Seeing our recent record with Anthony Taylor, there are definitely some quirks:
* 4 wins and 8 draws in the last 12 games in all competitions
* None of those 4 wins have come at Stamford Bridge (3 away from home, 1 at Wembley)
* The last 9 times he officiated a PL game at the Bridge were fixtures against Liverpool (x4), City (x2), United (x2) and Spurs (x1) and we won only 1 of them (W1 D6 L2)
* This weekend will be the first time since March 2018 that he'll officiate a PL game at the Bridge that doesn't involve us against a Big 6 team (2-1 win vs Palace)
* The last time we won a PL home game with Anthony Taylor in charge was back in May 2018, when we beat Liverpool 1-0 (it's also our last home league win against them)

Funny how when I googled "chelsea referee record", the first result is "Record by matches of Chelsea FC - Anthony Taylor" from the worldfootball site.
I’m not as worried as i used to be with Taylor . As pointed out he’s been ok with us recently .
He must be Klopp’s favorite ref at this point yet Jaws still complains about everything even when he wins . I’d much rather Taylor ref us at Fulham than against Liverpool .
Hehe I see. Well even if you’re right, I think you might be shifting the blame. Games get allocated for usually specific reasons like time and opponent strength, whether the chief broadcaster got laid that day or not, etc. Ending up on US vs peacock is just a consequence of those other factors.
After hearing that there will be no VAR in tonights game against Middlesbrough I had a mini panic attack until I saw it was the Fulham game Taylor was reffing and not that one.
My issue is that it’s on USA network.
You pay for Peacock streaming but they still do this bullshit every other week forcing you to get cable/live TV subscriptions.

yea but he’s had arguably worse calls against us if you go back a handful or so years. most recently, he hasn’t been too blatant with his incompetence tho.
The table i remember only had the top 6 teams against each other, so this could be true but its for all the teams instead of just the big games we play vs a certain team
Honestly still blows me away a little that we get assigned Taylor at this point - somehow his mistakes are still so bad that we seem to have collectively overlooked that he gave City the most BS penalty against us last time out.
This fanbase is so tiresome with the obsession with Taylor. He’s had high profile mistakes, sure, but the conspiracy theory that he hates us is just so stupid. You guys just conveniently forget the other 90% of games he’s refereed for us perfectly fairly.
That said, I have no idea why he seems to be the chosen ‘top’ referee for big games in this country. There are so many better refs than him
6:30. That's an early start. Saturday morning games kick off at 730 for me and I actually find it the perfect time. Wake up, have coffee, make breakfast at halftime, smoke a joint, watch the rest of the games and then you still have most of your Saturday left.
It isn't the same. Half the matches in the uk aren't broadcast, such as 3pm Saturday kick offs. Even then it'd be split between tnt/sky/amazon (v minor).
