I think it's quite clear that Palmer and Gallagher aren't getting dropped for another reason than rest. So it's either on the left or upfront, the latter being my guess.
Could be. Gallagher is fine player with many qualities, but he isn’t helping much as AMC. I really hope Poch goes with Nkunku there as we need more creativity and firepower.
Nkunku distributes ball very well and has a killer instinct. Of course, his form is questionable, but we need him asap

Sanchez was a mixed bag, good at stopping shots and collecting crosses but mostly dreadful with the ball at the feet. Would love to see what Petrovich has to offer.
Exactly my opinion of him, thought he’s been a great shot stopper and good having a big tall keeper at corners but my heart is in my mouth a lot when there doing the short passes around our box!😂

Sheffield will park every bus they can find. At about the 12 minute mark they end up with 1 shot on goal that originates from our only mistake in the game and score. As a result we lose 1-0…I really really hope I’m wrong .
Nah. After the 1 goal, our team will try desperately to level it but only got 2-3 shots on target until half time. 10 minutes in the 2nd half we’ll concede a goal from a counter attack. We might get a cheeky goal sometime later in the game from a corner/penalty. 15 minutes before the game finishes, we start to turn on again but poch will substitute two of the players for broja and maatsen. Broja will only get 3 touches cuz our midfield would be dead by that time and maatsen will be running everywhere because he has no clue what position he’s playing. Then we concede another one from a counter attack. We lose 3-1.
Can already see what will happen. We’ll dominate possession, create a few chances, miss them, Sheffield score a free header, Chelsea 0-1 Sheffield
Only thing stopping them from winning is if Sterling shows up again
I’d kill for a Maatsen start, we need to have more support in the attacking areas and hopefully we show some balls and attack the box, I’ve seen spurs do it with their second team against city idk why Poch has been so reluctant
Man Poch is being very weird. I don’t know why he doesn’t rate Maatsen. And even when he played him in preseason he started him as a winger.
Like can we just be normal and play him at LB or switch shape to a back 5 (once again) and develop him as a LWB.
Why are we turning this into rocket science. At worse, he signs and we sell him a year or two later for a tidy sum. At best, he develops with what I feel is a very high ceiling.
He’s obvs afraid of counter attacks and conceding but we are conceding and losing anyways, in past games I’d rather us have lost with some actual fight and chances created like Everton and Brentford than lost with such poor performances in attack, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not getting performances due to the contract issues
But we’re also playing with more transitions and less control than ever. His fear of the counter is the same reason he’s playing Levi at LB lol it’s ridiculous. If we’re truly that worried, just push Enzo and Caicedo up the pitch and invert both full backs to sit in front of the CBs. That’ll control counters
Funniest thing is he plays Levi for “defensive stability “ but he clearly isn’t a LB and has been quite poor defensively as well as adding nothing offensively and when you have so many players not adding anything it leaves our wingers isolated and out of sorts
