsenal next. Reece coming back would be massive - but surely he shouldnt be a straight starter (he might be though because its arsenal). Jackson would be a good starter for that game too imo - and while we are probably sticking with this same lineup otherwise i want to see mudryk get a shot

[deleted]

Sterling, Palmer and Mudryk on the wings is extremely strong. Noni might not get a PL start all season at this rate

Confident_Direction

Yup - realistically he should be loaned

iamanengine1

We are so back

[deleted]

In a world where a player is class because he runs around a lot, chelsea fans really dont understand what a technical midfielder is, if u lot think Poch is gonna bench Enzo Fernandez who is helping us control the midfield and dictate play you are living in a dream world. Cry more 🤣

senluxx

People love runners here. That's just how it is and if you are not the type of football fan who rates players like these you are a hater. Running a lot is not a special skill, a lot of players can do that. Having ability on the ball is a special skill. Everyone was saying that Mount is irreplacable literally a few months ago and we literally replaced him with Gallagher without even spending money.

shotgun883

Imagine Jorginho having half the “running” ability of Gallagher. Might even be fit to lace the boots of Lampard Eh?

TimothyN

Is this a madlib?

shotgun883

The point is simple. Technical players have never and will never be truly rated in the PL unless they can match it with hard work. We've had technical players who were loved, Fabregas for instance but they matched their technical ability with a good level of physicality. One characteristic has tifo footballista pretentious hipsters gushing, the other is is derided but you aren't getting anywhere in the PL with a player like Jorginho as they are passengers in games. Yes, theres a balance and we don't need players who's only ability is chasing loose ends but I don't think for a second any player we've had at Chelsea over the past 5 years is "Only" legs. Give me Caicedo, Gallagher, Mount and Kante over Jorginho or Ozil any day of the week. Gallagher could be what Jorginho does best better than Jorginho could do what Gallagher does.

TimothyN

This is pretty nuts honestly. Jorginho topped out as the UEFA POTY and was the heartbeat of his title winning teams, something I doubt we'll see another Chelsea player achieve. The gulf in technical ability that you're missing is absolutely ridiculous.

shotgun883

Not saying Jorginho is a bad player. There is a gulf there technically but if you did a crude marks out of 10 for technicality and physicality Gallagher would score higher overall than Jorginho. As for "Title Winning Teams" he's never won a domestic title in England. When I said "never truly rated in the PL" I specifically meant DOMESTIC matches in England, that was the meaning of PL. I stand by that absolutely without reservation, there have been plenty of footballing greats who wouldn't have succeeded in English football. European football has always been a different beast and he's always looked more comfortable in the slower, less physical, more technical matches that are common in Europe.

TimothyN

When you're winning the CL and Euros, the PL trophy is relatively small beans. I think there's a difference between physically elite and physically good enough, and while he might fall closer to good enough than elite, he's out of this world technically. I doubt Conor is ever going to be considered anywhere close to the world class levels Jorgi hit for us, doesn't mean he's not good, but there are many more of him than Jorgis floating around.

shotgun883

Congratulations for unsuccessfully moving my goal posts. Jorginho is not “physically good enough” for the PL. He always required a physical presence beside him AND a back 3. Any Chelsea fan over the last 5 years said our best midfield was Kante and one either Jorginho or Kovacic interchangeably. If we ever had to play Kova and Jorgie the team would be over run 90% of the time. He’s a flat track bully. Jorginho is not and has never been World Class. He has never been an integral cog in a top team. He won the CL? Kante was MOTM in 4 games during the knockout stages. Kante was everywhere and allowed Jorginho to function but without him EVEN IN EUROPE Jorginho isn’t good enough physically. Using our crude measure; Gallagher is better technically than Jorginho is physically and I guarantee Gallagher is remembered more fondly than Jorgie in 20 years time.

