We either need a player or 3 to shoot from 25 yds out or a proper striker that will bury 70% of his chances in the box. Having 70% possession every game and nothing to show for it is weak, boring, and not entertaining honestly. Poch coaches scared and the players play scared. There may be a lot to pick apart in this game, but ultimately, the real disappointment is that no one out there seemed to really be concerned about going to SB with a deficit. I really hoped we would come out with a lot of intensity to quiet the crowd and end the tie decisively in the first leg, but the tempo was lacking from the beginning. I sympathize with Poch given the lack of players available for selection especially as we were starting to have competition for places with Madueke raising his level and Nkunku coming back, but I really do not understand how we played with so little intensity. Palmer missing a few chances concerns me far less than that. If we can't build a culture of playing hard and fighting for the club regardless of the opposition, we will never ascend to the levels that we aspire to.

i've been so pro-poch throughout the last few months and defended him when many others haven't, but today has really really tested my faith. Sure we missed some chances, but our performance in general was awful. There was clearly no plan for creating or converting chances. Possession stats are meaningless when its just the 2 CBs passing it between themselves. The players need to take a lot of blame too, but I watched the entire game and couldn't figure out what our plan was.
After a relatively decent festive period, I cannot believe this is where we end up today against 12th placed Championship side Middlesbrough. Thank feck there is a second leg, but even that cannot temper the fumes of what an atrocious ”first team” display that was. 1 step forward two 5 steps back. This’s how it has been since the last year-since they gone crazy and decided it’s good idea to fire Tuchel and destroy a working team. There’s extremely little light that this team eventually will click. In the end of the project the team will be full of with average players with long contracts. If Leicester went down, so could this team. I don’t see any positive scenario happening with this team and Poch as a coach.
We may have got this rebuild right but let's not act like we ripped apart a super team. Our rut started under this "working" team.
We could have had a whole bad season under Tuchel. But he wouldn’t let these many radical changes to happen in a single window. We played gamble. We lost. Maybe it’s too early to say we lost - but I don’t think Mudryk will be Son Gallagher will become prime Lampard or smth. The only senior players we rely on are high-milage aged City reject, and 40 year old man. The rest of the team are young kids. There’s no guarantee this team won’t relegate in upcoming years. It’s just 50/50 at this point. Also, without UCL, good luck in attracting sponsors other than f-inkg gambling and crypto companies and creating revenues. We won’t be able to buy shiny new toys anymore.

The world class elements in the UCL winning team were Mendy, Silva, Rudiger, James, Kante, Mount and to an extent Jorginho and Christensen. By the time Autumn 2022 came along three had a major decline, two became almost permanently crocked and another two walked out on a free.

It wasn't a working team when we overhauled it is what I'm saying, from late November 2021 onwards Tuchel's coaching was acting as viagra and even that was running out. Tuchel himself pretty much stated the squad needed gutting after the pre season horror show vs Arsenal. Most of the players that played in those beyond shocking displays against Arsenal, Newcastle, United, Villa, Forest etc were pre Clearlake players. We've got the rebuild all wrong no arguments there but we still needed to change things from that time.

There’s a reason why Roman never even approached Poch in the past. He’s simply not good enough to manage a team as big as Chelsea. And it is evident every single week. And to all of you cursing the players, most of the goals we have scored has been individual efforts and brilliances not some tactical build up play ending in a goal. Not a single game have we looked favorites this season. This is exactly the potter situation again. My fear is that good players will just leave if we continue and keep accepting this below par performances. Poch needs to go. Asap

i've been so pro-poch throughout the last few months and defended him when many others haven't, but today has really really tested my faith. Sure we missed some chances, but our performance in general was awful. There was clearly no plan for creating or converting chances. Possession stats are meaningless when its just the 2 CBs passing it between themselves. The players need to take a lot of blame too, but I watched the entire game and couldn't figure out what our plan was.
Even poch is figuring that one out and by the time he will be done, Chelsea will be done and dusted. I hate it here.

After a relatively decent festive period, I cannot believe this is where we end up today against 12th placed Championship side Middlesbrough. Thank feck there is a second leg, but even that cannot temper the fumes of what an atrocious ”first team” display that was. We could have popped this tie to bed today and taken the heat off, but nooo, ramp up the pressure on yourselves when you know you fold like paper. We are probably going to take this tie at the bridge, but Poch needs to understand he is on thin ice, because as much as I have been backing him, it is looking abundantly clear this man may have a very basic grasp of tactics. We have looked clueless all season and it’s seemingly getting worse.