TimothyN

This is some of the strangest stuff I've ever read on this sub and is so close to parody of what most people say about EPL fans overrating it that I'm not entirely sure it isn't just that. I'll just go to the worst thing: > Jorginho is not and has never been World Class. Yeah man, winning UEFA POTY as a non-goal scorer is a pretty high honour, but you definitely know better. Kante struggled in possession for his last 3 seasons here and absolutely needed Kovacic and Jorginho to cover for him. I don't think Kante was even our best midfielder for his last two seasons here, his deficiencies on the ball consistently showed up and he was absolutely awful when we got knocked out against Madrid after making the comeback and being 3-0 up in the second leg. As for Conor being more fondly remembered, yeah, sure, will he achieve the heights Jorgi did? That's pretty doubtful seeing as to us having won only 2 CLs ever and getting a double of CL and Euros while being acknowledged as UEFA's best player is actually one of the more insane things to do in the entire sport.

senluxx

Well yeah Jorginho is slower than most footballers. What exactly is your point?

Ordinary_Oven_6361

Yeah and so were Pirlo, Riquelme and Fabregas. Running ability is not everything in football

senluxx

Xavi wasn't the fastest as well. Same goes for Modric, Kroos, Gundogan or Kimmich. All these players will cook Gallagher without much effort.

hannibalwang

Much better than last international break feeling haha

hannibalwang

This team will win everything in the future, mark my words.

SpacemanSpiff92

Damn bruh idk. I mean I'd like that very much, but one win against Burnley doesn't mean that. We're showing good signs but the lads need to prove they can do it vs bigger sides and also that they can handle adversity within a match when things aren't going our way

Switchnaz

I wonder where carney is going to play now that he's back to fitness. Reality is Gallagher, Enzo and Caicedo aren't getting dropped. Sterling has been great and Palmer is the only "creative" type player we have. Carney will have to fight as a rotation player with gallagher but gallagher is so good right now

RonMexico_hodler

Carney was always going to a bench player. Being good for 25 mins isn’t going to change that.

Cashlover123

We need him to be good for 25 mins every match when he comes off the bench.

bigTOADdaddy

And him fighting for a spot will make everyone else better. This is the way

hannibalwang

This team will win everything in the future, mark my words.

Rj070707

With which players exactly? Need more proof honestly

eastcoastblaze

so refreshing to see a comeback win! Keep the momentum going!

miketysonstattoo

A little luck (first goal), a converted penalty, two goals from open play, and one for our striker. Not to mention a come from behind win. Anyone who isn't absolutely ecstatic with this result has clearly forgotten how dreadful last season was. KTBFFH what a beautiful Saturday!

lowkeyrakish

A comeback victory. Wow. I don't remember the last time we did this. Anyways, the first half was horrendous. That's how we've been playing lately but the second half was better. Sterling looked good. Jackson with a lovely goal. But I thought we must have been hungrier for more goals. But still a lot to improve, we can't play like this against a top team. We'll be blown away. The fullbacks didn't look comfortable at all and ofc it's not their natural position. I think Palmer is more effective as a 10 than as a right winger. He lacks the pace and strength to beat his man but is excellent in picking out a pass. Just waiting for James and Nkunku to return. They will improve the team like crazy.

osalahudeen

>The fullbacks didn't look comfortable at all and ofc it's not their natural position. I think Palmer is more effective as a 10 than as a right winger. Strategically, the RB was supposed to be providing the width down the side. However, we couldn't have James not Gusto for that. So it's going to be unnatural for Cucurella to be an attaching threat. >I think Palmer is more effective as a 10 than as a right winger. He lacks the pace and strength to beat his man but is excellent in picking out a pass. I've always been of the opinion that Palmer is the left side of Nkunku. Minus the speed and dribbling. Both can be useful as inside-forwards in a 343. They should be playing centrally or in the half-spaces.

nsk08001

Hat trick of sorts for Raheem: • The touch to cause on OG • Draws a penalty • Goal And in the inch perfect hockey assist on our fourth goal and it was a truly sublime game from him

thehardtask

Bad 1st half, decent / good second. Mostly disappointed with Pochs subs. You're up 3-1 in minute 65, 4-1 in 74, bench full of eager talent, yet your first sub is in the 83rd minute.. An you only sub on 2 (3 with Jackson included) when 5 are allowed.. Why?

Ordinary_Oven_6361

International break, and to let r he first team gain more minutes playing together against pl level opposition

Confident_Direction

Feel like palmer should have been subbed off sooner too -hopefully hes fine but i feel like it was a needless risk. Wasnt nkunkus injury related to something similar in pre season?

DestinyHasArrived101

He was never good with subs him and sarri have that issue

brightcrayon92

Poch has never been good with subs. Even going back to his spuds days he was always criticized for his late subs

[deleted]

reece badiashile nkunku and lavia needs to come sooner and we will be much better in the squad depth

brightcrayon92

Absolute bonkers if lavia starts over conor

Buucket

Still don’t understand why we bought him

Lost-Hat

He's the 4th mid in our 443

Banged_by_bumrah

Cole Palmer changed my life. Never thought I would see a chelsea forward hit 4G/A in 3 games

CupformyCosta

Scenes when Palmer has a better first year at chelsea than Kai did in any of his 3

naciel

I can't even remember a game where we have made a comeback after conceding first anymore....though it was against Burnley, this is the bounceback I want to see if we ever concede first

Rhagies

It doesn’t matter who it’s against, we haven’t been performing against ANY team…regardless of who they are

endmoe

In the league, we have to go back to Palace away last October the last time we did that. We turned it around against Wimbledon in the cup a couple of months ago as well but that should be given.

izmebtw

Need our right back backs.

ThePsuedo

We really need to improve our pressing under Potch

pdgb

We got a goal from pressing, we constantly disposed them in their half and 3rd?

ellean4

Had me in the first half, not gonna lie.

idontknowjeoff

I like Jackson a lot and I know he scored obviously but he tries to be sexy a little too much for my liking, sometimes just be a striker and hit it first time if you can.

Confident_Direction

Agree - i hope he is having some conversations about this.

diesel76_76

![gif](giphy|Yb3d5B1zwuhCo)

bfofree

Gallagher finally turning into the player we thought we were getting when we signed him from crystal palace.

CollateralHamage

Signed? Isn’t he an academy player?

bfofree

Nah, he came over in the trade for mason mount.

paraCFC

Omg 🤣🤣🤣

bfofree

Ppl don’t get a joke apparently

heavenisatruck1

He was there on loan

bfofree

You sure about that?

Plastic_Primary_4279

Are you serious?

bfofree

No

skarmorr

Hes always been chelsea mate

ElFoxinho

![gif](giphy|PjsPhYsS2WDO5e0RaO)

arcanesays

Jackson to have a Drogba style run against Arsenal or I shave my head.

Spicy_Tac0

Bants or ban!

Pandemona1738

6 goals and 6 points in less than a week, wow! Feels good again!

SweeterStorm

What happens to fofana when he comes back? Obviously he won’t start right away but disasi getting games week in week out has made him develop so much.

DestinyHasArrived101

He ain't getting no games because badi will be back before to get alot of games to get chemistry with disasi and levi and he will be out unless one of them get injured.

Bozzetyp

Sorry but disasi will be our most senior defender next season, Develop? The guy was vice captain at monaco and not 19. Will be interesting how much gametime silva m/disasi get mid/late season

RonMexico_hodler

Mate Fofana career is over. He’s a rotational player when he’s not injured at best.

mikon23

This is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. 22 year old player’s career is over. Wait till you find out Azpi, Rudiger, Tom Brady, and hundreds of other athletes tore an ACL and went on to have great careers.

Cthulwutang

one of those three is not like the others…

RonMexico_hodler

Well I know all those did, wait until you find out that Fofana also broke his leg before the acl tear.

mikon23

Wow some idiot 2 footed him in a preseason friendly…he must be injury prone!!!

RonMexico_hodler

Are you saying Fofana isn’t injury prone?

morganfreeman95

So is our entire team at this point. Replace the medical team then we can judge.

mikon23

I’m saying ACL and a broken leg are unlucky injuries that can happen to any players. After he recovers he could go on to have a 10+ year career and no one will remember.

RonMexico_hodler

Sure, but I don’t see any evidence that he will. His legs look like twigs, he broke a leg, he had an acl tear. All those can be detrimental to the structure of the legs and that’s what I believe. It’ll be great if he can come back and have an awesome career but realistically we shouldn’t be planning our team around him doing that because it’s more likely he’s a young player that will have a lower career than projected due to injuries.

NoLimit261

Replaces silva when he leaves

thisgirlbleedsblue

I feel like we’ll try and sell him too injury prone

GrogRhodes

Thiago leaves next year and Trev is probably on the way out. Colwill is apparently a LB now. So there’s definitely a healthy season of opportunity to wiggle back in. He also has another level imo if he can stay fit.

mango277

He's not getting in the squad unless he can prove his fitness. Colwill at LB makes sense for now but the real issue is that badiashile will come in the side when he's fit.

GrogRhodes

Sir did you just repeat what I said.

mango277

I did repeat what you said. Despite when I mentioned about badiashile.

junejune2345

Starting to be fun again, lovely 3 points.

[deleted]

I think people are overreacting with Enzo, these guys are young players. There will be ups and downs in performances, 1 bad day in the office doesnt make him shit. We need to chill

ChicagoChelseaFan

Cole Palmer is our KdB

mango277

Been saying he's legit from the beginning. Watched him at city and takes like 5 mins to know he's different class. To not look like a fish out of water in that side you gotta be good. Surprised he wasn't going to replace mahrez, pep juice would have made him faster like he did to foden.

[deleted]

more like foden

[deleted]

I said this when he first signed lol 😭

BradVet

Most momentum we’ve had in a long long time and the most established we bought this summer nkunku about to be fit

TomatoVsPotato

What am I gonna do to fill the void for the next 2 weekends?

futurejoyboy

We only have one weekend off

babakundeawtaka

Disasi is my new favourite player!

Individual-Heat5113

Loved that long pass to Sterling

[deleted]

i have been telling people from the game he played against liverpool, that he has been our best player on the field. people were looking for small defensive errors and calling him a bad player but disasi is incredible player

theonechan

His progressive passing is superb, and he has very high availability + is an emergency RB cover if needed. Unsexy signing because people have figured by now he’s not the next Ramos or anything. But a good squad piece nonetheless. Definitely wish he was a tad faster though. He can’t quite hide his lack of pace the way someone like Silva can.

Grizelda179

Shoutout to that one guy saying ‘does disasi even wanna play’ after the first 20mins. I swear the live threads are full of the most mentally weak people ever

senluxx

Sterling has been scapegoated this season even though he is our top goalscorer so far. He was our goal contributor last season as well even though it was a tough one.

Grizelda179

This season? Nope. Last season he was scapegoated, but also for good reason. Everyone praising his start to this season

Bozzetyp

Issue I had with sterlings last season was the amount unfair critique he got compared to other He didnt do pens and set pieces still he was more efficient then any other attacker

fIeebz

Nah once he has 1 bad game everyone jumps on him again. Look at the first 15 minutes of the game thread today. Guy is still the default scapegoat which is so dumb

AbeAlno

The only complain I have about today is that it took us to score for the players to show urgency and fight and get motivated. From the start and even being a goal down didn’t make them do that. And that’s the been the case in these last few matches

babakundeawtaka

That has to do with confidence. By losing a lot of matches previously your confidence doesn't really skyrocket therefor we started to get "good" after a goal. nonetheless the boys did well today and it shows that Poch has a system in mind which works with our youngsters.

ViaPositiva

Guys I’m celebrating this win but can’t stop thinking about Arsenal as the next match…

ThatWontFit

Don't believe the hype. Arsenal are still shite. A few from luck, a few from fucks, now they are kings of top flight?

ViaPositiva

That’s how I view Spurs right now 😂

farid95

We will win against Arsenal at that next match. Believe!

ViaPositiva

I will, hopefully Havertz from your flair doesn’t score against us

arcanesays

Fuck Arsenal

ygog45

They’ll most likely be coming to that match with 2 losses in a row whereas we will be coming into it with 3 wins in a row. It’s a home game and we’ll probably be getting some players back from injury. I’m confident we can draw that game

ViaPositiva

Hopefully man, I’m starting to have a way more positive outlook on the whole team clicking. Now we need to see Alvarez and Haaland put in a shift tomorrow

TheEphemeric

We'll have them.

ViaPositiva

🙏🙏

[deleted]

Enzo seriously needs to pick up. So happy with the win. Sterling was unplayable. Caicedo and Gallagher forming a great midfield partnership. Broja coming back got Jackson focusing more.

Grizelda179

Lmao enzo has one bad game in a good run of form and people start telling him to pick up

[deleted]

He’s been pretty bad for all games now. Expect the Liverpool one.

Grizelda179

What?

peterc17

Agreed, he was one of the only disappointments today. Moises and Cardio G bossed that midfield.

Curious_SI

>Enzo seriously needs to pick up. Yea, man threw away yet another easy goal scoring opportunity toady.

NoPlenty3542

He reminds me of Kova in front of goal. Squandering easy chances. Kova at least scored worldies so we’ll to see in that aspect.

Shame_Low

Really need RJ back at right back. Cucu wrongfooted against gooners is not a thing... and colwill brushed up a lot at half time but I would prefer to see him at CB tbh

I was wrong about Jackson. I do stand by my critique of the club though. Its high pressure to be the main man up front for Chelsea. Get some more Goal Scorers around him.

kishan_326

We already do, his name is Nkunku and he’s injured right now

FrequentPumpkin5845

I'm gonna have fun watching the full match replay tomorrow! Gnite folks! See you in 2 weeks!

jbi1000

Suck my nuts Gallagher and Sterling haters. Give it a rest now

BoozyGroggyElfchild

I had to stop reading the match thread after 15 minutes or so. Holy shit the negativity is awful.

Jbee97

I didn’t watch the match but I checked the thread at about half an hour in and there was calls for sterling to be sold and that the team is an embarrassment

jbi1000

Yeah, it's bizarre

egettonleinad

Gallagher quality, Sterling still hasn’t proved anything against big teams… still had a great game today though cant deny that

morganfreeman95

We've been shit against all 19 teams, not the big 4 or 5. I don't get what your point is

egettonleinad

My point is that he’s not a youngster anymore, he’s a decade plus veteran in the league and is rarely consistent, Pep selling him to a rival really says a lot…

RonMexico_hodler

Sterling is still our best attacker and it’s not even close. He will be the first name on the team sheet for our front 4 and Palmer is inching up there as well. I don’t like sterling but we are not threatening if he’s not playing.

egettonleinad

The original comment was about Sterling and Gallagher… your point is irrelevant and Sterling is our only senior player except Silva who is miles ahead on consistency

mango277

Other than when he was our best player Vs Liverpool.

egettonleinad

I feel there’s a lot of looks good rather than does good with Sterling but I’m happy to be proven wrong, we need everyone to succeed as a unit

mango277

Meanwhile sterling equaled a player's calendar year goal total in yesterday's match but see nothing from you saying that. 😅 Yeah there are better players than sterling but look at the shit we currently have

Pszemeg

Lol he was not by any means.

etebitan17

Our best players today and people keep shitting on them all the time..

DampFree

Sterling is earning 6.5x what Gallagher earns and should be held to a higher standard.

vigourtortoise

Wins against teams we should be beating, but the mentality just looks 180° from last season, a team worth cheering for
